I mentioned this before, but these are two quick and dirty pics I snapped of my Arkham Asylum MOD/Modular. It's based off a few different ideas I've seen. Interior isn't done yet. This is my pride and joy as it was the first big purchase I made coming out of my dark ages, and my first time pursuing lots of parts for a MOC off Bricklink. *tear
Hope everyone likes it. There is a very similar one on EB that was a big inspiration (can't remember the poster). I'd like to "blow" out the back wall and have an escape occurring, but that'll be later on. There's also a spire or two that's leaning, I just moved it around so that's why.
Fantastic job. It fits perfectly with the other modulars yet keeps its original and unique features. One glance and I knew it was Arkham Assylum.

That's fantastic. It fits both the modular asthetic and the arkham games. If there was ever a 'LEGO arkham asylum' game spinoff, this would perfectly fit in. Yove inspired me to do a modular with LDD now lol

Hmmm after the stellar Series 13 and 14, this doesn't really excite me all that much yet, which may or may not change after seeing actual pics though.
Couple potential gems in there though such as:

Farmer with pig (full blown pig or tiny pig though)

As much as I love the Monsters, I am happy this is a "normal" series. Can't wait to see images. Intrigued by Awkward Man, Dancer, Winged Warrior and Scary Knight. Those are fairly vague descriptions as I can picture the others quite well. (Though I fully expect to be surprised by a few.)

Disney minifig blind bags would sell like hot fire!
I've heard rumblings about Disney which I may or may not be cool with, depending on what the heads are like - I got given a bunch of Simpsons Series 2 minifigs and I couldn't get over the moulded heads.
If it is not Disney and is instead a Lego themed set, I would love a Space set going through all of the classic Lego Space themes and subthemes. I feel like I really missed out with those.
Edit: I've seen 'Awkward' also translated as 'Clumsy'. Would be cool if it was a heavily bandaged guy in the vein of Mr Bump. Maybe with CMF 14's Business Zombie broken glasses? Would look cool with the Nurse / Doctor figs.
I love how you can group different figs from different CMF lines.

Yeah, the "now with legs" vibe is weird. Wasn't their something funny about the legs in these sets? I think maybe they are kid-sized.
Hooray for Canadian TRU. This is the only Bricktober set I was after.

I'm with you. The Princess sets are already a successful delivery vehicle for their one-off characters.
I bet this line is a more traditional one.
Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Clarabelle, Donald, Pluto, Chip & Dale, Brer Rabbit & the Tar Baby, Jiminy Cricket....you know, the classics.
I would like a happy mix of classic and modern, animation and CG, Disney and Pixar, Mickey Mouse and Ratatouille!
Release a wave every year for the next 5-10 years. Gotta catch'em all!

I read through about half of the Great Lego Sets book and skimmed the rest. It's a really, really great guide to the history of Lego, represented with basically one set out of every line. It's not as much as "top 50" or so, but rather memorable sets from all ages. Every few pages there's also a themed collection of random sets, like castles, cars, trains etc, so it covers even more sets.
There's also a lot of inside information about all the featured sets, from designer comments to misc facts. You find out who made many of the most popular sets.
While the book covers all years, there's an emphasis on recent years, especially the legendary sets, so there's a few modulars, both UCS MF and (first) X-Wing, Taj Mahal, Imperial Flagship, MMV and others, but they still cover other nice recent sets like Olivia's house, the lion chi temple, the Spaceship^3 and the Elves hideout.
Every Lego fan should get this book! The mini Galaxy Explorer build certainly doesn't hurt either.

Captain cold isn't too expensive on Bricklink. Rumor of the short/kid legs will maintain the collectibility a bit for minifigs only found in pricier sets. Some won't be bad if they have kiddy legs since some originals have plain legs like Bane. Captain Cold's legs are plain, but they are in an unusual color.
Flash is pretty pricey in the aftermarket so these sets will be a very inexpensive way to get some nice minifigs.
I'm with you on the Classic Disney characters. They can hold off on the princes and princesses while they milk the IP in Disney Friends sets.
My guess is the cars will be tiny (especially at $10 for 2 minifigs and 2 cars) and not hold a sitting minifig. The short legs are used instead of connecting torso to standard studs so they body will stick better.
I couldn't find a good example and am not at home to build one. This is the general idea taken a step further.
EDIT:
Will these cars have any pull-back-spring action? Doesn't seem like it since descriptions make no mention of it.
I'm curious why descriptions mention light and transparent headlight so much.
Anyway, came across this old Cuusoo project. I really want to see the car designs on the Mighty Micros to see why short legs are needed.

Kendo guy is EXTREMELY exciting, as they wear the same basic clothes my martial art does, so I can just remove the armor and helmet off one to have an instant jodo guy. I'm going to buy tens of that one! Maybe even more and make custom figures for my training friends. Also wondering if he'll have an actual kendo sword or something made from a 4L bar and a round 1x1 with hole in it.
Astronaut could be another modernized space guy, or possibly even a classic space guy. Supremely exciting if so.
Awkward Man might be someone who is very clumsy and a bit beaten up, maybe with crutches and broken glasses like a de-zombiefied Zombie Businessman?
Tribal Woman, Winged Warrior (translated as Flying Warrior elsewhere) and Satyr sound great too.
I probably won't complete this series like the monsters, but I bet there will be plenty of great stuff either way.

We need some regular mini figs in karate gis. And then an accessory pack of belts to put on them, so you can have multiple rank guys and make a dojo.

This is about a year old, but I'd like that megaphone and director in the future. Also, classic silent movie actors like Charlie Chaplin.
The underwear with hearts and t-shirt guy would be a good one too.
