I'm starting to feel flighty like Kate. If I just run away, the show won't end, right?

At the end of the first season of Lost, I was willing to call it my favorite show of all time. I was in love and I couldn't wait for the next season.

Over the next two seasons, the show had its twists and turns, but I never once really had a problem with it as the end still felt lightyears away (plenty of time to deal with the numerous plot threads being opened) and the show had yet to dip into jump-the-shark worthy subject matter. (outside of, perhaps, flashes) Besides, any problems I did have were erased from my memory by the brilliance of the season 3 finale, still one of my favorite episodes of any show ever.

Season 4 came and, with it, the news of the end. I was pleased, figuring we'd start to see everything come together and relieved the pressures of the medium wouldn't drag out the show or creatively compromise it. And despite how the length of season 4 had been compromised, I really enjoyed it outside the Constant, (to much ridicule in GAF's thread) which I felt uneasy about due to the heavy time travel elements. The best paced of all the series and the beginning of the end, it kept my love for the show going.

Then we got season 5 and 6. Where once I would have been bittersweet about tonight, now I just want to see it all end. I don't feel any sadness and I'm beyond the point where I can be disappointed- that's already happened. I've said time and time again over the past two years about various problems that while I didn't like them at the time, I was willing to give Darlton the benefit of the doubt and see where they were going and I guess that still extends to tonight, but I honestly cannot fathom how the next 2 and half hours could redeem the show's last third. (and consequently, the whole show, given how the show's beginning seasons' openings of various plot threads will be tainted by their endings.) Oh well. Here's to you, Lost. At the very least, you've provided me with some great entertainment and here's hoping tonight will be no less.

Did you just say "Flashes before your eyes" and "the constant" was bad!?

Ahahahaha :lol :lol :D :D

Dude I figured I stayed up for Across the Sea might as well stay up for this :lol

That is, if my internet connection doesn't drop out :( *knocks on wood*

You're watching online? I thought the the American airing was going to be simulcast across Europe.

I doubt I would be able to if I wasn't getting stoned at the same time. :D

Best way to LOST watch by far. :D

He deserves nothing. His cause may have been sympathetic in a way before, but then he got a bunch of people WHO I HAPPENED TO CARE ABOUT A GREAT DEAL killed. So fuck him.
I barely even sympathetic toward Jacob or his cause at this point. Their sibling squabble wasn't worth the tragedy it wrought on the world imo.

Jack, fix this shit!

Couldn't imagine watching a new episode of LOST, much less the last new episode of LOST..ever at 4:30am. It would just feel strange. More power to Euro LOST-GAF.

I've watched every episode this season at around 4am.

Nah Jack'll just let it go

One last time, for classic Lost-GAF sake:

LOCKE A BOSS

KILLED NAOMI (like a boss)
That part gets me every time :lol

This LOST finale really feels like a once-in-a-lifetime event. I wonder if any future show will match its epicness anytime soon.
for me never again.. I don't think, but you never now...

I must be the only one who found Season 6 more than makes up Season 5 for me -- in fact, depending on tonight's finale, Season 6 may turn out to be one of my favourites. Up there with Season 1 and 3.

Fuckin' :lol at Locke saying he's in charge of the wellbeing of the island.
I know right? :lol Poor delusional bastard.

Everyone that I've talked to thought that Charlie was masturbating in the bathroom in S1.
Just seems like the sort of thing that he'd do. A friend just finished season 3 and when I talked to her about the show she said the same and I lol-ed.

Speaking of, "Ol' Charlie Was 'Batin in the Bathroom" would be a #1 smash country hit. Someone record it.

"Like A Boss" is still great.

And that statement will forever be looked upon as an emphatic truth after tonight.

:D

Yeah I don't think I'll even allow myself to get as invested in a show as much as I have with LOST.
Same. My heart and mind have been claimed, possibly for life.

The best Locke can hope for is somebody else using him to achieve something. Left to his own devices John Locke ain't doing shit.

Maybe it happens in the X timeline, like Claire has her babby at the concert and they're evacuated in a whirlybird for some reason.

People honestly think that?

And it's like the S4 finale, totally fucking insane, and Claire just shrieks "WHERE'S MY CHIPPY?!?!?!?"

The magical sands of the Island have been restoring it's BOSS since The Substitute. Locke will emerge from his cocoon and Jack will have no choice to pass Guardianship to the man who used to do it without having to drink the Jacob Juice.

Yep, well at least me and 3 other friends. :lol

He's trying to get in Kate's pants all episode, so I guess that planted him as somewhat of a perv in our mind.

I am now ready for The End. Sweet jesus, I actually managed to sleep 2 hours. Now Ive got my WWJLD shirt on for the first time ever, and am ready to let the good times roll.
