Still haven't processed this. Yesterday on my way to work, Heavy came on my LP playlist. After it finished, I replayed it. Can't imagine what was going through his mind at those moments.

I don't give a shit about the bander him but what's really sad to see all these people on Facebook saying "suck it up and be a man". " fame make you soft ". It's really kind of sad .
Was talking about this earlier. Humans are trash. That's why we have depression. We make each other feel worse.

RIP. I still remember when I was I first saw the music video of in the end. I was watching it by our neighbors window cuz we didn't have cable tv. I was at awe how the video look so cool. Thanks LP for introducing me to heavy music. Thanks for all those AMVs.

Remember trying to watch the Faint video on the horrible school computer.

By far my favorite band growing up and it was mostly because of Chester's awesome voice, i remember the first time i heard Crawling and Faint, my jaw was dropped. RIP

It's funny, I never took Joss as an LP fan based on his musical choices in his shows. I've seen a few people on Twitter saying things like this that surprised me.

LP have been an easy target for a lot of people. Its been "cool" to hate on them for them for a long time but I'm willing to bet a lot of those same people grew up listening to them and were probably fans back in the day.

Linkin Park were much bigger than people give them credit for I think, they are pigeon holed into the nu metal era but they were legit crossover stars for years. Not my cup of tea but they always had one or two songs every few years I liked. Chester had a hell of a voice.

I was digging that new one with Pusha T and Stormzy recently.

Selling 10 million copies of one album is no small feat, let alone having consecutive no. 1 albums. They connected with people.

While my tastes have changed, no concert experience was as amazing or fulfilling to me as the Linkin Park concert my brother and I went to when we were teenagers. It was sublime.

They were my favorite band growing up, and "With You" remains my favorite song for whatever odd reason my ears wanted it to be.

RIP. Thoughts and prayers to all friends and family. Chester's voice helped me through a lot of dark times growing up, and for that I'll always be grateful.

They came back recently from touring South American countries. They are fucking huge everywhere in the world, and can pack stadiums like few other artists can.

For real. I tried talking to my mom but all she said was that I was just lazy and need to get my shit together.

Fuck. I'm sorry.

We really need to get more education out there. Depression is a disease and I don't think enough people realize that unfortunately.

If you or anyone else on here struggling needs someone to just listen my PM box is open. As someone who has struggled with my own bouts of depression its i know its hard sometimes to keep going. And sometimes you just need someone anyone to listen.

Mental Health needs to be seriously looked into by all governments. Depression is already the most common illness in the world. If they don't act soon we are going to lose more and more people to suicide.

Fuck.... While I haven't listened a lot to Linkin Park in the last couple of years, they were an awesome and monumental band.

RIP. Thoughts go out to the family and the band members.

Very, very, sad. Unfortunately it looks like LP is done for good. There is no replacing Chester. It sucks because everyone else's career is now cut short, and by that I mean all their employee's, road crew, etc. Wouldnt suprise me if a few of the band members just retire from music altogether at this point.

First Chris Cornell and now Chester Bennington. Even did a performance dedicated to him after he offed himself.

Another unique vocalist gone. Music has died. RIP

I saw LP live just 2 weeks ago.

Chester was incredible. He spent half the show in the crowd, talking, singing, serenading, taking photos, shaking hands with the audience. I've never seen such direct interaction. He seemed like an incredibly great guy.

Seriously gutted.

Chris Cornell committed suicide back in may via hanging himself.

today would be chris cornell's birthday and chester killed himself via hanging. They were friends.

I doubt it's a coincidence.

I know it sort of goes without saying... but, no, no it doesn't go "without saying".

If you know someone suffering from depression, but there for them. Don't assume they'll be just fine. Showing you care can mean the world to them.

And, inversely, if you're struggling with depression, please understand that it's okay, it's something many other people struggle with, and that it's okay to get help. That things can and will get better, and that there's hope and so much to this life that's worth experiencing and living and so many people and things worth living for.

Never take anything for granted.

A lot people forget LP was one of those rare rock bands to successfully attract and maintain a diverse fandom. It wasn't just music for white people. Everyone was into LP. It's like a universal language.

I agree I think they were bigger than given credit for. I've been a big fan of them since hybrid theory. I just wish I could have seen them in concert. My thoughts are with his family.

People from all walks of life could relate to things he sang about. Sadness, depression, feeling lonely. It may have been the "cool thing" to hate on them but there's millions of people from all walks of life that related to to those lyrics
