Predicts the worst decade for Sony starting 2022
From 2 big websites: IGN gives it a 6 while Gamepost gives it a 7. Madden continues on it's tradition of mediocre football simulator. This is why monopolies are bad. *tear in my eye thinking of NFL 2k5" Madden use to be a franchise that would innovate and had so many gameplay features it was almost mind blowing. Go back to Madden 05 and compare it to today's Madden 21 and it's almost like the Madden 21 is a demo with better graphics. So many features in today's Madden are missing compared to madden back when it had competition. The Madden game has no competition so no real incentive to innovate. But I digress, they will copy and paste the same game every year and it will be a top 5 seller every year. It sucks because a real NFL fan like me doesn't get a decent game to play. The best I can hope is getting the NFL 2k5 update.
EA sold it's soul ages ago when they started that whole Madden Ultimate team garbage. Just like in the Nba 2k series "VC bucks" , it's a subscription service hidden under glitter. I also would like to say it's no just EA's fault. Gamers are also at fault. Gamers are spending $100's of dollars on virtual characters. Then the online community is really bad:
Playing ranked online matches is rarely about playing real football: Most of the time it's a battle to exploit whatever glitch works this year. There is also gameplay faults every year that turn into only a handful of plays that actually works. It sucks because you can get beat by some 12 year old who doesn't know shit about football but exploits the A.I the right play. Every year there are "money plays" that exploit the A.i so rarely is a game about football knowledge or stradegy. It's about what can I do to exploit the A.I to win. Yes you can player control a character but often there are more than one hole in these plays.
