Is anyone else having trouble redeeming the preorder code for the bonus Playstation Classic bonus costumes? When I try to redeem the code I got, it just gives me a notice that either the code is wrong or was already redeemed.

I contacted Amazon preemptively to try and get a new code.

None of my codes work, I'm pretty sure we'll have to wait until after today's PSN update

A bit off-topic but, the PS Store just listed Little Big Planet PS Vita Marvel Super Heroes Edition Full Game (quite the name), for $20.

Guess it's a standalone release of the Marvel minipack. Would be cool if it unlocks all content across games.

LBP3 theme loses points for staying in one position (unlike the Japanese Toro theme which moves up to a new screen when you go up to the system icons), and for costing $3 for what is effectively an advert.

It gets a point back for swoop flying in front of your icons.

So I've been playing for about 4 hours now and I've only now unlocked Oddsock. Spent some time racing and preparing the meal for Matilda. There's a lot of side-missions and things to ace and collect and unlock.

Where on earth are reviewers getting the idea that the campaign is worse or shorter than previous entries? Even if it is somehow shorter, it's much better designed than anything in LBP1 or LBP2.

Just unlocked Toggle and the game does feel VERY short.
However all of these stages are wonderful!

probably didn't bother with the side stuff. and just went with main path.

Speaking of, why is that Spanish accent so bad? He doesn't even roll his "r"s. :p

Also, any tips for the car race? I gave up.

collect the bubbles with default. then change the car plan and use the car that looks like a bottle and add the rubber tires. and just hold R1/L1 and ignore everything else. you should beat him lol.

For the car race, just keep doing it and collecting all the parts.

Eventually I was able to win with the following setup (spoiler tagged in case people want to figure it out themselves

Triangle car body with 3 wheels (R1 R1 L1) and the flipper in the middle (X) to rotate you if youre spinning. This lets you keep on driving and makes it essentially impossible to "flip" over. No need for a balloon in this config either

edit: or i guess DMPrince's solution works too lol maybe mine was needlessly complicated

I can't get book 2 to trigger. I finished book 1 but book 2 doesn't appear in the game. The person who joined my party said they had the same issue.

EDIT: restarted my ps4, same issue, so did the other person.

I hope this isn't a bug because then I can't finish the story..

I had something similar happen, I finished prologue and it wouldnt let me go to the next level

In the bottom left of the screen there was an icon or something to replay the last thing, so i clicked it and it took me back to the last cutscene i watched. i skipped it and then the next part of story unlocked like it was supposed to

And you've played through the cutscene after the boss fight correct?

The cutscene where
I'm sent off to Ziggurat with Oddsock while the guy with flawless hair bids me fairwell?
I completed that cutscene, it took me back to my pod, and then it book 2 doesn't show up on the globe.

I played through the boss fight 2-3 times now to try to get it to trigger.

EDIT: looks like skipping the "To the Ziggurat" cutscene does the trick and lets book 2 open for me.

I would love to make some levels with that editor, but is the gameplay still so shitty? I have LBP2, but the gameplay is the worst I've ever seen in any platformer.

If you tell us what you thought was so shitty we can advise you. The platforming is tighter and more easily controlled and the level design focuses on less precision jumping, it appears.

Ah cool deal. I'll still get this to the crew and see what's going on with that.

Yeah I don't have pop-it issues. I imported my LBP1 and LBP2 profiles seemingly fine. It's bizarre how these issues only effect some people, apparently.

All this talk about bugs is pretty discouraging. Hopefully they have everything ironed out by Christmas.

Well, ideally much earlier than that, lol. But the holidays is probably when I'll jump in.

This game is so good...as charming as any other entry. Have already played through side quests multiple times for better scores. Super addicting!! The music, per usual, is AMAZING.

I would grab that theme, but no music makes me a sad boy. Tearaway's Vita theme is godlike BECAUSE of the music.
