I dont really like it =S

And I was ready to love it so much, I wanted to take it behind a middle school and get it pregnant :/

Still motherfucking excited for the album though

Because I can hear it? If you're aiming to provoke then you're not an artist, you have nothing to say. Or are you considering her shameful pandering to LGBT communities ("Don't be a drag just be a Queen") to be real expression.
This has to be the dumbest thing I've seen anyone say about art on GAF, and I've seen some whoppers.

Does the name Jackson Pollock ring a bell? Ever heard of Rene Magritte ("this is not a pipe") or Piss Christ? One of art's primary functions is to push boundaries, to provoke, to make people think by challenging their assumptions and making them uncomfortable. You sound like the kind of person who would dismiss Marilyn Manson as an artist because "clearly he's just out to shock people."

I'm in the camp that doesn't think it's better than Bad Romance. Another reason I found the "too dancey" comment on the previous page a bit funny is because the beat doesn't go as hard as I was expecting (especially after hearing those previews on Gagavision).

Still like the song though, especially the bridge. Can't wait to see what happens in the video.

lol gurl I don't know how I feel about this.

Speaking of Bad Romance (which is superior), did she ever release a version where she actually says "free bitch" instead of "bit"?

Can we have at least one GAGA thread where transphobic bigots don't shit the place the up with "lol she has a dick" posts?

We get it, you hate her because you heard she was transgendered. Guess what--the rest of us don't care, so your hateful attempts to smear her with the tranny label isn't going to change anyone's mind.

On topic, the song is fi-yah.

Yah, the entire uncensored album is on iTunes actually.

It's better than BTW but doesn't touch her better singles like Bad Romance. The song's going to be HUGE during the early summer though, I can already tell.

Okay, definitely not as good as Bad Romance. I just don't feel its hooks in my head the same way I did the first time I saw the Bad Romance video. I find Government Hooker catchier as well. And Born This Way, to be perfectly honest, but maybe that's just because it's had some time to sink in.

I'm not disappointed with Judas, I'm just unimpressed. That may change. (I expect the music video for this one will be a trip. Blasphemelicious!)

Edit:

Available on UK iTunes, listening now. It's sick!! :D

"Jesus is my virtue" - Gross.
Also this. Leave that stuff to the cheesy Christian rock bands, Gaga.

I lahv this song. It's got a definite Bad Romance 2.0 feeling to it, but I'm really loving it.

Just back from jogging with Judas on my playlist. I can say:

  • Overall a nice song. I've listened to it more already than I ever will to Born This Way.
  • Verses and bridge are the best parts
  • Chorus is a bit too much like aerobic music: too uplifting and the bass seems less present than in the other parts of the song.
  • Had hoped the last chorus of the song would "explode" a bit more instead of just "tagging along".
  • "Jesus is my virtue". Fuck that. I think all those religious (and LGBT) references are too obvious and cheesy, but I chose to ignore most. The virtue part is just too obvious to ignore however.

The song is sung from Mary Magdalene's perspective.

Like it much more than Born This Way. My favorite part is the Jesus virtue line. Not because of what it means, I just like that part. :P

Completely agree on all points. Based on the bridge, I hear a lot of potential for some great breakdowns in the coming remixes. Every time I hear the "Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh oh ooh oh" part, I keep expecting it to go into Hall and Oates' "Maneater".

So first impression was meh. I didn't really like how Gaga's voice sounded in the verses, and I still sort of wish that it was just her normal voice.

I fucking love the chorus, and the one after the bridge is fantastic with her voice in the background. Very Bad Romance-esque.

The song is definitely growing on me, and I like it better than Born This Way for sure.

As for the religious stuff, I'd rather have that than the whole gay anthem thing. Not against gay's but it's just more ammo for the haters to give me shit about listening to Gaga.

JUDAS
JUDA-AHAH

The more I listen to it the more I like it.

Heh. Don't love it, don't hate it. Production is generic, but at least it's not the horrendous noisy mess that BTW was. I'll give it a few more listens, hopefully it will grow on me.

First listen now, and.. I don't know what to think. Certainly nowhere near as good as the best material from The Fame Monster.

Edit: It's pretty much Bad Romance part II, only nowhere near as good as Bad Romance was

The verses are probably the weakest parts of the song but the stuff she says in there are pretty funny and clever.

The bridge is probably the sickest song segment she's ever done. Just the overlay of her higher register over her talking gave me chills. But the shit she says in it are the best part: "Kiss me if Offenced, or wear an ear condom next time." WUT

I like it better than Bad Romance; it's just more dynamic and exciting. Not quite on the level of awesome that Born This Way holds, but a close second ain't so bad.

I listened to it twice and twenty minutes later don't remember anything from it :\

Hadn't the melody been so similar to Bad Romance it would've been a fairly forgettable song. I'm losing faith in Gaga. Did she blow her load with The Fame Monster?

You know, after listening to Judas a few more times, I think it's going to make for seriously great remix material. Born This Way is still better, but parts of Judas are pretty catchy.

Yeah, some of the lyrics are gold.

In the most Biblical sense, I am beyond repentance
Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind
But in the cultural sense I just speak in future tense
Judas kiss me if offensed
Or wear an ear condom next time
Shit's whack. Love it.

Oh come on GaGAF, the fuck is this -- JuDAAA JUDA AH AH JuDAAA JUDA AH AH

Bridge was nice, but the chorus was borderline stupid, I can't sing along to that without laughing at myself

Wow.....didn't think it was possible for it be worse than Born This Way

Gaga has officially jumped the shark.
This x100

If this album isn't better than Fame Monster, Gaga will be sucked

A song doesn't need to have a singalong quality to be good, unless that's specifically what you're looking for in it. And besides, "rah rah rumamah ga ga oh lah lah" is just as stupid, haha. :)

I should've put a period after the stupid chorus part. It sounds dumb and I can't sing along is what I meant to say.

I wasn't a huge fan of Bad Romance either, Poker Face sounded dumb but at least the repetition there didn't sound like I was choking myself.

I'll just give it some time, turns out BR wasn't as bad as I thought it was when I first heard it.
