When I was in a relationship, we were. However, I think those discussions were mostly limited to celebrities or people we saw in whatever we were watching. There might have been a couple more "accessible" people we talked about, but the few times I can think of that happening were when it was relevant to a story or the conversation, i.e., it wasn't freely and spontaneously shared.
For me its that I'm not into the guys that message me, and the guys I am into typically don't respond. I can lower my standards... somewhat. But theres so many who just don't appeal to me at all. But also I'm super freaked out about getting some zombie-std from some random stranger. Much rather have sex with someone I'm at least familiar with. But I'm probably just overly paranoid.

Obviously the risk is very small though, I know that. Its just something I should get over. Also, people don't use condoms for oral sex which tends to defeat to purpose cause contrary to popular belief you can get an std from it.

Saying "X is very handsome isn't he?" or "X looks really good" without declaring your intention to break your commitment to pursue them is perfectly valid. You can't expect each other to be the only target of the other, well functioning, eyes. Beauty disappears as a relationship factor with time anyways. You lose the grasp of your S.O. Attractiveness.

).I imagine in a situation where there is solid trust, a healthy sex life, and little to no body/attractiveness insecurity, that wouldn't be weird or an issue at all. For a healthy relationship, it seems hypothetically fine to me! Maybe not something to talk about on the first date, but I could definitely see that being a part of my romantic future (if such a future exists).
Edit: For context, I'm thinking about this from a monogamistic perspective and as someone who probably wouldn't be down to have threesomes, etc. I imagine my opinions might be different if that weren't the case.

my girlfriend and I are pretty open about it, although she makes fun of me sometimes because I definitely have a 'type' that makes her roll her eyes lol. But yea, as a relationship ages, so does the attraction, it's complicated. I'm picking up my slack by working out, but more about personal reasons than because of him.
One thing that helps a lot is not spending 24hrs together, time alone is the best thing to a relationship!

Glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I just recently deleted all my dating apps and online dating profiles because it was making me feel so shitty. It'll be nice to get away from all that stress for a couple of months.
