Anyone find the Red Creatures Lego Creator set yet?

I NEED IT ASAP.

The Lego online store says it will be available tomorrow, which is cool.

I've seen it in store for a week or so now. Looks like all of the "early release" City, CREATOR, and Technic sets will be available on S@H December 1st.

WhiteFang's review of CMF 13 is up!

There is also a bonus interview with the Creative Lead of the CMF Design Team.

Distribution is about what I expected (though I am glad to see so many carpenters):

EDIT: Galaxy Trooper is even better than expected!

I didn't realize that the Minecraft sets are all on-line only. Also, a lot of set on back order and sold out status. (Also the Santa Village is sold out, not surprise since it's have better theme and price than the Winter's Village).

Issue 1 of Blocks magazine had a nice handgun to build from the Exo Suit creator and ready to rock by said Exo Suit.

Here it with with some liberties taking on the colours;

I changed it a little to pay homage to Han Solo's DL-44 heavy blaster pistol:

Then a little more evolution as I changed it into a gun my own mech can use and he's a bit taller so it needs to be longer:

Went for a long barrel but changed my mind:

Added a longer scope:

Then a shoulder butt:

I think I am done for now, just need to change colours according to the actual available colours for these parts then off to Brick Link I go.

EDIT: Galaxy Trooper is even better than expected!

Nice to see that the Trooper will be very easy to find. :] As a Galaxy Squad fan, it's a must buy along with an alien + goblin for sure. Evil wizard (he remind me of Zoltan Kulle from Diablo III) and the king will also join my collection. Hot dog, samurai and unicorn should eventually complete my series 13 haul (although I like the fencer and the paleontolgist hmm).

Now that I've seen them in details, this is a very nice collection of minifigs. I actually think I already like it more than series 12.

EDIT: Galaxy Trooper is even better than expected!

I wish I could buy a whole box at a discount. There have only been a few series that I wanted an entire box. I did that once from Amazon France.

Distribution is sooooo much better now that they allow odd numbers again. I think they did a good job, although I'd think they could have gone with 1 less Snake Charmer and one more Unicorn Girl. I think that cost played a factor in why so few Unicorn Girls. Or maybe they felt boys wouldn't want those as much? Those mascot minifigs are always so popular.

Mascot Character Costumes by WhiteFang (Eurobricks), on Flickr

Seeing all the mascots together, I find the open face ones are the best because they can be used with almost any minifig and show the facial expressions. I hope they continue with more open faced mascots. The lizard one is great even with just the eyes showing.

"9) How is the LEGO Collectable Minifigures distribution being determined?
If you mean, how do we choose which ones are 3, 4 or 5 to a box, it’s a little complicated. We try to guess which figures will be popular with kids, so we can put more of those in the box to satisfy as many children as possible. Another factor is cost, as the production price varies from figure to figure depending on decoration or elements."

Cost explains the excessive parachute guy and other strange distribution choices.

Free minifigure gift set with purchase of select Super-Hero, City, Chima, or Ninjago sets. It also looks like it can be purchased for $15 on its own.

Why do you need this?

These are the other figures included in this promo set - all are exclusive prints.

It's the modern incarnation of Superboy.

OH MY!!! Green Ninja with Dragon print. Of all the Ninjago variations, I liked the Dragon ninja outfits the most! Not sure about the general public, but I WANT that dragon outfit.

I don't care for the other two, but they are nice prints.

I bought it for Superboy (of course) and the Green Ninja. I've got all of the other dragon-print Ninjas, so this is a must-have!

I picked the Ninjago MechDragon in order to get the minifig set for free.

THanks Ghostmind!!! I bought 2 online. I'm sure resellers will be all over those.

LIMIT of 2 online. I checked locate in local stores and there were only 2 stores that listed it as available within 25 miles of me.

Thanks for the heads-up !
I need that Superboy. Time to hit BL I guess. Maybe I can find a seller with both him and rocket to save a bit on shipping...

FOUR exclusive print minifigs! Easy $15 buy for me... wish I had $50 of city/chima/ninjago/SH i wanted... I honestly own just about everything I want at this point outside of some UCS stuff until the 2015 waves hit.

Make sure to use your RED card, Target shoppers

Series 13 reviews already... wow. I know he usually gets them early but it feels like it's been only two months? I'd have to go back and check, i guess time is just going by fast for me these days

You are not imagining things. There was a 5 month gap between Simpsons in May and Series 12 in Oct. It was typically 4 months for 3 releases a year. I'm hoping they are back to the 4 month cycle.

What else have you seen, ive seen a lot of those were going to be discontinued from other sites so.

I know for sure that AT-TE and the seasonal sets are retired now

5 Galaxy Troopers per box... excellent, I want at least that many.

I hope I can get a Hotdog guy. Since there's only 3 per box and he'll be super easy to feel for, he might be hard to find. Hopefully RiteAid comes through again because S12 didn't show up in my local Targets/Walmarts until early November, and when I saw them they had already been cleaned out. >:[

I'm wondering if you put in an order over $75, with a Star Wars set and a Friends set, if you can get all 3 promos to pop at once. S@H is usually pretty good about this.

I would assume you can. I will most likely get slave 1 on one trip and Detective agency on another and hell, if the CMF figures come out I'll get those on a 3rd trip and god knows if anything else I want that's going to be an exclusive is scheduled for January then that on a 4th. So I'll end up with at least 3 flower carts. Most likely though, that is the first month my new company will be officially running I will be careful about spending too much. Already have a bunch of work scheduled but what I have already listed is a lot. Actually, now that I think about it I may get Ewok Village in January instead if its around and not out of stock, just because it's older. Unlike modular's (currently up to date on), I am behind on other exclusives, I need to pick up a bunch of non exclusives, Sidney Opera House, and Sandcrawler before I think about new exclusives coming out next year. The only day 1 exclusive for me will be Detective Office.

That's my assumption... hasn't it already been working that way? We've had some months with more than one promo before and I never had a problem getting all the promos with the right order.

Slave I... ohhhhh yes.

But what if it releases in December? I'll have to buy it and come up with another order for January... I guess that won't be so hard, looking at the slate.

I'm probably going to be out of buying any Lego (except for maybe a couple of the new superhero sets) till March. I need to start saving up now for a certain something rumored for March.

I hear that... The pace of LEGO's big set releases feels punishing these days. Have to carefully select them based on priority. While I ultimately decided to skip the Tumbler, I feel pretty certain that the Helicarier will stay on my buy list.

Just starting floor 7 of my custom Orthanc...... :D looking like there will actually be like 9-10 floors based on how much more I need to cut inward till I get to the right diameter for my already designed final observational floor right below the pinnacles. I sort of stopped working on ultra interior detail for now and am just making sure I have interior wall layout and lighting down at minimum but not much more than that. IF I have to make any drastic changes, I do not want to have put a ton of interior work into it before then.

EDIT:

Btw does anyone have sites other than Toysnbricks to watch for Cyber Monday sales, etc.

Was that "may not be combined with any other offer" language in previous promotions?

No it wasn't, but I am curious to see if S@H's ordering design can handle that, or if this language is just to back up what some of the brick-and-mortar stores have already been doing.

Well there's the Target exclusive 4-figure box I was told about, so now every set the guy in licensing told me has been revealed except the one. It must have been delayed because of the new movie announcements, everything else has been almost exactly as he said.

Interesting that I was told the DC Super Hero was a character never done before, something along the lines of a "young Batman" when it's actually Superboy. Whoops!

January calendar - lots of promos!

Those are great promos and easy to "abuse" with small purchases. They clearly do not stack in store if you read the fine print. This is probably because of the calendar coupons from the Nov-Dec calendar freebie with $75 purchase.

I usually don't do S@H, but seeing that they stacked with the Jor-el and Shredder polybags seems like they would allow some stacking.

All the january promos are crazy when they stack... plus I'm glad I got my calendar so I can pick up my freebies from that as well.

Read the fine print on the Jan promos. They can't be combined with other offers.

I have RSS feed on several LEGO blogs that often overlap on deals. They each have their moments of releasing the information first.

In no special order:

It could be a young Bruce Wayne wearing a black Superman shirt.

I'm not going to overreact (yet) on "can't be combined with other offers." wording.

I mean what happens if you spend $75 on a SW set?-- do you have to CHOOSE rather you want the Flower Cart or the AT-DP? LEGO would have to build this feature into shop.lego.com and we all know how crappy their web team is, so that's clearly not going to happen. :p

I think it's just some legalese to prevent people from abusing it in some way... I just don't know exactly what abuse that may be.

Maybe it has something to do with the 2015 calendar offers? They don't want people getting the "free with any purchase" sets on the free redemptions?

Oh man I need that superboy in my life. Distinct lack of love with the superhero stuff in the UK lately, no Rocket Racoon polybag, no Superboy :(

Even if S@H somehow gets it's act together, and enforces the "cannot be combined" rule, there is a quick path to getting two of the three. This is especially applicable if you want to pick them up at a LEGO store.

Order 1 - Detective's Office for the Flower Cart.
Order 2 - Slave I for the AT-DP.

And I would pick up this if you want the Friends promo:

Egx9Wuz.jpg

Those little bunnies are the closest we are going to get to minifigure-scale at this time. Either pick it up in store or combine it with another set (of your theme of choice) to get to the free shipping threshold.

Just saw the Lego movie on hbo over the holiday. I rewatched it 3 times so far. Amazing movie and all I want to do is build one of these advanced sets. Do they still do the robotic ones you can control?

S@H and LEGO brick & mortar store usually have their own set of rules. S@H can track customers easier too if their is some "reseller" behavior or shenanigans going on. If you are doing local LEGO stores, bringing some other people along or going in at different times works. Sometimes the brick specialist will be nice and give you both.

Is it for Scooby Doo?

Ooooh! Good call on Scooby Doo. I bet that it is. I hope that green stem is stud sized.

I'd like to see a witch doctor (plus my guess of a yeti in brown for big foot).

EDIT: It could also be for a future CMF series, but it is extremely appropriate for Scooby Doo.
