LEGO |OT 3| Build Hard. Buy Fast. No Mercy.

The Vaporizor is hella sweet. I only put a couple stickers on but I just found myself playing with it for the past 30 minutes. The robot splits in two and the top becomes a jet! Then the bug tears open the tank's tires and the legs of the mech plug into the bottom of that to evacuate and repair.

Can't wait for more GS sets!

i wish I had some ice planet... sigh. I really need to spend some quality time on bricklink :)

I love the logo... the long legacy that started with the classic space logo lives on

One of the best space themes around, I highly recommend the sets, especially the starship.

that's probably my favorite of the Galaxy Dudes sets, the way the wee mech sits in the back is very cute. Its feet are genius.

Plus around 73 chinese minifigs that will come next week and the complete Simpsons cmf that i'm slowly garhering

I just got my cancellation email for the two skiffs I ordered during the 50% off May 4th sale. Kind of bummed but on the other hand, I got a Darth Revan for buying only two Mandalorian Fighters and a keychain.

Where are you all ordering your chinese figs? And do any of the sellers you use sell the Bohrok bootlegs from Bionicle?

http://www.aliexpress.com/ Just search for minifigures.

Some sellers are on Amazon, but a little pricier.

I wonder how they get away with this stuff? They produce on such a large scale. China has to be going out of their way to protect these bootleg manufacturers.

EDIT: I always wonder if some of the bootleg sellers have any idea on the source material when they make them.

Anyone need an army of Jedi Ackbars? http://www.aliexpress.com/store/pro...stern-Animiation-movie/135190_1840359348.html

This is clever and I guess not a bootleg.

So it appears I may be fitted with this monstrosity. If so I will be able to build again!

Hopefully I can start hitting the backlog in a few weeks.

What the ...? How is there not a better looking version with today's technology?

First order of business is to make a Technics version of that thing.

My local LEGO store is hiring for a temporary brick specialist and I'm thinking of applying. If anyone could give some advice about getting hired there I'd appreciate it. Should I apply online or got to the store and ask for an application?

I like what I see :)

That sled looks like a very interesting build. Mrs. Claus is a fine looking minifig. Rawr. Other minifigs aren't anything new, but the elf variation will go nicely with the elf CMF.

Overall, I'm not wowed by the set except for Mrs. Claus and some interesting build techniques I see. Not saying the set is bad, just not wow'd by it. I like the brick built reindeer too. Set has a nice and simple feel to it with nice details.
I will definitely get it.

Looks like a smaller set than the last couple releases.

Thank goodness. I'm looking forward to a nice little set that's not too pricey. The winter sets were getting very pricey.

Santa's Workshop looks sweet. I ran out of space with last years's set, so going forward I'll probably have this set and a couple others per year.

I don't think they have paper applications, they'll just direct you to jobs.lego.com.

It might help to go down there on a weekday when it's slow and introduce yourself to the manager so he can put a face to the application, though. I imagine you're good as long as you come off as personable since the job is 90% dealing with customers. Pretty sure they have an initial drug screening and background check so make sure you're ok there too.

Been wanting a nice sleigh with reindeer. Mrs. Claus looks good, but yea definitely looks smaller than the last two sets. That's fine as long as the price matches size.

Really wanting another huge Christmas Tree in a set like the Toy Shop I missed out on. Also hoping they go back to a more integrated Winter Village line where all the sets keep going together to form a nice winter village scene.

I'm guessing that Santa's Workshop will be in the Post Office price area: 69.99 up to 79.99. That's based on how the set seems to be a 700-1000 piece set.

Definitely gettInt this and WVM this year! (b4 WVM goes OOP...)

From the Hoth Brick comments via google translate:
"Eye from a polybag (30197) purchased in eBay and apparently planned for Christmas 2014."

From someone else: Leprechauns are also quite beautiful.

Heh.

Dat new Batflek costume guys... I wonder if LEGO will release an updated Batman cowl/helm with shorter ears? :) I sure hope so.

Oh, and Batmobiles... lots of Batmobiles. Batman vs Superman & the Arkham Knight one. :3

PalaceBrother: I had no idea you were afflicted in a way that prevented you from building :( What a terrible fate for an AFOL. Let us know how that works, I hope it's a big improvement for you. Both in LEGO building and life as a whole... because there is more to do than build... or so I once thought.

That is magnificent. With the current Winter Village being $100 I'd imagine this would be anywhere from $50-75?

Go in and talk to the manager! Bring in a resume too - they have online applications but I've always thought that bringing something in and getting some actual face-time with the boss is the best way to apply for a job. Good luck!

Edit: Really tempted to sign back up for Amazon Prime 'cause the wait for the GS sets I ordered last week is KILLING ME (won't be here till Friday ughhh).

So it looks like the reindeer heads are the 1x1 bricks, I assume that the eyes are gonna be stickers then? Also they're really getting a lot of milage out of those "finger" parts they've introduced, using them as antlers looks great.

Guys...GUYS...Superman vs. Power Armor Sex. I'd read the praise on LegoGAF before, but I really wasn't expecting that much. Easily the most fun I've had building a set in a long time, with great playability, and it just looks damn sexy. I can't believe this thing was only $20, and you get Supes, Lex, and WW. Gatdamn.

Such a damn fine set.

Great display set. Emmett is currently in Lex's grasp as I thought it was silly that Wonder Woman would need saving! I can't believe it's the only set with classic supes in

Yep. It's like LEGO was given customers a gift. That sucker has dropped to as low as ~$14 too. If you have 2 of them, you can simulate robot sexy.

There is a reason why it's the only Super Hero set from 2012 1st wave release still around. That's 2+ years!!!

Release Date: 15 Dec 11

SPACESHIP

x 3 ??? Sadly, I'll only get one, but will grab more if ever reaches 25-30% off.

I really like all 3 of these late release movie sets but for now x3 is the only one I'll be getting.

The Dropship really speaks to me with its sci-fi look. Without the police stickers, it could easily fit in with a Space theme, or even Star Wars.

I'll get the Construction Mech eventually, but I'm far less interested in it.

Are those pics from a haul of yours ghostmind?

My LEGO store hasn't received any of the new stuff (either that or the employees aren't very knowledgeable over the phone, but I'm hoping that's not true), kinda a bummer. at least TRU was able to deliver some new items. :)

Yep. LEGO store had just got them in, along with new sets from several other themes.

And I couldn't resist the Mixels any longer - picked up all of the first series as well. Might try to put together a MOC for the contest before the end of Saturday.

actually looking at the USD price compared to AUD I'd be very interested if someone who had a lego store nearby could get x2 of them to ship to me in Australia. They could claim the VIP points :)

I've got a lego expo in early june and was doing a classic space themed display with some friends and I don't think we'd get it by then if we were to wait for shop@home to get it in

What is the Aussie price for Spaceship x3?

Still impressed with the minifigure lineup for the dropship. Of course it would be 100x better if it included GREEN LANTERN... oh well :)

Sure would have been a great opportunity to fit him into a set. Replace Batman with him. Everyone has 10 batmans already anyway.

Does anyone know what of all the new summer sets comes with the new neck piece that lets minifigures connect easily with technic pieces?

Kinda an odd question, but for mech building it really interests me.
