Lana has being out there since Cloud Atlas went into production. Things were still very secretive during the Speed Racer production. I bet WB was being extra protective about that and at the end of the day it was irrelevant to that films performance.

Lana's style is similar to Franka Potente's look from Run Lola Run. Oddly, their co-director on Cloud Atlas, Tom Tykwer, directed that movie. Coincidence?!?!?!?!

I've been told that V for Vendetta was ghost directed by the Wachowskis and that their names were only on it as co-producers so they wouldn't have to do anything press related while Lana was going through medical stuff pertaining to gender reassignment.

Hormones won't do anything for MtF (it can for FtM), but there are a few options like vocal chord scraping. I'm not really familiar with it, though, as it's something I've not had to consider.

To his defense I don't really see what's so wrong with what he said... is it a requirement to not think this situation is "gross" in order to be tolerant of it? It's not like he said he thought it was wrong, just that he thought it was gross. Just as an example (not meant to derail, only thing I could think of that is semi related) I don't think gay sex is wrong, but if someone showed me gay porn I'd certainly think it's gross.

I mean he even said "Good for him." (although I suppose the lack of "her" might be offensive to some) Best thing would have been to not post at all, though.
