The one thing I can really give crossfit credit for is their diversity of workouts. They try to avoid accidentally specializing, which I find really important. But... All speed, no form.. Such horrible execution

Weight lifting if done properly is definitely not useless and usually not dangerous
in fact, quite the opposite. It promotes bone strength/mineral concentration, decreases the chance of severe low back pain (80% of North Americans have it), and increases your metabolism. But I do agree with you that some exercise regimes really don't focus on safety and proper execution as much as they should
crossfit is the most obvious example IMO o_o
