Short game. It's priced at 20 right now. It's an on rails shooter with some jump scares thrown in. I'm guessing the replayabilty will come from some type of leadberboards.
Oh, okay. Thanks.I believe it also has multiple routes.

You are being... sarcastic there? XDBut not [...] this simplistic gameplay.
When I pre ordered I was really excited for the tech but as release gets closer I'm just not that excited by any of the launch games
RIGS looks like one of the only game that's fully fleshed out (which is probably reflected in its price) and I'm interested in seeing how well the tech has been implemented.
Other than RIGS the only games I'm really interested in so far are Driveclub (which I own already on PS4 and wasn't a huge fan of) and REZ (which I've played many times before).
I expect the "New on PlayStation store this week" for the 11th of October to be quite extensive. But don't expect many more preorders. They basically don't make any sense at all for smaller download titles anyway.
There just isn't a lot to talk about. Last trailer was a month ago and 30 seconds long.
PSVR Corgis and Gendo references are fine and all but I have hardly seen the game.
Only 10 VR games on the EU store at the moment. I expected to see more up by now.

Are headphones required? Also are the golds ok

Cross posting from the DC OT... Not direct feed vid tho
Damn, Best Buy is allowing people to pick up PSVR on the 12th at 9pm. Wish I wasn't having it sent to me now...
Yes, stereo headphones are required since this will give you 3D audio. And no it's not some kind of 5.1/7.1 sound, it's achieved with regular stereo headphones emulating binaural audio. That's why you will have to plug in your headphones into the headset since you will not get that sound signal through wireless as the breakout box processes the audio.
I have those tooPretty much required. I think you'd be able to use the sound from your TV/amp for games that have a mirrored social screen, but you wouldn't get the benefit of 3d (binaural) sound: it's the separate processing unit which takes the individual sounds from each in-game object and creates positional audio from them, this is then fed to the headset and output from a standard 3.5mm jack on the inline volume/power control box.
You could use any set of headphones that have a 3.5mm connector; you wouldn't be using a USB dongle or Bluetooth.
I have those too
But I can use the Gold headset with 3.5mm connecter too
All this talk about headphones--doesn't the helmet automatically include standard ones inside the helmet? I thought I read that from a Sony employee.
Just cancelled my pre-order from Amazon, so will free one up for someone. My reasoning is not having the chance to try it and none of the games are screaming at me as must have titles. My fear is a some of these games are little more than tech demos, and they are charging bloated prices since they are in the launch window. Im still hearing mixed reactions as well and while mostly good they are along the lines of not worth $400 yet. Ill go in wait and see mode, and if it appears to take off and we get some good titles will take the plunge then.

I wish there were a way to ntransfer preorders. I missed the time when it started because I was switching jobs and didon't have three cash. I do now and worried that it will be a long time before I can find one.
I'm starting to wonder if there is anybody with a pre-order left.Seriously considering calling the OT
Playstation VR Launch Thread: No Pre-Order Cancelled
Seems very fitting for most of NeoGaf.
Saw this on CAG's twitter feed:

Have work Thursday anyways so hopefully shipments will arrive by the time I get home!

I have a source deep within Sony who I'm not at liberty to name, that has told me in confidence there are actually negative preorders for PSVR now.I'm starting to wonder if there is anybody with a pre-order left.
The good news is all PSVRs come with a demo disc so you can try a lot of the games before you buy. On the disc there will also be direct links to the Playstation store for convenience.Reviews/impressions of the games are going to be so important at launch. It doesn't seem like there's any sure bets at this point. I hope there's in-depth coverage all the games from the media, because I'm going in blind and don't even know what I'm going to play when I get the thing.

What does that mean exactly? That they don't have enough supply to meet all preorders?I have a source deep within Sony who I'm not at liberty to name, that has told me in confidence there are actually negative preorders for PSVR now.
Hmm. There is ton of potential here but I'm not too impressed with that gameplay. But it is ~6 months old by now and maybe we can get some new footage with VR soon. Here's 35 mins of gameplay with the devs: http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/unfinished-ex-100ft-robot-golf-04062016/2300-11102/
I thought it came with a wiper. So many people interested of coming over to try PS VR at my place on the release's week-end.
I had to split everyone up into two groups. And I still fear it'll be a bit crowded on both nights.
I'm gonna need something good to wipe the lenses between everyone. I guess any microfiber fabric should do, right? Anything else I should have on hand?

I'm sure the first page will be filled with people shit-posting this and evangelizing Vive.
Moister from body heat.I've never worn a VR headset - why would you need to wipe the lenses?
I tried the Vive at a theme park so those headsets have probably been worn by 1000's of people, I don't think the lenses will be a problem but I would keep a cloth to wipe sweat from where it makes contact with the face.So many people interested of coming over to try PS VR at my place on the release's week-end.

This is the main reason I would buy PSVR, I never had friends ever come over to my house to play video games!
