Whoa! Dat mansion!

And the tour bus is as awesome as I expected. The extreme 80s vibe in the Friends stuff is like catnip to me. I might have to get a bunch of them this year.

Just a quick question out of curiosity. Do you guys stick to certain themes and buy the odd set outside of those themes or do you buy whatever interests you?

I buy whatever interests me and then some stuff that doesn't interest me but is like 75% off so I can't pass up buying it to use for parts.

Yup. I had no intention of getting most of those sets the other night, but at that price and with so many useful and rare parts, I couldn't resist.

I'm disappointed with the City Square. The descriptions made it seem better than what it actually looks like. This is more a vehicle focused set than a building focused one. It's probably also because I own the old Public Transport set too.

I'm starting to cool on it as well. It feels like a "jack of all trades, master of none" set from LEGO.

I would have been much happier with a new Garage (last one in 2009) or especially a Service Center (last one in 2007), than this mix.

And why waste piece count on another freaking helicopter? Does everyone in LEGO CITY own a helicopter now?

high quality of life. helicopters for everyone. Also, I wonder if we will ever see a LEGO gas station ever again. I feel that we won't. If we see anything, it will be alternative energy or something.

I share all of your concerns. I'd like to get a better look at the LEGO store component as this will probably be the deciding factor for me.

Edit: After looking a the Minecraft and undersea sets, LEGO is killing it with the background, "not included in the set" builds!

While I'm not a huge fan of the Bionicle skull villains, I see a lot of parts from the full range of sets I want. I can easily see how I'll like them more when I get them.

FFFFF THOSE MINECRAFT SETS!!

They've hit like almost every bullet point now:

Steve, Girl Steve, Creeper, Spider, Zombie, Skeleton, Snow Gollum, Wither, Ghast, Zombie Pigman, Enderman, Ender Dragon
-
Pig, Sheep, Cow, Mooshroom, Wolf/Dog
-
Crafting Block, Furnace, TNT, Sword in wood/steel/diamond (and I assume gold with the Zombie Pigman), Axe in wood/steel, Shovel in wood, Pick in wood/steel/diamond, Bow & Arrow in wood, Armor in steel/diamond, Jack'o'lantern
-
Forest, Cave, Mine, Desert, Snow, Dungeon, Nether (with Nether Portal!!), The End

Am I missing anything? So all they have left for a third wave would be:

Villager, Witch, Stone Gollum, Wither Skeleton
-
Horse (they GOTTA do a horse!!), Ocelot/Cat, Chicken
-
Swamp, Jungle Temple, Giant Mushroom

I could see them doing a third wave with a Swamp/Jungle Temple that came with a Watermellon block, a Witch, and an Ocelot. I don't think they'd ever do a Giant Mushroom biome set though, I'm sure they'd rather keep the Mooshrooms as an incentive to buy the Crafting Box. Can't see them doing another Nether set either to get the Wither Skeletons in there (as much as I'd love to have deep red/black skeletons) They could do a Desert Temple set with exploding secret treasure room and throw in the Horse and some armor for it, and a Villager or two though.

Aaahhhhhhhh between this and Scooby-Doo, 2015 is like my dream year of licensed themes and sets @__@

Edit: formatting so my idiot lists didn't take up a giant post

Totally getting the Jem vibe from those. Dang...I thought I was done with Friends sets. May have to pick up some of those.

That Ninja Go airship is something the Final Fantasy fan in me really wants.

Also the Construction Mixels look like something from a Mega Man game, and thus I also want them.

This:

looks like a re-working of the Bat from the Dark Knight Rises, it really seems to have a lot of similar elements.

It also looks suspiciously like an Atlantis vehicle. Same colors and everything.

Close-up shots of the Town Square:

Rumor going around that photography of licensed sets (except Minecraft) is not being allowed. We'll see if that holds true soon...

Ohhhhh snap, Town Square comes with a Husky. German Shepherds had their time in the sun, now Husky Dominance is expanding beyond the Arctic, taking over Legoland.

If they ever make a Golden Retriever it will complete the Best Dogs Trifecta and peace and harmony will be reached.

Bummed about the licensed set rumor, though didn't a picture of Freddy in the Mystery Machine already come out of this show?

I'm not really interested in anything so far. Except for the Mixels, of course, I love me some mixels.
The town square is a "maybe if big discount" kind of set to me, the tram looks good and I kinda want the Lego Store/truck stuff.
The "no pictures of licensed sets" rumor is a real shame if true.
When's Helicarrier ? :/

Thanks for all the pictures :)

Not sure how I feel about that garage and service station. Growing up on Lego in the 80's my wonky memory seems to recall buildings were all on baseplates that allowed them to be slotted into any town layout. Maybe I've just not worked out how they are doing things now ;) (I haven't bought enough city to quite adapt to this vehicle style or some of them being 6-wide).

Waiting on the train pics though I know I'm going to be a bit disappointed as it won't stand a chance of beating the magical 12v era :p

Not really interested in anything other than the blue and while jet (only just got round to washing the second hand sonic bomb set I get months ago) and the city square but solely for the Lego Shop. I'm not too fussed though as this year is going to expensive enough as it is.

Everyone is included and everything is awesome, except if you have a mental disability. Then you shall be judged on how you look. Weirdo.

What is the general opinion on the Arctic Base Camp set? I'm a little bit interested in it and it looks like my local Walmart has it in stock for $75.

Edit: Just kidding. I absolutely love that Arctic Outpost set. It has everything I like about the Arctic Base Camp set but without all the things I don't care for about the Arctic Base Camp set (basically all the little, insignificant builds that were thrown in for playability), and it's cheaper. Pretty sure I'm gonna grab that.

Is this an ongoing joke?

My Wife is off to New York on Sunday and I said I would take my boy to buy a decent sized lego set for us to build when she's away

He has his eyes on that one or the mine but really likes the look of base camp

Friends Grand Budapest Hotel

LMAO! Nice one! They should release it with a copy of the movie. Great movie by the way. Totally Wes Anderson. Some may not enjoy it if they're not familiar with his work.

Back on topic. I can't wait, um, I mean, my daughter can't wait for this to be released!

Looks like I'm about to become a constraction fan - Star Wars constraction figures coming out this fall:

"Among all new sets, there are six construction figures – 75107, 75108, 75109, 75110, 75111 and 75112. They look like the LEGO® Star Wars™ General Grievious (10186) figure from 2008. Same size, same laser sword, but no LEGO® Technic parts and similar to the LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes figures from 2012. Prices vary from 19,99 Euro to 34,99 Euro. By the way: Boba Fett will be one of the figures"

Sonnuva... they keep sucking me back into the Star Wars theme. They have to do a Storm Trooper one so they can sell multiples of those to one person. *shakes fist as LEGO*

excuse my ignorance but by contraction you mean the CCB system?

It's weird because I was thinking yesterday why Lego hasn't done a CCBS Star Wars yet and only could rationalize why not is due to rights owned by another toy company.

CCBS= The current constraction system. Stands for "creature and character building system".

Constraction = buildable action figures LEGO has made since Slizers/Throwbots, including Bionicle and Hero Factory

And yeah, I assumed Hasbro was stopping any attempts at LEGO Star Wars action figures. Guess I was wrong.

Awesome, good to know :) I feel way less ignorant now.

Coming from a parts perspective, I can already think of alot of colors and parts I'd want.

Something must have changed with the contracts, otherwise I would think LEGO would have done this years ago.

I was wondering what was going on with the price points of these sets, back when I posted the Star Wars 2H set info earlier this month:

75091 Classic Flash Speeder £34.99 ($34.99)
75092 Naboo Starfighter £54.99 ($59.99)
75093 Death Star Final Duel £69.99 ($79.99)
75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium £79.99 ($89.99)
75106 Imperial Assault Carrier £99.99 ($119.99)
...and another 13 sets coming later in the year...

75099 Episode VII £19.99 ($19.99)
75100 Episode VII £39.99 ($39.99)
75101 Episode VII £59.99 ($69.99)
75102 Episode VII £69.99 ($79.99)
75103 Episode VII £79.99 ($89.99)
75104 Episode VII £99.99 ($119.99)
75105 Episode VII £129.99 ($149.99)

1. What does "Star Wars 2H set" mean? That 2H specifically
2. Are sets 75107 and onward likely to be "normal" SW sets: Rebels, existing films/EU rather than SW7 sets?

Guesses about the sets, just because:
75099 Rey's speeder plus some extra
75101 or 75102 is the new X-Wing.
75105 Millenium Falcon

1. Second Half; Winter Wave >>>> Summer Wave
2. They're the new buildable figures that everybody's talking about and could be anything.

Ya, there's been some loosening up (Fantasy Flight Games getting Imperial Assault which has figurines looking just like Star Wars Command).

Safe to say that there is a Millennium Falcon, TIE Fighter, and X-wing in those episode VII sets?
