He was introduced very ominously.

Who the fuck thought he was retarded, though? :lol Dude had more of a clue than anybody else. People didn't even know how to go find food.
That cool shit came after the Pilot though. I could see how someone could get these impressions earlier on, actually :lol

Mentally disabled/ or at least autistic:
- kept to himself and hardly ever talked
- sat in the rain
- special sixth sense
- weird extensive knowledge on stuff like board games and dogs
- the smiling orange peel thing

Pedophile:
"Walt.... do you want to know a secret..." :lol

I think its cool, actually. I wanna see their reactions.
I have no doubt their reactions will be funny, I just don't get why they want to offer them, because nobody takes them seriously at all.

I don't really get why people do this, but hey, it's fun to have a silly opinion that you can just completely disregard and laugh at.

From what i've read, the series took a deep sci-fi dive after season 3, so I don't know that I would have continued watching anyway. I have no personal investment in the show anymore, but a few friends do so i'm just gonna watch it with them, hang out, and see how it all wraps up. I might not understand what's going on from a plot or emotional level, but it doesn't really matter to me. So, laugh away I suppose.

And I plan to offer no reaction at all, because it obviously wouldn't matter.

Er zitten teveel Nederlanders hier op GAF lol
Overall mijn man. Overall.
Maar, ik leef in het Verenigd Koninkrijk :(

I'm going to try and take a nap. Set my iPhone alarm for 6:40 pm. I also set 3 backup alarms incase the first alarm doesn't wake me up. 6:45, 6:50, and, 6:55 pm. This is serious business.

This night is like the Super Bowl ( on a much smaller scale of course) in that a bunch of people that have never seen LOST or seen very little of it will be watching cause they want to be a part of something big. Tomorrow should be interesting as there will be a lot of newcomers with thoughts on the finale.

I still kinda think Locke's retarded.

Well, he was doing smokeys bidding from day 1 thinking he was following the good guy.

Though, Ben seems to have started that trend.

Man, I kind of wish I'd been at the Times Talk thing at the theater just to see these clips from the show on a big screen.
I was just thinking that too. I would just be worried that someone would shout something spoilery. I was wondering what would happen if someone did it at the New York event itself. Beamed to theaters around the country. That would really suck.

the loyal haters (some of whom are sadly no longer with us, but who live in the whispers that line the edges of these threads)

I lol'd.

I don't post in these threads too often, but I read them religiously every week. I am part of the silent Lost-Gaf. There's probably a lot of us. Can't wait for the end, and to read the ridiculousness and hilarity and fun that will come with the final Lost thread. It's been a great season (except for What Kate Does).

Here's a real contribution to a Lost thread (apologies if old):

The unfortunate thing is, between Evangeline Lilly's comments about the final shot of the series, combined with Lindelof's comments about the final shot of the series (in the TimesTalk, which Cuse then yelled at him about), I feel like I know exactly what will be in it (if not the circumstances).

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Nope. I've only seen the TT thing.

Fortunately, no. Haven't checked out either interview.

But the thing you're thinking... would you say it's satisfying?

I know what Evangeline Lilly said, so i kind of know what you mean, but lets be honest we really have no idea, whats going to happen

Hahaha, this probably says something about me, but I always felt that they were trying to paint Locke as a possible skinhead when they first introduced him. Obviously, his interactions with Walt afterwards sort of put that aside.

Either way, they were definitely trying to paint him as "different" from the other people.

.... it depends. I have to be really careful with what I'm saying here, but I will say that it's possible that what the final shot holds could be a huge cop-out. But they formed their words fairly cryptically, so it's unsure.

About to treat myself to some teriyaki wings and french fries. I try not to eat so shitty but fuck it, today is a special day.

Around seven I'm going to watch "Live Together Die Alone", my single favorite episode of LOST and play the drinking game to go along with it(everytime Desmond takes a drink you take a drink(out the bottle of course). I should be nice and in my zone by 9. :D

Ooookay I'm out :)

Will watch this tomorrow morning! Can't wait. Luckily tomorrow's a national holiday here in the Netherlands. It's fate.

no because I avoid these interviews like the plague

Oh I missed the thread launch. ;-)

One part of me doesn't want to watch this finale tonight. I can't imagine the chaos here afterward.

Now that's a twist. :lol

No matter what happens in the finale, some people will hate it but I have faith that it will be as satisfactory as it can be (within reason).
Not every question will be answered, not every plot and character will have an ideal conclusion but the tension is through the roof over the last several episodes and I have no doubt that The End will be 2.5 hours of television bliss.
OMG I can't wait. I wish I had a few napples to get me through the next few hours of waiting anxiously.

I won't be doing anything too special for the finale. I'll just smoke a little gangja and watch it with the GF who is a huge fan as well. My cat will probably be watching it with me as well, she likes to stare at the telie.

You guys gonna watch the 2 hour recap? I sort of don't want to because I've never done a rewatch of the series, and I kinda wanna rediscover past seasons that way.

Yes, there's gonna be some interviews IIRC.

I'm gonna watch it, I just watched the series and rewatched it over the last couple months so I'm good. You should just watch the whole series again after the finale, though, if you have Netflix streaming you're good to go.
So is it just gonna be clips from the show or will there be commentary from the actors/creators?

Yes, there's gonna be some interviews IIRC.

OK, cool. :D

My program guide says "past and present cast members discuss their experiences"
Might be worth checking out.

Kate in the Pilot:

"We have to go back for him"

damn. I love S1 and S4-5-6 Kate.
