London-GAF Meetup Thread: Sat, 24th March 2012

Great stuff!

So then, does anyone have any ideas about places to go after initially meeting up in De Hems? Are there certain things that we want to do as a group, like NYC GAF did with the webcam?
 
Yikes, I picked up the keys to my new place last Saturday so hopefully can get moved in earlier than expected... Sooooput me BACK ON the list as a 'tentative' please =)

I'll keep a close eye on this thread and coash prices over then next fortnight

Yeah this is totally in my diary, ain't got nothing else to do but hang out with you lot.

KungFuBill, you decided if you're coming yet? Would be really nice to have someone else there who is a girl. And Welsh.

Also hoping I won't be the oldest there.....

I'm 33 and I'm expecting some older, many younger.
 
If I was living in London I probably would have come but then I'd be the one of the very few females there and that might get a bit awkward so I guess its for the best that I don't live in London. :p
 
I'd have definitely been up for it.. but this just so happens to be on the one weekend we're having family up :(

Shame you can't make it, but we'll make sure to arrange future events.
 
Man I would love to make this. Busy in Glasgow these days, but a trip down to get pissed with gaffers would be pretty cool. Plus I have no doubt in my mind that UK gaf is Best gaf.

I dunno if I've been here long enough to go to any meet up, but it would be nice to go for a drink with a different social group. Long as no one has a problem with it, put me down as a maybe.

Put me down as a maybe, as depends on how work is at the time, and how knackered I am after getting back from a stint in Edinburgh, but living down Croydon way shouldn't be too much trouble getting into the centre.
 
I'd love to make this, but likelihood is that I'm going to be skint.

If there's a Eurogamer Expo one then I'll attend - but hope you guys have fun. If fortunes change then I'll possibly be there.

I put you down as maybe, but if you can't make it I'm sure we'll most definitely do something at Eurogamer as well.

It looks like I'm actually not going to be able to make it to this after all, annoyingly. Due to personal reasons I'll be out of London at the time and unable to attend. Hopefully it'll go well and there'll be more to come though!
 
The OP has been updated with some more information, and I've also organised things a bit differently.

I guess I should ask how much money one would recommend bringing.

Never had a Dreamcast and only ever knew one person who owned one. He used to pop over to use my CD burner to copy games. :/

Well I guess it would be unfair to expect him to bring all the system. Otherwise I probably would consider the Dreamcast. Still have an SD tele so I'm in no rush to jump into the HD systems.

Dreamcast went already, a friend claimed it from me, along with Project Justice: Rival Schools 2.
