By the way, is Chima gonna be discontinued?
Ghostmind had mentioned it.

Damn. All I saw on clearance at my Target were some Mixels and random SW sets at the insane 15% discount.
This is its last year iirc?
Guys, I finally got Future Flyers, but I can't decide which to build. Obviously the mech, but dat car...
maybe
I
should
buy
another
one

Guys, I was sure Mixels series 4 had been released but it seems they haven't. When will they be available ? :/
That's too bad, the show just started making a little bit of sense with the fire vs ice stuff. Befor that though this is how my 3 year old son described the show.
"They're friends but then they're not and I don't know why."
He loves the minifigs.
Let's hope they are focusing on relaunching Space
February is what I have heard for Mixels S4.
i saw that elves video on facebook earlier, people are ripping on it HARD.
Is it just promotion or is there a series coming?
Let's hope they are focusing on relaunching Space
I also hope they have more Space in the works.
LEGO is all about imagination but not many themes can capture it the way this can.
I wish they would do an overarching SPACE theme that would have multiple sets from multiple areas/factions and would be a permanent theme, like the way the CITY theme has Police, Fire, Recreational, etc. all fall under its umbrella and is always around.
For a SPACE theme, I'd want:
Explorers: a re-imagining of the Classic Space stuff. Not a complete copy of colors/style but inspired by it, focusing solely on exploration -- so no heavy weaponry anywhere. Very "industrial" and lo-tech, conventional wheeled/prop/jet tech, no hover/anti-grav anything.
Space Miners: like the Explorers but focusing on mining, using the color scheme of the recent Space Miner CMF. Same tech level as the Exp, too.
Space Police: black/white/trans red color scheme. Standard space police stuff, more advanced than EX/SM, some hover tech and slightly sleeker in design.
Space Military: colors of the old Galaxy Patrol CMF. Heavy weaponry and combat based, like Galaxy Squad. More advanced than the space police, with a few hover/anti-grav vehicles. Conventional ballistics/rail weaponry with a few energy weapons.
Blacktron: Very Tron: Legacy-like designs with practically no studs visible, super sleek. Black/dark gray/trans neon green colors. Most advanced tech, no wheels/props/jets only hover and anti-grav tech. All energy weapons.
And if they wanted to do Ice Planet, M-Tron, and Aquazone type stuff, they could just make them off-shoots of the Explorers with specialized gear/vehicles instead of creating a whole new line with different colors and stuff.
That would never happen though because I suspect all the Star Wars stuff keeps any long-running/permanent original space stuff off the table.
What's the best 2015 set for 20 dollars or under?
Its an Ultimate Collectors Series, of a toy that is already relatively expensive. How comes the slave 1 is so expensive? I was so excited when I saw it, but seriously, 200 bucks?

That sure is... Something.
I haven't heard anything about a series, but based on that YouTube/Facebook video I'm thinking that we will get a short feature, either Internet-only and/or direct-to-video.
And yeah, the general consensus so far is very negative.
So i just got Creative Ambush in the Lego Store today on clearance... cos it was on clearance.
I remember some talk about it on here a while back, what was all the fuzz about again? It looks decent i think but not sure i get the (semi) hype just yet?
So my Slave 1 tracking is still on 'Label Created" which happened Friday morning. Is that weird?
Manuals for all the space sets I got while growing up. I feel like I'm missing some, but could just be thinking of sets I wished I had.
Manuals for the non-space stuff. Not sure why the Blacksmith manual is photocopied, but I don't seem to have the original anymore. I'm also pretty sure I remember selling the actual Fabuland sets at a rummage sale when I was young. No idea why I would have kept the manuals. Guess I'll find out for sure when I bring them home.
Boxes and box clippings. The ones in the first 3 rows are complete boxes, everything below that are clippings. I always loved how they showcased alternate builds for the sets and my Dad started cutting out the pictures for me before tossing the boxes.
Finally, Idea books and a pile of catalogs. I must have saved the majority of product catalogs that came with my sets. I remember studying them constantly.
Hi Lego GAF, I've been lurking in these threads for months and thought I should finally write an introductory post.

I know I waffle so much but due to circumstances I may be moving. i don't have room to start modular collections and I was looking at my to buy list still for Super Heroes and it would be dumb for me to add anything else to it.
I'm thinking of making the Tumbler my next major purchase to be safe. Have any of you that purchased really enjoy it? I have a feeling if I wait on it that I risk it going oop and I have a feeling Joker Funland is going to be a big set that may be an instant buy once it gets announced.
speaking of which when should we expect the Helicarrier announcement? If it's Feb. VIP early access that should put it by the end of this month right?
Welcome and leave your wallet at the door!
The Tumbler is an awesome build and a fantastic display piece. The only issue with it is that while the main frame of it is sturdy and built like a tank, the outer shell is fragile as hell. Touch it the wrong way and something will come off of it.

I'm no different than a lot of others. Loved Lego in my youth, left it behind, then rediscovered it thanks to the Lego movie. My 3.5 year old daughter helped it a lot too since she loves her Duplo blocks, the Lego movie and Lego Star Wars. My passion was always for the classic Space theme. Had a lot of space sets, with a few Castle, City and Pirates, plus lots of random hand me down bricks from relatives. Thankfully, my parents saved them all and I'll be bringing them home once I have some dedicated Lego building, storage & display space.
I dove back into Lego with the Haunted House set, thanks in part to the positive reviews it got here. Worth every penny, it was so much fun to put together and will be a recurring Halloween decoration every year. I've bought my daughter a few Lego Juniors sets, but she's still a little too young for them. Though she does enjoy playing with them after I build it. My classic Space love forced me to grab the entire Galaxy Squad line when Toys R Us had it 50% off for Black Friday and again around Christmas. Way more than I should have spent, but I had to have them. Haven't put them together yet since I won't have space until we finish revamping the basement rec room. My wife gave me a Lego store gift card for Christmas, so I think I'll be picking up Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP! which I've wanted badly since seeing the movie.
So thanks to everyone for their posts and general Lego hype. It's been incredibly entertaining and gotten me very excited for a rekindled hobby.
While I haven't brought my old bricks home yet, I did grab the box full of instruction manuals, catalogs and stuff. Thought I'd share some pics:
LEGO S@H is all out of the polybags from this month. According to FBTB the Star Wars one sold out by Jan 2!!

Has this ever happened before?
