Yeah she's getting on my nerves. It seems like she's having a little bit too much to do with Gaga for this album. Do we even know how much input she had on The Fame/The Fame Monster? This is the first time I've heard of her really. GaGa couldn't even make the Judas music video the way she wanted it because Laurie-Ann thought her original idea was too much or too crazy.
Even GaGa's choreography isn't as good as it used to be.

Oh well, I doubt GaGa will drop her, they're supposedly really good friends.

She choreographed every single video besides Just Dance. Kinda scary. I hope they break up.

Haha

Hurts (the fantasic UK Pop band) are remixing Judas! It's set out to release on May 16th in the Judas EP. Holy motherflippin' shit. This is amazing. Hurts' Happiness is probably my favorite 2010 record. I'm shocked.

Pop Justice is UNBEARABLY slow and I didn't get the chance to listen to the one-minute snippet: http://bit.ly/lWWVjP

I will record it & upload it as soon as I get a chance to hear it.

I LOVE Hurts! Thanks for posting the preview, it sounds great! Can't wait to hear more original stuff from them though.

Dayum Gaga shoulda just collaborated with Hurts to make JUDAS.

OfficialMedia are claiming they have the album now. Standard Edition I believe, these are the guys who leaked Femme Fatale almost two weeks(?) before it's release. Interesting.

I JUST WANT TO HEAR IT ALL ;_;

The OfficialMedia on Twitter?

Idk, they seem shady. If they have the album, why don't they just leak it already?
Telling people to show them pictures of themselves with gaga related merchandise.. idk it just sounds like a joke to me.

And yeah I want to hear the fucking album too, especially Bloody Mary and Electric Chapel.

LEAK PLZ. Perfect timing too, I'm returning home tomorrow.

In any case, the standard edition is going to be streamed next Wednesday so the wait is almost over. I hope the bonus tracks and remixes remain behind closed doors though, so I can have a surprise when I get the Expanded Edition.

I suppose you have a point. They're asking what song we want leaked now, maybe they're going to leak something else soonish.

Would be nice but after reading your post I am not gonna get my hopes up.

People keep referencing "Classic Gaga" or how her prior stuff is better than her new stuff, and it's kinda surprising to me. The Fame is way overrated; aside from Paparazzi and a couple of others there's absolutely nothing special (or "Gaga") about any of those tracks. Pokerface gets way more praise than it needs, and Just Dance is a standard mediocre top 40 club track. No thank you. When I think of Lady Gaga's best work I think of Born This Way and Bad Romance. And so far all three BTW singles rank among her best five tracks.

I've been a fan of hers since that video was put up of her performing on Perez Hilton's site, but I didn't think any of those songs were anything special, they were just decent pop songs. This new stuff is where it's at. Edge of Glory is fantastic.

Give me Just Dance over Juas annnnnnnnny day of the week.

I read through the entire thread and your posts stick out like a sore thumb. You're a fanboy apologist who can't admit when his beloved artists makes a misstep. I'm not saying you can't enjoy the songs, but your constant defence of them reeks of someone who can't be objective.

Slamming her earlier work is an apologist? Naw.

Judas (Hurts Remix) is out/leaked (YT link): http://k42.dadacapo.com/2s1K1Q2N0i3A3V0k3F04

If anyone wants me to record it for him just tell me. The recording will be as good as it sounds. Though I highly suggest listening to it one or two times and just wait for Judas EP to hear everything. You don't wanna get "tired" of it.

Edit: oh it's not leaked, that's the official Lady Gaga YouTube account.

I genuinely think that The Fame Monster shits on The Fame and destroys it. And out of the tracks I heard so far, I think Born This Way is shaping up to be as good as I'd ever hope.

I'm not even a "fanboy" (there's no wrong in being one; I enjoy Mega Man 8 even though it's a miserable pile of shit.) I used to extremely criticize her in just about every case. But I truly think she's outdoing herself. That's a personal opinion.

Is it too late for Gaga to erase the original Judas forever and replace it with that remix on the full album?
I'm almost serious.

Booo this man!

;) I greatly prefer the original Judas. The remix is interesting, but I'm not a fan of dub-step.

Judas isn't the worst thing Lady Gaga has done, but I think the aaaAAAHH-ohhh-aaaAAAHH part really drags it down, and its melody doesn't do much for me.

Didn't see it mentioned here, and I'm not really a Gaga fan (of the music, but she is kind of cool), but the album is going to be available for Spotify premium users (in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands and Spain) five days prior to the international release.

Thought it was noteworthy.

Amazing! Though my Spotify account is UK. Is it as simple as changing the country from the Accounts page?

Has the V magazine shoot been posted?

She looks beautiful (which I dont use often for GaGa)

She also did her first column on that magazine. Its an incredibly arrogant piece IMO

Here are some miscellaneous pics & info copied from a lovely tumblr I follow.

"In the U.S. alone, Gaga has sold 31,748,359 singles and 5,803,703 albums."

"Lady Gaga is considering releasing nine singles from this album, an ambitious idea, but given the breadth of material on offer here, not a silly one. The finished article is likely to be imperfect – it’s been a quarter of a century since a Brian May axe solo was an attractive prospect – but it already feels like Born This Way is a landmark pop album." -- The Word Magazine

"It is hard to remember the last time anyone mad an album quite like Born This Way. The sound of it – a mix of high-octane industrial techno and europop with a heavy Bruce Springsteen influence – is unusual, for a start. Then there is the subject matter – immigration laws, death, spirituality, prostitution, love and stardom –and the fact that, in a world of artists who turn up to a studio and sing whatever their A&R man says they should sing, this is a completely artist-driven pop LP. This really is a most peculiar album; an uncompromising, fearless set of songs that’s also designed to sell – and will sell – millions of units." -- The Word Magazine

Other guests on the show included Gwyneth Paltrow and Geoffrey Rush. The Graham Norton Show airs tonight on BBC1 at 10:35pm GMT/ 5:35pm EST."

Oh yes please, I need videos for every single song.

I went out to lunch today with my friend, and on the way back we came across posters advertising Born This Way, and also....some tape! I took a bunch of course :D

damn, she must not know much about music if she doesn't know who MarC Bolan is.

Please show me how many 25 years olds do. T-Rex is but a footnote now. Unless you're studying Glam Rock, it's Get it On and that's about it.

Hell there are plenty of 25 year olds that have never heard The Beatles outside of commercials. it's very possible to know plenty about music without knowing about Marc Bolan.

for someone to claim that she is a huge music historian, it seems to be a glaring oversight.

Dammit. Why did I look at this thread title?

Now I've got Weird Al's "Perform this way" stuck in my head.

AGAIN.

/cry

It was stuck in my head for 3 days straight last week.

Ugh, I've had Born This Way on repeat for a while now, after not listening to it because I thought It wasn't that good. I don't know why this happens with Gaga, same thing happened for me with several songs on the Fame Monster, and my favorite Gaga song is always rotating for this reason, lol!

yeah lets promote ignorance

gaga sounds like a bitch.. i used to think all her humility and crying shit she did was genuine but now i think she's just a phony

w/e though ill still listen to the album when it drops

70s glam rock is mostly terrible and we'd all be better off if it was ignored and swept under the rug. But because people can't leave it for dead, we get awful bands like The Darkness trying to bring that shit back.

groups like kiss and all those cheesy american hair metal bands posing as glam, sure, sweep it under the rug

t. rex, bowie, roxy music, new york dolls are great though

also some groups have successfully revived glam in a great way like suede (although that was over a decade ago admittedly)

Are people trolling about the Marc remark? She obviously does know who he is but just misspelled his name.

that actually isnt a big deal to me .. mostly just the dismissing of t. rex :(

Yeah, which is why I said mostly. Shit like Kiss and Sweet (I'll admit that 'Ballroom Blitz' is ace though) brought us all those awful hair metal bands in the 80s, which led to 'Unskinny Bop'.

Yeah, very snooty.
It's a shame. Somewhere along the way she seems to have decided that arrogance is the proper outlet for passion. But then, many people in the world of fashion and celebrity walk around with their noses so high in the air that they'd drown in a springtime shower. Maybe you have to be a bitch to survive as an independent artist when all sorts of shallow little people want to knock you down.

On the other hand, Gaga's success could have gone to her head. It doesn't really matter to me unless she stops making good music.

She just needs to shut the fuck up and release catchy music. Her work is not worthy of the pride and arrogance she has displayed so ineloquently as of late.

I'm now hooked on Born This Way. I find myself singing bits of it like I used to sing the opening to Bad Romance. The same thing is slowly happening with Judas and Edge of Glory. This album is going to be incredible.

that could have been something a lazy copy-editor accidentally corrected
