Actually, it is probably longer than 60 or so studs. Each wing looks to be about 16 studs wide, so just lay a few wings end on end and it gives a good idea. It is probably closer to 70-80 studs then.
Either way, it will be a beast of a set. Marvel getting their first UCS in style.
I'm thinking like these:
Sure, but... what? Where? The scale of the Quinjets makes them look too big to sit on the deck. Is there an interior control room?
Crap in a hat, double VIP points mid March. Ah can't decide, roll the dice and wait till then and order Helicarrier (hoping its available) and Tumbler for serious points or get Helicarrier in Feb.
edit: I have no idea where i'm going to build that thing nor put it.
Also seems to be based off the versions in CA: WS with the repulsor engines.
Is Slave 1 still hard to find in the shops? I'd like to think I'd be able to walk into a lego store and buy it before the Helicarrier hits.
I was afraid of that.Slave I is still listed as "Out of stock, will ship in 30 days" on S@H, and I know my local LEGO store has a waitlist of about 100 people.

That is crazy. Do you think it is driven by mad speculators? I mean, the set is fantastic, but to have a waitlist like that is nuts.
So how does it work then? Do you order it and then you're put in a wait list and when it's your turn they ship it out?I wasn't there on release day, but according to employees at the store the line for the Slave I was one of their longest ever, and they were sold out before the day was over.
They are advising anyone who asks about it to order it from S@H, as they will get it sooner there than waiting for it to show up on store shelves.

After seeing the awesome Helicarrier MOC, I can't help but be disappointed with the retail model. It doesn't feel like there's $350 worth of pieces in that thing. Maybe the designer video tomorrow might change my mind.

I have been curious to find posts by those that say that and see if they say the same thing in a Hot Toys thread. Here come the "why is LEGO so expensive these days" posters in the OT thread. I can feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.

Official ?
if true, already much better IMO.
OH GOD THE STICKERS
Edit: Look at 1:58 in the video, when Marcus removes a portion of the runway. I think those stickers just killed my interest.
Edit #2: Oh. It looks like only a portion of the runway is stickers. Overreacting is fun.
