Leonard Nimoy has died :(

RIP :(

As much as I was initially annoyed by it, now I'm sort of glad we got to see Nimoy as Spock one last time in the Abrams Star Trek movies. Definitely one of the most iconic characters in all of science fiction.

He was one of the first celebrities I remember from my childhood. My parent's friends were Trekkies, somewhat, so they had posters in their house as well as a ton of the model ships that the husband built. Bumpy always stuck out to me as a little kid.

Lived to a damn good age and became a television icon. Trek, Fringe, M:I... the list goes on. Can't ask for much more than that.

Rest in peace, sir.
 
I've never come to tears over a Celeb death before... :(

Star Trek defined my childhood... heck, even most of my adult years.

Welp, my day is officially ruined.

Condolences to his friends and family. He helped shape a culture, and his legacy will be a lasting one.

Hi all, as you all know, my Grandpa passed away this morning at 8:40 from end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was an extraordinary man, husband, grandfather, brother, actor, author-the list goes on- and friend. Thank you for the warm condolences. May you all LLAP. - Dani

It's hard to imagine life without Leonard Nimoy.

Mr. Spock was always a character I remember from early childhood. Its like he always existed and would continue to exist.

As though he was some kind of friendly God, who I could I always relate to on tv.

And of course I loved Leonard on In Search of, and his Laser Disc commercial is just fantastic.

Just makes me realize how old I am getting and how precious life really is.
 
RIP Mr.Spock but also Galvatron from Transformers The Movie 1986 and as Sentinel from Transformers Dark of the Moon.

And also do not forget he did some stellar acting in Fringe if you have watched the show was a huge surprise when he came on screen there. LLaP Mr Nimoy.
 
Listening to Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast, this week's guest Ken Berry happened to have a mention of him back in their army days.
