Little Nightmares New Trailer | Gamescom 2024

Yes, if anyone is confused, Tarsier Studios (the developers of Little Nightmares 1 and 2) decided to go off on their own but couldn't take the IP with them. Bandai Namco decided to carry on making a sequel with a new developer, Supermassive Games. Tarsier Studios started making their own original IP (revealed today as Reanimal) -- which we now see is basically a spiritual successor and looks much better.

This still looks okay and I'll give it a shot but damn it's night and day between Tarsier and Supermassive. Like a cheap imitation of the same work.

so we are getting little nightmates 3 from supermassive while the original LN devs are making REANIMAL. Cool with me, looking forward to both.

It wasn't a "hateful split" based on old news, more like they wanted to own the IP but couldn't as Bandai funded the first two games, and both were a success. It's a bit of a weird move, especially since they got bought by THQ / Embracer which... yeah I'm not sure how this will go.

I'm on the same team as you. Clearly REANIMAL looks better and looks better, but I also like this LN 3 and it is also released earlier. I'll go for both.
