Hello all! I hope you are having a great festive season with family and friends. I am loving dipping in and out of this thread.
Just looking for some advice... I am thinking of getting in to the Lego Architecture sets, any recommendations on which ones are most satisfying builds and best value for money. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I have only built two so far: Empire State Building & White House.
The sets look fantastic when completed and I really like how they're boxed & presented. I would recommend both sets. Don't let the simplicity of the Empire State building fool you-it looks great.
People tend to be fond of Farnsworth, which is going to be my next purchase. I think it and the White House are actually on their way out soon. Might be an idea to start with those.

In related news, McDonalds will be offering LEGO Movie Happy Meals in Jan/Feb time-frame. Hope they include real LEGO with them.
Are those the minifigs in the happy meals? Where do you get those!?!
The retro LEGO shirt minifigs are must haves for me. I like the overalls too.

Finally went to lego store, got my much needed VIP card, fall+thanksgiving+Christmas seasonal polybags for parts, and a large pick a brick full of mostly greens n earthy stuff (packed with everyone's recvonended techniques, as well as the the surfer mini figure pack.
Really happy about my haul. I'll post pics later.

The only thing I don't like about PAB is that I came and they had a lot out I didn't want but also a lot of what I wanted as well. I wanted to grab another small cup and load up on water parts but they had almost nothing out good for water
Got my greens n browns mostly though

haha.Thanks, as you can see I ran out of parts when the A-Wing was released, so that's going to be a bigger problem when the inevitable B-Wing gets released (even more so because the advent calendar hasn't yet given a B-Wing miniature).
As for those McD sets, I can only hope they'll be released in Europe as well, and be actual LEGO, rather than cheap replacements. I already ate way too much junk food when we got those Mario-sets though, and I still didn't get all of them...

Kinda bumbed I didn't know the fierce flyer mini polybag was only $1 since they had a good amount but I can't complain since I got a haul I was very happy about

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. Are those giant palm leaves in a PAB cup? I pray the LEGO store near me has them next week when I make my trek. I would love to get some of those.

Yep one of the bins was the palm leaves. I made stacks of five and laid them on the sides. Everyone's input saved me so much space I now have too many olive cheese wedges. I even packed the top bump

Now they just need to give us those different colored leaves, like in the Rivendell set.
I know, but I'm looking for a regular sized B-Wing to go with the rest. I don't like having different sizes of sets, so it's either to scale, or all UCS, I went with the cheaper option (even if that leaves me lacking an expensive falcon).

My son got a couple Minecraft sets this morning, and I got a lot of of non-LEGO gifts (which is great, because the relatives know I take care of my own LEGO needs). Enjoying the massive (and heavy!) "Star Wars Frames" books.
Expect to see some sales tomorrow on S@H (and probably LEGO stores too).

I have the year 2000 regular sized b-wing but it kinda is not a great looking set. I am willing to sell it though. I got the UCS set so I could take it out of display. Would have to find all that parts for it. Once again tho, it's one of the first star wars sets they did so it's not very refined looking.
