Yes, there's gonna be some interviews IIRC.

I'm gonna watch it, I just watched the series and rewatched it over the last couple months so I'm good. You should just watch the whole series again after the finale, though, if you have Netflix streaming you're good to go.
So is it just gonna be clips from the show or will there be commentary from the actors/creators?

My program guide says "past and present cast members discuss their experiences"
Might be worth checking out.

Ah okay, I'll watch it, then. Thanks guys.

Also, I'm reposting DeathNote's post about the TimesTalk from the last thread:

It's really good stuff. They don't give away too much, but if you're really worried about any sort of information on the finale, parts 1-5 are good to go (possibly more).

I'm rewatching S1 right now. At the Ethan Rom kidnaps them-episode. My guess is that they were going for a Sphere-like creature that can re-create whatever your dreams are. And it feels like, atleast in this episode that the island just creates the survivors dreams/nightmares and I have to say that if it ended like this, sure it'd make sense but I'd feel like they dragged it for far too long. Let's see. Still 5 hours to go. :)

Is the finale going to be commercial free?

Edit:nevermind, apparently a 30 second ad would be almost 1 million. No way they would give that up. :lol

This has been my desktop all month. Only two and a half hours left.

If there is a game changer twist in the finale - aka something that could easily be spoiled in a short sentence - then I foresee some crazy fool suiciding his account with a spoiler filled topic title.

Is GAF even safe?

I'm pretty sure someone has created an alt account for this shit.
Once the finale hits live, I'm out.
Lost-GAF, see you in another life brothas!
I'm bailing - this time for real - till after the finale.
Have fun, everyone! I'll be back after watching it tomorrow.

Posting ITT. And most likely avoiding this thread. (and the interweb) until i actually watch it.:lol i must avoid spoilers at all cost!

The wife and I have the numbers tattooed on our backs. After its over I wonder if we'll get them covered up :( Lost has been one of the best things for the both of us. We talked about it for hours straight on our first date together. That's what led us to get the tattoos. We first met between season 1 and 2. It's been one hell of a ride.

Hate that I'm at work right now. Will have to keep up with this thread to keep me sane, haha!

This LOST finale really feels like a once-in-a-lifetime event. I wonder if any future show will match its epicness anytime soon.

At the end of the first season of Lost, I was willing to call it my favorite show of all time. I was in love and I couldn't wait for the next season.

Over the next two seasons, the show had its twists and turns, but I never once really had a problem with it as the end still felt lightyears away (plenty of time to deal with the numerous plot threads being opened) and the show had yet to dip into jump-the-shark worthy subject matter. (outside of, perhaps, flashes) Besides, any problems I did have were erased from my memory by the brilliance of the season 3 finale, still one of my favorite episodes of any show ever.

Season 4 came and, with it, the news of the end. I was pleased, figuring we'd start to see everything come together and relieved the pressures of the medium wouldn't drag out the show or creatively compromise it. And despite how the length of season 4 had been compromised, I really enjoyed it outside the Constant, (to much ridicule in GAF's thread) which I felt uneasy about due to the heavy time travel elements. The best paced of all the series and the beginning of the end, it kept my love for the show going.

Then we got season 5 and 6. Where once I would have been bittersweet about tonight, now I just want to see it all end. I don't feel any sadness and I'm beyond the point where I can be disappointed- that's already happened. I've said time and time again over the past two years about various problems that while I didn't like them at the time, I was willing to give Darlton the benefit of the doubt and see where they were going and I guess that still extends to tonight, but I honestly cannot fathom how the next 2 and half hours could redeem the show's last third. (and consequently, the whole show, given how the show's beginning seasons' openings of various plot threads will be tainted by their endings.) Oh well. Here's to you, Lost. At the very least, you've provided me with some great entertainment and here's hoping tonight will be no less.

I'd be surprised if Smokie as he was envisaged up to around the Eko smoke kill was actually the smokie they decided on with all the Jacob / MIB guff.

I'm feeling a lot of things about this, but sad is not one of them.

I've been extremely satisfied with the final season and if the finale is as great as I'm thinking, you know, I can't find any reason to be sad. Bittersweet? Maybe. I'm just eager for this thing to go out with a bang and finally see how it all wraps up. But no, I'm not sad. I'm not sad because there are six seasons worth of this thing to explore after knowing the whole picture, and I'm eager to move over to 24 and finish the last season of that, and then onto Twin Peaks.

The final season of Lost, just as every other season, has been fantastic to me and if it ends in a great way, I just won't bother being sad about it. If the finale sucks? Yeah, I'll be sad about that. But it won't, so whatever. This is something that could have been screwed up so many times, but if you ask me, any real flaws are few and far between. This is a moment for me to celebrate, not to get sad over because it's ending but rather to rejoice an immensely successful and groundbreaking television show that shows what the medium can accomplish.

Damn I've already missed 5 fucking pages? GAH

Oh well I think I have decided to stay up for this..sooo another 5/6 hours before I can watch it? Lol :lol

Just over 7 hours left! I can't believe it's finally coming to an end after all these years. I'm gonna watch WTDF one last time and then get to bed, otherwise there's no way I'm getting up at 5AM. :lol

Staying up to watch the greatest show in TV's history, on here from 4:30am live in Europe. For once will follow the NeoGaf thread live. :)

Anyone still playing devil's advocate? Does MiB still deserve any sympathy?

BELIEVE.

Charles Widmore is his own grandfather.
Faraday was named after himself too.

If by sympathy, you mean want to win, yes.

"We have to go back for him"

damn. I love S1 and S4-5-6 Kate.
Kate: If that had been me, I think I would’ve run for the door.
Jack: No, I don’t think that’s true. (pause) You’re not running now

Also from the Pilot.

He deserves nothing. His cause may have been sympathetic in a way before, but then he got a bunch of people WHO I HAPPENED TO CARE ABOUT A GREAT DEAL killed. So fuck him.

Couldn't imagine watching a new episode of LOST, much less the last new episode of LOST..ever at 4:30am. It would just feel strange. More power to Euro LOST-GAF.

Just to measure my expectations tonight, did Desmond predict to Charlie that Claire AND her baby were getting on the chopper? Did he mention the baby specifically?

Catalix said:

Sure he does. He had a fucked up childhood and his brother worse than killed him. Jacob said himself that things were the way they were because of his own mistake.

Dude I figured I stayed up for Across the Sea might as well stay up for this :lol

That is, if my internet connection doesn't drop out :( *knocks on wood*

I doubt I would be able to if I wasn't getting stoned at the same time. :D

Yes, he mentioned the kid.

I think he was just lying to get Charlie to give in to having to die.
