The best character in the entire damn trilogy isn't featured in the characters list.
Either Kagari just overlooked him, or this is just how much Square-Enix don't care about Sazh. They would sideline him for both sequels while lesser beings like everyone else get the spotlight. Shameful display.

Well I'm excited, I've enjoyed all Final Fantasy games from the PS3 era. Worried a bit about the time limit in relation to Platinum trophy but I'm sure there will be a helpful guide by the time I get around to it.

I haven't bothered with 13-2 but the OP just reminds me of what this gen's games could have been.

Still, there's nothing really preventing you from adding him on even if it means using an old render (he's wearing the same clothes all the way through anyway). You'd have gone above and beyond the pitiful level of care SE's given to the guy. But yeah, it's a tiny little thing.

Turns out a worthless Goddess saved everyone at the end of FFXIII and by doing so, doomed the time-space continuum because she wasn't supposed to interfere in the normal realm. She makes Lightning - who blatantly deus ex machina'ed her way out of her fate in FFXIII - her new vassal *ahem* Warrior Goddess.
Lightning then sends new guy Noel and Serah off on a journey to "resolve" paradoxes in time all thanks to the aforementioned worthless Goddess being such a shit deity. They encounter new baddie Caius who would like nothing more than to completely stop time so everyone's favourite South Park Kenny of the trilogy - Yeul - can stop dying over and over again because seeing the future kills her.
Old Cocoon due to fall and ruin the planet at some point hundreds of years in the future. Hope, who has inexplicably become a genius scientist and head of research finds a way to build a new Cocoon which involves hibernating himself for hundreds of years. Noel and Serah "stop" Caius, but Caius forces Noel to stab his heart. It turns out the aforementioned worthless Goddess decided to plant her HEART inside our baddie because...reasons. As Caius "dies" (hint: he's back for LR), so does the Goddess. Which means this essence called Chaos from that unseen realm she has resided in is unleashed onto the world, corroding it and contorting it into LR's new Nova Chrysalia.
Serah dies because for some reason or another she could also see the future which kills her because...reasons. Lightning in Valhalla while still being the worthless Goddess's slave, realises that Serah would die and kind of acts horrified, choosing to crystallise herself and...I dunno. I stopped paying attention there. I don't know anymore. =(
Oh, forgot to say. Fang and Vanille rescued from pillar just before Old Cocoon falls.

I'm not expecting much from the game, really just is a time waster for me while I wait for other games to release later this month. Since I really have nothing to play at the moment.

Super hyped. I like the XIII series and I like Lightning. Can't wait to see how it all ends!
I was surprised she decided to make the OT since she didn't like the game that much.

Hope's group successfully extracts both Fang and Vanille from the base of the crystal holding up Pulse
thats was pretty spot on it seems you didnt play the 5$ lightning requiem of the goddess dlc which had the real ending to the game connecting 13-2 to LR.
Gaf is scary.

Well it may not be a great game but I cant pretend that I dont want this. I need to finish whats left of the butchered story and get ready for XV. Replaying the older ones has made me realize I enjoy it more when im not watching the world complain about it, hell I really liked 13 this time and the story was pretty good. I'd rate it higher than the sequel now

Tempted to preorder but I still need to play the other two games. Retailer specific preorder bonuses are ass.
You unlock two costumes. I don't know how they fair against in game costumes though as far as stats.

As far as I know, yes it is explained. I seem to recall laughing at it when I found out why and how though.

Cocoon does fall, but its impact on Gran Pulse causes virtually no damage thanks Academy's invention, a metashield. Bhunivelze (new cocoon man made sphere by hope and academy) rises
