League of Legends Championship Series: Season 5

Next split should start around June right? Normally they have play off's when gamescom is on but with them not going to that this year then it could be a but later than June.

Thinking of maybe trying to get tickets to the semi's of worlds this year if not the final itself. Have been to the last two years summer split play off finals at gamescom and it was so good so think worlds this year will be something worth going to plus that EU crowd always rocks at big LOL events.

Not sure if Forgiven and Edward are really compatible but the potential is here. And that will be one salty botlane for sure.
There are a lot of interesting lineup coming up this split. If Fnatic can maintain their MSI performance to guide the other teams, the overall EU level should raise nicely.

Finally watched the rest of the MSI event even though Riot spoiled it on leagueoflegends.com... jerks.

Amazing games in the end there. Feels like EDG and SKT were very evenly matched. Could have gone either way. I don't like SKT swapping players around like that. It strikes me as more of a gimmick than anything else and I think it hurt them.

TSM was so disappointing :( Really expected more out of them. Not a lot of thoughts otherwise. Going to make teams think long and hard about the competition at worlds.

Mega drama-bomb dropped by ex-CLG's midlaner Link, after just leaving the team.

It's a juicy read.

And in case you suspect he's making shit up, he has some corroborating voices and/or comments implicitly endorsing it:

Juicy indeed.
One biggest problem I have is with double and him not playing as a team player. I mean he flamed the entire team and blame deflected after playoffs ended. To me that’s the biggest backstab anyone can do. You either lose as a team or you win as a team.

[Doublelift will] trust teammates in the beginning and let jungler go top or mid or elsewhere but at some point something is going to relate to him. It’s what has happened for the past 2-3 years. When playoff approaches somehow it becomes his responsibility to step up and ruin the dynamic of the team that everyone was working on for the entire split.

I really tried to help people after the game and tried to change their mentality, but you try telling doublelift sorc shoes is better on corki than berserkers.

hot, steaming, as melted butter slips into the cracks, drizzled with sticky sweet syrup OH GOD
Oh boy, more NA LCS drama. Honestly CLG is so poorly managed I'm surprised it took this long for shit to hit the fan.

Meanwhile, KR, CN, and EU, continue to evolve and grow into stronger and stronger regions because they're willing to bench and replace underperforming players.

New Elements lineup

Today marks the official beginning of an almost entirely new lineup for Elements. After what proved to be a more than difficult spring split for us, the team unanimously decided that drastic changes were needed before continuing the summer split and fight for the much coveted spot at Worlds.

Building anew means saying goodbye to players who's been striving towards the same goals as us for a long time, people who's become trusted colleagues, travel companions and close friends outside of the game. We would like to thank them for all the things we have had together, through good times and bad, and wish both Krepo, Mike "Wickd" Petersen, Ilyas ''Shook'' Hartsema and Martin 'Rekkles' Larsson the best of luck in the next chapter of their careers!

We have tailored and tinkered with the new lineup for months now and put a lot of effort into ensuring that the team were equally motivated, had the desired attitude and would function as a cohesive unit both in and outside of the game.

I am very happy and proud to announce the Elements LCS Summer lineup will be:

- Jesper 'Jwaow' Strandgren
- Marcel "dexter" Feldkamp
- Henrik "Froggen" Hansen
- Erik ''Tabzz'' van Helvert
- Hampus 'promisq' Abrahamsson

With Patrick" Nyph" Funke continuing as our Head Coach.

As you can see, the new squad is a combination of experienced performers, eager upcoming players and fresh talent with great potential. It is with this recipe that we hope to regain former strength and perform on a level that we and our fans can truly be proud of.

- Jacob Toft-Andersen, Elements Team Owner.

Xpecial has came forth to give us the benefit of his philosophy on the CLG drama. It's been too long since some genuinely good drama.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBQ7pokDHqc

Damn Xpecial doesn't hold back in his Vlog. "So when I see him be like, "Oh yeah, this is a farewell letter" - no, it's a "fuck you" letter. That's pretty much what it is. It's like, "I hate my team, and I've left the team now, so I'm gonna make everyone look bad"."

There seems to be a serious lack of cohesion and professionalism in the LCS.

Well, lots of them are very young adults. It doesn't help that gaming houses aren't set up professionally. I guess to some of them, it just feels like a place where they can eat sleep and play. It's nice that there are those taking steps to correct this though, like separating the work and non-work places.

This NA drama is some immature, embarrassing shit.

Can you imagine leaving your job and writing out pages and pages of this dirty laundry? You'd never be hired anywhere again. And that's the problem. NA teams like CLG aren't treating this like a job. They see it as a way to gain money and popularity. As long as they hold this mentality they'll never compete with the Chinese and Korean teams. It's a frat house full of egos trying to outdo each other for internet points.

There's some shocking stuff in there. "Saint's a great player but kind of a jerk." "Doublelift is an idiot savant who only knows micro." The community never could have begun to suspect this sort of thing was the case.

I love how each time someone chimes in the whole thing takes a new twist

Doublelift is a bitch! Actually Link is a bitch! But Link did so much for the team! While whining like a little baby!

And everyone seems to agree that Seraph is a cunt

I know this kinda drama makes the entire scene look bad but it's so damn entertaining. Knowing there is a giant ego controlling that character on the screen is what makes NA LOL esports the most entertaining in the world.

Eh, I mean a lot of the players on blast here are Season 1 guys. I think it was kind of an open secret most of them were mind-blowingly egotistical and self-absorbed, the old school "brands" were pretty much built around collecting as many of those personalities in one room as possible and setting them loose on a team of slightly less egotistical players.

Though there's something to be said for any retrospective where Reginald comes out looking like a more or less level-headed individual. Oh, CLG.

elementz version is the best

However this isn't why Chauster got the nick name "Scumbag Chauster" it just added on to what was already there. He got that nickname for posing as a girl in his GF Missy at the time's all girls tournament. She had stacked the odds with him filling in as one of the players and then got caught doing that. He got caught playing in his GF's all girls tournament to make sure his GF's team won. Thus began Scumbag Chauster. That combined with the no filter attitude when it comes to talking about people in a public forum is the basis for the nickname.

These LCK promotions are worth watching just for the hilarious awkwardness of Chobra trying to solo-cast. I mean, he's got a very conversational tone rather than a blow-by-blow kind of delivery, so it's just so cringe-inducing.
