Was at target today and thought I'd stop by the Lego aisle to see what they had... It was nearly barren. There were a few city sets and a spattering of older star wars (clone wars) sets... The rest was empty shelving haha.

I've convinced myself that saving up and banking some credit card points toward Amazon credit will be able to lessen the blow that Firehouse HQ is going to deal. After seeing it in person, I need it. I'll prolly try and grab it before the Fall. Between that and the classic Batcave, my "big" purchases are planned for this year. I know they'll be at least one more (prolly a Creator Expert summer set) that will catch my eye, but I REALLY hope Lego doesn't have a lot of stuff that grabs me.

Gonna be a bad (good) year.

It seems the Red Five is still avaible in some U.S. stores (tough to come by in Canada). It will probably be 10 years before we get another OT UCS X-Wing. If only TLG would release another UCS Imperial Shuttle. That set is beautiful.

If you plan on playing the game the Wicked Witch is the only fig you need. She is seriously game breaking. I might actually suggest not using her because I just finished the game today and i'm getting that "don't want to go back to it again" feeling.

As far as must buy figs for collecting the Cyberman and Doc Brown fun packs were marked down last I check. The Cyberman is an exclusive fig so far not available anywhere else. The Doc Brown in that fun pack supposedly has a new hair mold. Also the train mini kit looks neat. Unikitty was on sale too, everyone should buy as many unikitty's as they can.

I have OCD and need to sort my LEGO, but thankfully I'm very lazy too so it counteracts my OCD. Also, I find sorting relaxing while I have a TV show in the background.

Scooby looks like he's leaving a "Scooby snack" behind. Thanks for reminding me. I need to grab that Lighthouse and the Mystery Mansion. Only two I have left to get. Lighthouse is 2nd priority since I don't want to miss out on Velma.

Can anyone make out Black Panther's head? His ears look almost like a ring head piece much like Darth Maul's. Will wait for better photo before I whine about it. It may look better than a "helmet" for the panther ears.

You need to start selling those doubles at the very least. Collecting unopened polybags is dangerous IMO.

As an ex-comic book collector, I'm all too familiar with the buy one for me and one or more to sell later. Now I only buy dups of polybags that I think will appreciate in value significantly in aftermarket to sell. Or if they have minifigs that I want dups.

In my experience so far, not too many polybags rise significantly in value except for the exclusive giveaways with unique minifigs (Hulk, Winter Soldier) or elements (VW Van). At least an increase that would make it worth my time and the space it takes to store them. 20% gain may be good, but on a $5 polybag it's a lot of work just to make less than $1.

Oh my goodness. I was already 100% definitely gonna get that, but seeing your pics, I just noticed it has those super sexy wing things on the back too. And it just looks even better in general in actual pictures. So excited for that now.

Is the King's Mech a store exclusive? I feel like I remember reading somewhere that it was.

I just got Wiz of Oz delivered today and have 2 pre-orders. Waiting on good deals to get Portal and Doctor Who level packs.

I want to get the game, but I only have XBox 360 and Wii. I was thinking of waiting to get XBox One, but game can't be much better graphically on XBox One. No rush on my part.

I don't have any Ninjago. Just bought them cuz they look cool to me and want the minifigs. The minibuilds look fun too. Probably not going to get the game any time soon but won't rule out anything.

I waited until we got a PS4, and now i gotta say...the game looks marvelous on it! I am sure it is playable as well and looks decent enough on last gen consoles though. We only played the first 2 story levels and i fooled around a little in the DC hub world but i could already tell there's lots to do and it's been great fun already (more so if you are actually a fan of Lego games of course)

After seeing The Force Awakens, I'm surprised that there isn't a UCS falcon coming in 2016. It gets a huge amount of screen time and aside from the new imoerial shuttle there aren't many interesting ships in the movie (IMO).

UCS snow speeder will be interesting but I really want a falcon. Maybe Lego are thinking to get less desirable sets out while he movie is still fresh in the mind (snow speeder is lovely but clearly not on the same level as the MF), then do a UCS falcon late 2016 or 2017 because the ship itself is so iconic it'd sell itself without having a movie surrounding it?



Edit: looking at kings Mech, I wish Lego would team up with Bandai and do some proper fundamental licensed sets.

Took me awhile to build it but so far the Mystery Mansion is worth the price of admission, it is screaming to stand next to the Vampire's Castle as a companion piece.

I thought about multiple Cyberman packs. $8 for a Cyberman and Dalek isn't too bad especially if LEGO never does any future Doctor Who sets. You know those LEGO Cybermen will be > $10 each if that happens. I'm gambling that we see future Doctor Who sets and the ability to army build. Hmmm...I will rethink buying at least 2 more Cybermen. Not to pricey just in case. Would suck to only have 1 Cyberman. Also, knowing LEGO, they would do a different print (which is OK as long as they are "generic" Cybermen).

This has been around for awhile. I didn't want to abuse the service, but it seems to me that LEGO is aware people are using it to just "buy" parts. Seeing that they have licensed items and lots of items I want from Town Square at very good prices I may finally try out the service.

First I heard of the service was around the Bat-Pod hype and people were using the service to buy some of the necessary parts.

I want to build my first moc and it has to do with Force Awakens of course. Specificaly i want to buikd the resistance base.

Now i recently (yes I am a noob) found out about bricklink. And it is awesome, although there is sooo much information in there that I really feel like i am in the ocean searching for the best piece of wood to keep me afloat. Lol

I need help and guidance regarding which stores to choose. I am from europe , so i want european Lego fans to propose to me some good bricklink stores that meet the below creteria:

A) Good reputation (used parts in good condition, professional work)
B) Lots of parts
C) Reasonably good and competitive price
D) Shipping service and costs to be competitve as well

I know its a lot to ask but I really would appreciate the help!

It's not new, and I find that most new pieces (like the Friends sloped windows or curly pillar tops) are always sold out immediately (scalpers, hoy!). Same with licensed or uncommon parts. It's a good way to get older but not sought-after parts though.

As for Battle on Takodana, it's $80 around here. Oh Lego, you so crazy.

I don't keep to a single seller, there's always something that I need to shop around for. Generally, if they have lots of items from your wanted list and a 98%+ rating, you're good to go.

Some people I tend to return to:

1001bricks (France) - these two have lots of parts so they tend to float up high on the searches, but individual prices are often crazy high.

Curse you guys! I've tried just sticking with SW sets since I started last month and now you've got me sucked into Nexo's. Whoever said 6-10yr old me would love these sets was right. Thank God for my 5 month old. Building his backlog now...

Thanks for the linkage!! Wanted the Tokadana set but not at the inflated price. This makes it easier!

TRU had the Fortrex but I was strong and didn't buy it. If I like the three Nexo sets I bought I'll probably buy it Thursday. I did grab the Infernox set though to go with the King's Mech.

Good choice. I think this one is next for me to build out of my backlog. If you find you enjoy putting that one together and like the expert vehicles, I'd highly recommend getting the VW camper van while it's still available. I think a lot of others here will agree, too.

It's out of nowhere with no tie in and makes him look like hes wearing a tank top for the first time with a really bad tan line.

Okay, I'm officially sold on Jestro's Evil Mobile. For that price (and more importantly, that piece/price ratio), I can't resist.
Also, I want as many of those hover-horse things as humanly possible. Those are brilliant.
