IMO I thought he was acting very strange this whole episode. Beating the shit out of Nathan was very uncharacteristic of him.
Also Brooke is obnoxious as hell. She makes sure to mention Warren going with her 3-4 times in a single conversation.

Is she nicer at all if you turn Warren down and he's going to Ape with her instead? She was a total bitch to me too.
Does taking the picture of Victoria back in the first episode affect her not trusting you at the party?

Nah, she pretty blatantly tries to rub it in your face.
wow
does she at least let you fly the drone?
Another thing I noticed is that max's original photo contest entry is on the menu when you click episode 5 and I think it means something
wow
does she at least let you fly the drone?

Something that gives concrete evidence of her suffering and imminent doom. But we really don't get that. The decision almost comes out of nowhere.
I honestly took this as Dontnod telling me "don't worry, we got the picture, you're not dating Warren." I was thankful for it.Nah, she pretty blatantly tries to rub it in your face.
There was also the note from the Doctor in Joyce's room. The writing was on the wall. But I didn't kill her because "it's not over until it's over." Also, what if we have to go back to that reality for whatever reason? What if we have to live our life there? I know she burned the photo but that doesn't mean much to me.Eh? Didn't you talk to Joyce in the bedroom? I think she said something along the lines of "she doesn't have long left"
Yes, if you are nice to her in episode 1 she says that max could have been mean to her but she wasn't.
I wonder if the owl in the barn and the owl flying across the screen at the end of episode 4 means anything.

I see a lot of people mad that they couldn't put the stuff back in the Dark Room, but I'm thinking there wasn't a choice to rewind because then Chloe wouldn't remember and Max wouldn't do that to her friend. Though I can't explain why you couldn't take pictures. This was a weird episode. Some of the dialogue felt really off, after the improvement from episodes 2 and 3, there's a lot of stuff in episode 4 that's worse than 1. Some of the twists were neat as hell, but some were disappointingly normal, I was expecting crazier shit, though I was already expecting Rachel to be dead ever since I first saw her posters everywhere in episode 1 and realized she was this game's Laura Palmer.
It also had some of the best gameplay segments of the entire series so far, with some neat little putting the pieces together stuff, but at the same time had some unusually dumb gameplay aspects, like after teaching you to cover your tracks in the last 3 episodes, not even offering you the choice to do so in many cases.
The most bizarre point to me was that, even though it was by far the longest episode, it still felt somewhat rushed. I don't mean the pacing, if it was longer I would lose my mind probably, but it felt like they just wanted to get the story where they wanted for episode 5, and didn't mind some subpar stuff along the way. A lot of this episode just felt off to me.
I would normally hate the Jefferson twist, but he somewhat saved what was an unexpectedly boring Dark Room. Nathan's drawing about Rachel in the Dark Room made me think of far weirder things.
The owls are not what they seem.
whose voice was that in the preview? max?
Yup. I thought it was Victoria at first, but nope, definitely Max.
Does anyone else think that Warren might have been dosed by someone during the Vortex Club Party? He specifically mentions having half a drink (similar to Kate) and seems completely wasted.
It could be nothing but it still seems kinda odd. I wouldn't think anything of it if he didn't mention how much he drank.
I did think he was going to be a total creeper in that scene so I'm glad it didn't pan out that way.
Man, I am so replaying this game after all this is done.

If we do use the Warren selfie to go back, theres a good reason to have to bring up the other photo time travel and euthanasia choice with Chloe.
I don't really understand how...
If Jefferson is famous, why the hell is he in some small-ass town teaching at a private high school?
And why the hell was he okay with kids drinking underage at a party where he supervising it?
Maybe he owns the barn under the name they mentioned.

There's a news paper article somewhere that showed only 4-5 people reported missing in Arcadia, and some of them were a long time ago and weren't young girls, so I would assume Jefferson hasn't been killing anybody other than Rachel Amber.
You're talking about a guy currently in cahoots with a mentally unstable boy abducting women, photographing them, and at times, killing them.
Pretty sure he's got his own fucked up reasons for the small town schtick.
I think the whole end of the world stuff, along with the rewind stuff is probably just some hallucination stuff and Max has been the one drugged up in that hole the entire time and the tornado is some kind of symbolism that her life is about to come to an end or something like that.
Then this really is True Detective the game ain't it.![]()
