I must have overlooked this in create mode but what is the "Local Space" Option?
I believe it means that the thing will go in the same direction even if rotated. That is the notion i got from a tutorial on youtube but I cannot find the video right now.

While waiting for my copy to arrive, i've been replaying most of the story levels from lbp 1 because i lost all my savegames when my ps3 died.

I was surprised to see that the queue function from lbp.me works with lbp1. However, i was notified once about having levels in my queue but since then, i have no idea where i can find them again in the menu. Can anyone direct me to it?

It's in the community/search options. "My Queue" being part of the search filters.

So, does anyone have a solution to that issue I mentioned? How can I get some kind of variable speed of an emitted object? I want the player to select 'shooting' speed, but it needs to be analogue
Having the player select a shooting speed of an emitted object would probably require some heavy duty logic. I'm thinking using the 'counter logic' along with a whole bunch of presets might be one solution, but I'd need to tinker around with it first.

It is criminal how compressed these exported photos are : (

Here is my current creation: Masamura Gauge All 15, a recreation of a pre-WWII pachinko machine of the same name.

I still really need help with what I talked about: I'm not sure the best way to make the ball speed selectable. I just need to people to jump on a button of pull a level to select the shoot speed but it also need to shoot many balls over and over again.

edit: Thanks IratA. The last time I did this, I had the button attached to a piston that pulled back a piece of wood with elastic on it. You could EITHER fire multiple times or select the firings speed and only shoot once but I could never figure out how to do both.

During that extended play session there was a tank battle level that had adjustable emitter speed.

Story mode is way better this time around

It really is. There's a real variety in the levels and they are a real joy to play. Had a quick jump online last night and some of the user created levels are fantastic, even at this early stage. Really looking forward to playing a lot more of them. Had to sign out from PSN when playing last night though, it was taking ages to load up the story levels.

I'm in the Victoria's Laboratory world and I have a problem. The game is allowing me to progress to the World of Tomorrow, but it says I've only completed 6 out of 7 levels on Victoria's Laboratory. Strangely it gives me a pin for "Follow that Sackbot" but I never remember playing it. As well, there's a level that seems to still be locked. Is this normal that I can go on the next world but still not have completed all the levels in the previous one?
There are only 5 levels per world. The other two "levels" are the cutscene levels at the beginning and end of a world. Follow that Sackbot is the ending cutscene of Victoria's Laboratory. Score and Versus Challenges don't count.

Are there any good minecart levels yet?

I don't recall any in LBP1 and I don't know if people will do them more in LBP2. It was too complicated to do for LBP1 though. In LBP2 however I would know how to do a minecart level that is fun. I would also have an emitted track so it lasts longer than simply reaching the other end of the level's canvas.

Could someone test if US version includes spanish?

(Changing the language to spanish in the XMB and launching the game)

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage

Is it my imagination, or is online working better today?

I was just playing 15 minutes ago and it was taking ages to connect online.

I absolutely love the story levels in this game. They're twice as good as LBP1. The server issues are bothersome, though.

Is there a material that I can make invisible? I need it to be a "spacer"
Actually, it said there was about 57,000+ people online when I was playing.

Someone posted yesterday that they hated world 3, and that it was terrible. That person could not be more wrong.

I also loved world 3. Must be the type of gameplay there that they don't like. Personally I thought it was a blast although easier than both the first worlds.

it was probably the stage with the flamethrowers that pissed them off, the world was fine besides that. not the best world but lovable just like the others

you call that little, I'd hate what you consider big. =)

Something something "NOW THIS IS A DRAGON" *porn music* something something.

I didn't really like LBP2's story mode. Sure it's cute and varied, but it's too short. :/

Just from having my hands on the creation tools for the last day, it is just soooo much nicer and more simple to create with the new gadgets and options. Before I had to have this stupid arm that came off of my machine with a long array of score bubble emitters. It looked bad and was a pain in the ass. I can just have counters and score givers, and OMG the circuit board that I can diagram with stamps and then just hide out of the way. I'm going to be making way more of these if It's always this easy and fun.

I posted that and while I'm over my initial rage, I still think it wasn't designed well and it's my least favorite of the 6 Worlds.

I'm really digging what I've played so far, I'm confident this will hold me over longer than the first one did. Is anyone else having problems playing the levels they made in LBP 1? It says it cannot load my levels

Is there an easy way to create the effect of inverted gravity. I assume it has to be done with sackbot. I got a really crude thing going where it can move and do a bad jump while upsidedown but it still floats, it won't stick to the ceiling. Plus I think I am making it much more complicated that it is.

Any advice or even better pre made chips.

Just finished the story mode.

This is the best platformer made since Yoshi's Island. An absolutely monumental effort by Media Molecule.

What can I say: I'm a size queen. *tee-hee*

Okay, I'm not, but let's just go that direction.

It wasn't bad, but blowing through it in a day was disappointing. Sure there's acing and items I've missed, but still. :/ LBP1 felt longer to get through than LBP2's story mode.

Also I have a concept idea in mind, but I'm not sure how to implement the First-Person (shooter) view in addition to knowing if the controllinator allows for 360 degree control in all directions.

I still can't find an acceptable solution to my 'variable shot speed' problem. I can rig up a few things but it's been too complicated and the user side need to be as simple as a single button or switch.

I must have overlooked this in create mode but what is the "Local Space" Option?

It lets you decide whether "up" for an object is always the same (as in the level's "up"), or if it changes depending on how the object is rotated. Let's say the X button is connected to a mover on an object which can also rotate. With "local space" set to off, pressing X will always make the object move upward, no matter how it's rotated. With "local space" set to on, pressing X will move the object in its local "up" direction. Which direction is the local "up" is decided by the little arrow on the mover. This is useful for cars and such, where you want movement direction to change with rotation.

(The same goes for the other directions, obviously.)

YES, I finally divined the ability to make a sackbot the main character, and do double/triple/x jumps. If only there were tutorials, I wouldn't have had to spend hours on just that. But it's done now, so soon enough it'll be time to make enemies and a level.

I got halfway through NSMB Wii but the controls angered me too much to continue.

I sold my Wii before DKCR came out.

How do I import my profile from LBP1? I skipped the option on the initial start up and was wondering if there's any way to go back and import it? Been searching around for the option for ages and can't find anything.

I'm fairly certain that there is an option to do this in the Settings menu from pressing the Start Button. Sift through there, it should be clear when you see it.
