Thank you guys, there is a caveat however, this won't be only his, I told him that if we both compromise and combine our Christmas presents maybe Santa will bring the MF for us both, so I want this to be special I want him value how lucky we are that Santa* gave us this present.
I want this to be a family experience where we both (even my 5 years old too) get to slowly build this together as a project.

BTW that was my pitch to my wife so I could get approval HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO

My card was charged full amount, and doesn't show that I used all $120 in VIP points. Wtf.
Maybe receipt will show different. Also doesn't show tax for some reason.

Shot off an email to customer service about it not using my VIP points in the order. I can afford to have the full amount on my card, but just barely. I wasn't saving over $100 in VIP points for nothing.

But, if they charge me the full amount and don't use the VIP points, after the Falcon I guess that gives me a free modular in January, when I will be broke. So not that bad a deal if it doesn't work as originally planned.

Man, I wished I could easily spend 850 euro's and have the place to display this beast. It's not that I couldn't spare the money if I dug into my savings account. But I want to keep my marriage afloat :p

Started the OFS today though. Just the first bag. This is going to be amazing, I can feel it.

Well, I got in on the backorder shipment. The good thing about getting an order in this late is it looks like they fixed the $40 shipping error. So, I was not charged for shipping.

To be fair they're going back and removing shipping charges from the orders that had them. They know they fucked up.

That winter set is cool. One year I put all of the winter sets together, but I don't have room to keep them displayed so I also had to take them all apart. That part sucked.

Priorities!

Will pick up the station with my collected Vip Points after I buy Ninjago City. If I wait for double VIP I should have close to enough to pay it completely.

Was down at Disney World, and went to the Lego Store in Disney Springs and saw a piece in the pick a brick wall I don't recall ever seeing.

I took them apart exactly once. Never again. Come late October the Cottage, Post Office, Bakery, Toy Shop, Train & this new train station will return to my living room.

Brickset says it's been done in 3 sets and was first made in 2012, so it's not very common

Got an e-mail confirmation for my MF, they used my previous shipping address now outdated, even when putting my new updated address when checking out (I have a screen grab to prove it).

How the f*** does this happen?

It's sad that I had so many VIP points but it just amounts to knocking the tax off the price. I really wish VIP points didn't expire. I would have had so many points saved for this.

I still can't figure out if I have a back ordered one or not.

Not that it even matters.

Mine will sit in my closet and be a great bday present for my kid in 5 years I imagine.

Well, Lego F'd me big time. I had the damn thing in my cart since 7:15 this morning and it would never take my payment. Now its not available. EPIC failure.

my order now says "waiting for new stock" next to my falcon, didn't say that earlier. I placed my order well before the orange button turned to "Backordered"

Oh well, I tried my best to get it as fast as I could. Fighting against those website issues was no joke. Hopefully it's only a week or two additional wait.

Good news is I was able to use all my VIP points, got the free shipping and all the promos showing on the order so I don't have to hope they fix that manually, it's already all in place.

Not having followed release windows in the past, shouldn't they be able to ship in the next couple of weeks? Like they wouldn't leave VIPs on backorder while they make it available to the public would they?

I have every bit of faith that they will fulfill VIP orders before they open non VIP orders. But the timing on when the new stock rolls in is in question. Should be under a month, but who knows.

All VIP orders wil be fulfilled before that thing goes back to stock. October 1st ain't happening

From the Lego Website:

Will be interesting to see if they literally have none in stock for the non VIP launch on the 1st. I mean, not like getting VIP is actually hard lol.
