I'm glad I decided to venture into this thread; I didn't realize I was coming in for this.
What I really came here for, though, was to see if anyone thinks the next Dying Light will have VR support?

I wish people would stop low balling the graphics, I saw one person one person compare Driveclub to GT3 an early PS2 game? I mean at least be realistic.

I'm just curious why the updated Playstation Camera has been delayed. I'm now contemplating just getting the original camera, but if the new camera has an expanded viewing range then I'd really like to have it.

Also, I didn't know there where differences between the old and the new camera, do we have a recap of the new features?

The only difference is its easier to adjust.
the thing putting me off PSVR (and its silly but whatever) is that the Vive is in the spare room, so I can flail around like a crazy person and nobody will (usually) notice. The PS4 is in the living room, so not only will everyone notice, it'll restrict available time.

The Santa Monica page about it makes it seems like you can play without the headset and when I asked the devs about it they said they could not answer that question at this point. Maybe they will release a non VR version in the future

Bad advice. There will be more PSVRs in the future, most likely with features that render the first generation obsolete. PS4P is mostly future proof; it'll be able to play cross-gen games at high settings at the very least.

Is there a narrative or a real story to this game? Or is it more like Outlast where you're just trying to escape while getting hit with jump scares?
Yeah it was my understanding that there are no functional differences between the two versions, one just has a different stand.
But yeah I got hit with the Amazon delay and I am just picking up the original version elsewhere. I actually just saw one locally on the way home yesterday.

Between that and the demo disk the only full game I have preordered is the VR Worlds since it is in the bundle. So excited. 2 weeks and a day!

Straight forward maybe, easy/quick depends on how many challanges there are and how difficult they are. I have a feeling this will actually be really hard because of 1 or 2 challenges. We will see, glad it has a plat and some spread out trophies.

They are both on the demo disk. I'd say try them both and then either grab the game you like locally or grab it digitally.
The only games I've preordered so far have been the cheaper 20 dolllar experience type games. I'm waiting for the demo before I grab any full retail price stuff.
It is really high on my list just on the premise alone, but I really have no idea of what the game actually is from the media released so far, unless I've missed something.
Whereas the things higher up on my list like Battlezone and Rigs, I have a pretty good understanding of.

Right. That's it. I'm committed. I got the wobbles on my original march pre-order the closer the release date came, but decided to keep it and bought 2 move controllers for £30 and pre-ordered the V2 camera from Amazon.
A bit worried about reports of a delay on the camera on Amazon, but I'm sure I would have received an email about it by now, wouldn't I? The account still says dispatch on 12th and arrival on 14th October. I'd be gutted in I get the headset ages before the camera and expect enough notice to be able to buy it from somewhere else in time for release day.

Yeah Battlezone seems to be a no-brainer.

What are you talking about? The PS4 pro is not even close to future proof. Without a 4K tv we don't even know if there will be any difference at all.
There will be a next PlayStation in a few years, just like there will be a next PSVR(if the tech can take off).

Has anyone pre ordered from walmart on their website? I pre ordered from there back in March and had a placeholder date for release for Oct 31 and my order never updated to reflect that. They said on their website it is release day delivery.

What the hell is up with Amazon Germany? Ordered a PSVR the minute it was available and still no shipping date.
I was ready to, but then I watched the Giant Bomb Quick Look with the devs a couple of months ago and I haven't been excited for it since. I expected it to be a golf game (a goofy one, but a golf game at the core) but the ball physics were totally off and the devs all said they didn't understand golf very well. I wanted Hot Shots with a twist but it... wasn't. Has it gotten any better-looking recently?

If you're looking for accurate ball physics and proper golf gameplay, 100ft Robot Golf is perhaps not what you're looking for. I think it looks like a goofy fun time though.
I hope Hot Shots on PS4 has VR support, that would be cool.
