Why are you doing that CB?

Why, are you bulking?

I'm very underweight and need to gain 15-20 pounds or so. The problem is that I have trouble eating 2000+ calories in a day. A gallon of milk is like 2400 calories. Even if I fail to drink a complete gallon, it can only help.

By Zeus... I tried this. It was terrible. If you're not lactose intolerant then go ahead. :)

Not lactose intolerant... I think

But jesus fuck this is more difficult than I imagined. I feel sick in a "gonna throw up" way after just a couple of glasses.

Went back to binge playing Civ V and I had forgotten how addictive it is.

Playing some mods as England and I'm wrecking everyone. Our Navy is OP.

Erased France off the map, Greece is down to one city. I took down Russia too. I'm wrecking Spain too, and I'm at war with Italy. But Germany and I are bff's. I don't think we'll ever go to war. I'm giving them money to keep them happy, heh. We have had so many defensive pacts, which is kind of weird that a lot of Civs want to declare war to Germany and I get pulled into a war. That's what happened with Italy essentially, and the Ottomans.

I control almost all of Africa, and I'm allied to many city states.

I can't wait to take on America, Brazil and pretty much the new world.

Playing on King Difficulty, heheh...

I'm guessing you're drinking whole milk? Maybe try drinking 1% or 2%. You'll still get a lot of calories, and it goes down way more easily. Back in my youth, I consumed a gallon of milk in a single day on multiple (many?) occasions, but that was nonfat. Personally, I never felt sick, but I was also very used to drinking and consuming lots of dairy. You should try to work up to it, since many people's bodies do have to get used to consuming that much dairy.

Also, be careful about the nutritional balance (calcium, cholesterol, etc.).

I just realized that all iphones previous to the 6S had 1 gb of RAM and a dual core processor... lol

That's laughable. I don't understand the craze for iphones and anything apple makes this days.

Meanwhile, on Android phones... Helio X20

Of course, a lot of cores =/= better performance, but it's nice to see that mobile CPU's are coming a long way, especially on Android platforms.

Shipments don't equal sell through sweetheart.

Also the reason people have to root their phone is cause it's full of bloat ware. And let's not forget you can jailbreak an iPhone if so inclined.

Don't make me post an Apple satisfaction percentage.

"Daddy, will I own an iPhone when I grow up?"

"Well, you see, son, when people grow up, most will eventually buy a cell phone. Some people, but not all people, will grow up to really like iPhones, and so, when the time comes, they'll buy an iPhone. Others, however, will really like Android phones, and so, when the time comes, they'll buy an Android. And then there are some people who will like both iPhones and Androids, so they might buy an iPhone OR an Android. There's also even people who will decide they don't need a cell phone and may never buy one at all! There's no right answer."

"But Daddy, are you sure? I heard that people are supposed to love iPhones."

"Son, the only thing you should do is be happy. And whether that involves owning an iPhone or an Android or neither makes no difference to me."

Don't mind me, just practicing for my never-gonna-be-real children.

EDIT: This makes even less sense on a new page. Oops.

I had about 1500 mg of caffeine today. I can't sleep at all.

95 mg of caffeine are in a cup of coffee according to Google. :S

I root my phone to mess around with it. I can also install Windows 10 in it thanks to my phone's 64 bit Intel processor.

Intel inside ~ ftw!! :)

Also, my friend don't sweetheart me. :p

It's perfect!!

But my children will not have iPhones.

Probably Apple will be irrelevant by then.

That full gallon of milk at 2400 calories is probably close to whatever your recommended daily caloric intake is; it's basically a nutritionally complete liquid food. Which makes it really helpful for bulking up both muscle and fat - hence why GOMAD became a popular trend among amateur bodybuilding types and gymbros some years back - but even if you're not lactose intolerant or allergic to casein or what have you, that's a fairly intensive load to put on your digestive system with one particular type of food that comes with its own quirks. Like, there are adults that have trouble digesting a little bit of butter, with its trace amounts of proteins and lactose, so not being able to drink several glasses without feeling a bit off is not terribly surprising.

Oh, and if you are drinking whole milk, the extra fat makes it more satiating, too, so you're basically trying to consume food past a natural setpoint of fullness. Like forcefeeding, it's probably gonna make you a little sick.

I would tend to avoid drinking tons of supplemental soda unless what you're interested in gaining is fat and a load of potential health complications, yeah.

Eh, I think high-fat tastes far better (ymmv) and the tide of nutritional evidence has begun to sway in its favor. Plus, if he's looking to add weight (muscle and fat), he'll need all of the dietary fat he can get.

Interestingly, milk is probably one of the most nutritionally balanced or at least "complete" solitary foods you could find, next to perhaps the egg. It's a cheap and widely available source not only of high-quality protein, but of all of the other macro- and micro-nutrients as well.

The liver downregulates cholesterol production to compensate for increased dietary intake - that is, for most people dietary intake of cholesterol will have little or no effect on serum cholesterol levels. For realsies. A gallon of milk a day is pretty damn extreme, but there is evidence (see previous link) that high-fat dairy consumption in itself does not inherently correlate with greater risk of obesity, heart disease, and other metabolic disorders as was previously commonly thought.

Dahling help!

How do I get all this caffeine out of my system... :(

Ozu is sooooo good. Everytime I watch his films I am moved emotionally and it is done so subtlety and without excess sentimentality. And I love Setsuka Hara's performances, perhaps my favourite actress.

I've heard of Xavier Dolan but I have never seen any of his films. To be honest I probably avoided because, superficially ,it looked like his films were giving me Sofia Coppola vibes, a director I don't like. But if you recommend I will check out his works. He is very attractive too ;)

I've seen We Need to Talk About Kevin by Ramsey and I liked it. Haven't seen her earlier work. I think she is in directing limbo because she walked out on a film shoot or something.

Bresson is great but a bit of an idiosyncratic director. The first time I saw a Bresson I was a bit perplexed and I still am at some of his films. I would recommend Au Hasard Balthazar, it has a lovely Franz Schubert piece that underscores the narrative.

Ming-liang is probably a love or hate it director. The first film of his I saw was Stray Dogs last year at a film festival; half the audience left but I was entranced! lol
Very minimalist and slow paced; his films remind of Chantal Ackerman's Jeanne Dielman.

I know. Ozu just has such a great way with basically everything in terms of filmmaking, I'm constantly surprised by how he manages to get to me on an emotional level every single time.

Hmm, I can see the Sofia Coppola comparison (perhaps more so in his early films) but I think that Dolan has a different enough tone that you can check out his work. Maybe start with Tom at the Farm since albeit it is more of a conventional thriller it certainly gave me no Sofia Coppola vibes what so ever.

Ramsay's earlier works are just incredible (if less accessible), like I said I think that you would enjoy her films. Her attentions to detail is second to none and she conveys narrative and character development through camera work in a very unique way. Ramsay got fucked over on "Jane got a Gun", not that I'm saying that she did nothing wrong but man the reporting about her walkout was so biased in favour of the producers. Luckily she seems to finally be on her way back, being on the jury at Venice as we speak, being executive producer on an upcoming film and even though I'm not the biggest fan of his video essays it can't have hurt that Every Frame a Painting did a video on her in May. I just really want someone to give her a huge sum of money so that she can make her Moby Dick in space film she has been talking about.

Getting used to whole milk is the best thing young me every did. I need to buy two liters of milk every time I visit the store though because I use it in my morning coffee as well as food.

Your comment on milk and eggs makes me think a lot more positively of pancakes :p
Maybe not with the truckload of maple syrup that I put on top of it...
