Will post feedback later today when I'm not posting on a phone but I want to see reviews of older sets...=D
New set up I found on brickset:
60062: Arctic Ice Breaker
Would look pretty funny with something like this:
I don't have that many sets but that's an idea. You mean you don't mix Batman with your other sets?
Pet Shop isn't going anywhere for quite a while. The next to go are Town Hall and Grand Emporium, you'll want them ASAP - on that you can count.
LEGO finally revealed this one - it has a lot more going on than I expected, including being the only other Arctic set with the polar bear, and the third set with a sled dog team. I'm thinking the price will be high for this one, but I am impressed.

I said I wasn't going to... but the dark side drew me in.
Ordered Jek 14 and Corporate Alliance Tank to score the poster & revan figure >.<
It's okay, I don't need food. I think I'll go on that all water diet from that recent GAF thread
A little help from those that have built modular or that size building.
I'm doing a roof mostly flat for my Taito Station modular and it's got a bit of a curve to it so it's not sitting flat. I have tried to copy the way modulars do the roof but this is bigger and flatter perhaps. On the under side I put a couple of large plates but that has not cured it.
This is the basic structure but as I have built it I get a small gap at each end so the sides are higher than the middle.
Any ideas?
OH MY GODBring on the The Thing MOCs!
Artoo's gone into a "will ship in 30 days" bit at S@H. Something's telling me this is likely my last chance on this set, so I'm willing to bite.
In cases like this, does S@H charge your card immediately or on ship?

Looks good. For solving the curve issue, Try using just 2x wide plates underneath to connect the larger plates on top. It keeps it stable, but also curves a bit less.
A row of 1x wide plates along the roof before you stack the 2x1 grooved bricks might help as well. Or perhaps going with 2x instead for extra strength at the edges.
For the lights on the front, I love it. It looks like a combo of SNOT and jumper plates before sticking the rod pieces in. Maybe it you used some 1x2 bricks with holes in them, then put a grey technic stud in them before threading the rod through might back them a bit more stable too, and will strengthen the grip of the rods too.
I REALLY want to see this MOC when it is done, because the cabinets are fantastic.
OH MY GOD
I think that the City Arctic is the first time I've been driven to own every set from a theme. (Aside from my obsession with getting every Iron Man armor but I don't think I needed all the sets for that) There's something about it that I'm just head over heels about.
Not sure I understand what you mean about the 1x2 bricks with technic stud; do you mean use that in conjunction with the bracket/jumper I am using or to replace them? Can you knock up an example?
I get into atheme once every couple of years and have to have them all. Monster Hunters, Alien Defense Force, DC/Marvel, ect. I'm so close to having all latest Coast Guard sets that I might as well just get the last 2. I think I may get into the new Agents theme...maybe.
Picked up 2 random Simpson minifigs at the local Meijer today. Ended up with Lisa and Bart. My husband is now convinced he needs them all, and since they were just $3.00 we will be going back soon.
Lego simpsons just aired. Very cute episode and timely as my dark ages ended just a month ago and I'm a huge simpsons fan. Lots of freeze frame jokes.
I hate to admit it but i'm a sucker for those pre-fab boat hulls. I usually buy a set or two from a series and looks like i'll be getting that arctic ship for sure.
The bracket/jumper combo is working. I was just thinking for stability to replace with some different stuff.
Use these, then thread this through it...
then thread this into that brick.
Should be a bit bitter in the grip for the bars so they wont snap off so easily.

Ok so myself and a friend are trying out hand at video reviews for LEGO on youtube, we've coined out channel "1980s Something" and have launched with the first review of the Ghostbusters set!
We've already learnt a lot after this first one, this is obviously a lot longer than we would expect most reviews to be because of my connection to it and there's a lot of other improvements we've come up with but if you have any feedback, like if you would even want to watch more of our reviews or not, let me know.
you better take that back before phonce comes back. xDThat combo looks a lot like a flick fire missile.
Did I done goof?
Hmm, finally found two Simpsons minifigs but I also encountered a lot of bags that were torn open. Alas seems like a lot of that going on, didn't see much of it so much with the other series but this one has everyone up in a tizzy.
We don't take kindly to flick missiles around here. Almost as bad a stickers if some people are to be believed.
You guys may have seen these already but I let my daughter play with the ecto-1 yesterday and this is what she did with it.
