Nah, they're sold out. Don't trust the bar at this point.
There's not, you'll see they're oos when you checkout.
It was pretty much exactly 10 minutes on the spot until they sold out
When is the second wave? Got distracted at work and missed both.
Ah, OK. This is my first non-preorder LRG release o.o"
Suddenly got super busy at work and figured I'd missed it by the time I got back to my desk, went to checkout with both and it said they'd sold out, tried again and no longer sold out! Managed to get a copy of both about 15mins after they went live thankfully.

I wonder if this makes them rethink their Skullgirls strategy? I hope it sells the 10k they want, but I almost think if they just made a 10k printrun, it would sell out pretty quickly too. Potential upside of more than 10k preorders vanishes though. Honestly, very surprised by how quickly Shantae sold out in run 1 vs One Way Heroics and Dragon Fantasy a few weeks ago. Pretty awesome! Congrats Limited Run!
We are 25 games in and I still have a complete collection
Well, save for the Soldner and rainbow moon soundtracks, but that's ok
Full game collection!
I'm sure that they are well aware that a 10k run would've sold, you aren't the first person to say this and if anyone knows anything about LRG sales it's LRG, i'm sure there's a valid reason for the pre-order strategy.
Goddamn, LRG website is an ugly mess: on checkout I had to go back and forward several times because my cart was randomly showing one of the two Shantae as sold-out, but I was eventually able to place my order for both. I sincerely hope.
E: Well, I just got my confirmation email! But please LRG, you should really spend some time improving your check-out backend because it's so unreliable and tiresome right now.
It's worth a shot, but it isn't a model we'll pursue unless the devs request it with the full understanding that it could negatively impact sales by removing urgency.
It's as simple as Lab Zero wanting to make sure that everyone who wants one can get one. They've got a big enough fanbase that I truly believe it won't have trouble reaching the sales goal. Smaller titles would certainly struggle to hit those numbers, but I believe a strong enough game can (and Skullgirls fits that bill). It's worth a shot, but it isn't a model we'll pursue unless the devs request it with the full understanding that it could negatively impact sales by removing urgency.
I think once you all see the mockup for Skullgirls and what you get for the price - most people will be pretty keen on it. It's looking beautiful.
Any daredevils out there manage to get the OSTs and games together in one order?
It's not really something that can be fixed because the way it currently works is as follows:
Items can be added to the cart so long as they aren't registering as sold out.
Items get marked as sold and removed from inventory when checkout is completed, but items are reserved for people if they initiate checkout with the games in their cart. This gives them a window of time to complete checkout without having to worry that the games will get sold from under them.
If the user cancels out of checkout, the inventory is freed up and someone else is allowed to check out with that game. Shopify allows customers to add reserved items to the cart so this scenario can play out. If items were removed from inventory when checkout was initiated, we'd have an even worse checkout process.
The only alternative is reserving items for a certain time period when they're added to the cart, but that would be garbage as people would hold games and soundtracks hostage across multiple accounts. It would give people time to waffle on purchases and ultimately make the experience even worse.
There just isn't a better way to do it. In comparison to how many complaints we used to get about checking out - I think things are A LOT smoother now.
Congrats, buddy. Did you end up getting Shadow Complex? I remember you mentioned it around mid-Saturday back at release.
What cover is everyone hoping for?
Personally i'm hoping for #2 for riskys and #1 for pirates

But that's exactly how it works now only without the captcha, and there's nothing that suggests bots are doing something at all. What about putting up something like reCAPTCHA when the user starts the checkout process? You could then let him have that copy reserved for some time either until he completes his order, or a timeout occurs? This way you'd (most probably) resolve the multiple (automated?) accounts that clutter the server, and remaining inventory counter would be far more reliable.
Was Saturday Morning RPG on the old system and Dragon Fantasy on the new one?
Yeah, I prefer those too.
But isn't the cover art reversible anyway?
Is it possible to make it more visible how much stuck is reserved for checkout, vs how much is actually sold out? That seems feasible and would probably help alleviate a little frustration. It's not really something that can be fixed because the way it currently works is as follows:

Pretty sure it is yeah. Only really matters then for collector's who like to leave sealed.I was thinking the same thing.....but now I'm not sure.
Anyone knows? LRG?![]()

Dragon Fantasy sold out in 5 mins
I think people are underestimating the populaity of Shantae. I predict 10 minutes max.
Thanks! Quick question before this all begins! If I buy those protective cases at the same time will the company put the soundtracks inside the cases when they get shipped out? Same with the games?
What kind of games are you looking for?
They are, but people don't want to open their copies.
I certainly did underestimate the selling appeal of Shantae. Don't trust my predictions guys.
Is Shantaes more popular than the other releases? This is one of the few I couldn't get in time. Hopefully the next batch.
Yeah I don't know what to do about that either. I love this series and I wanted to play it on a physical disc but now I'm wondering if I should keep it sealed. Don't want it to get damaged. They are, but people don't want to open their copies.
Same. Although I'm guessing that won't happen for me. If it does though, I'm keeping it sealed. What cover is everyone hoping for?

How long until the second batch? Just got home from work & walking around the city when they started selling the first batch.

EDIT: Ok, so I counted it right. :3
Looks like everything sold out fast? Them 'variant' covers! What was the print run on these ones?
They are just double sided covers. Open yours up and flip it for the other one.
