GAF, this is where I leave you. The time has come, and I will walk in and turn on my TV for the last time for LOST. Sad that the time has finally come, although I am very excited for the episode. I shall see you all on the other side, and may the island be with you

This is probably the worst season of Lost. I'm excited for the finale but at the same time know most things won't be answered.

As far as I'm concerned, Lost died with Locke

They didn't kill Locke. They just killed his body.

Some people wonder why I (and some others) root for MIB - it's because Jacob is an extraordinary asshole. His whole philosophy about taking people away from a shitty life so that they can come to the island and "start over" might sound nice, except that NEARLY EVERYONE WHO GETS TO THE ISLAND DIES. It's so mind-bogglingly twisted. Plus, he has no idea what the fuck he is even protecting - he's just doing it because his mommy said so, and she was shown as being notoriously deceitful and untrustworthy.

In Jacob's mind, apparently, being stranded on an island living in complete fear and confusion, followed up by death via smoke monster/gunshot/drowning/dynamite/etc, is preferable to a few hardships that everyone goes through in life.

Seriously, Jacob is deplorable. Fuck that guy.

They find redemption on the island.

Except for Michael.

Jacob's lived his whole life almost isolated on the island, his only experience with people is stalking them through his magic mirror. So in essence, he is a Gaffer, and you should not blame him for being an asshole.

I kinda don't understand why the LOSTies are completely on Jacob's side, they're both responsible for killing lots of their friends, not just MIB.

Just a thought I had, I'm sure it'll mesh better on a more thourough watch-through.

Let us post some GIFs. (I jsut did a LOST search on tinypic, I'm sure that GAFers put them there in the first place).

I have a full belly and snacks for later. This is going to be so awesome.

Did you bring pork grinds and beer? I swear if I eat of vegetable I'm going to throw up.

I'm on the west coast now so I can't watch it "with" everyone... :^( Is that even how it works? Fuck, I dunno. What fun it would be to miss the Lost finale because of time zone differences :lol

Probably because they realize letting a fucking smoke monster, that you can't even kill, off the Island is a REALLY bad idea.

Theres no reason whatsoever for anyone to be on MIBs side.

What about the fact he is by far the biggest victim of the show?

If you beat a dog, and it bites you, you are at fault, not the dog.

The thousands of people he's brought to the island all find redemption? Most simply die unceremoniously. And regardless, that's a poor excuse for removing people from their lives and leading them to certain death. He cuts people off at the right in their prime, their 30s, because it's apparently impossible that they would have turned things around in the next 50 years.

None of his actions strike me as altruistic. They're selfish. He's ruined countless lives because of his own fuck-up 2,000 years ago.

Jacob sucks, yo.

Something's definitely up with Christian. Smokey isn't telling the whole truth. They've been alluding to the importance of his missing body again all season, and they've finally found the casket just in time for the series finale :D

But the only thing Christian and Locke have in common is that they were the bodies of people who didn't die on the island but were later brought to the island.

So Jacob's collateral damage is inexcusable, but the fact that Smokey is a flat out mass murderer is a-okay in your book?

And speaking of selfish, jeopardizing the lives of everybody on the planet because you're bored...this doesn't register?

Like I said before, there's one huge problem with Jacob.

If he brought no one to the island, nobody could kill him, and Smokey could never escape.

-Sawyer better not die without ever meeting his daughter.
-Anyone ever notice how important the color orange is on the show?
-Vodka & OJ used to be my traditional weekly drink for LOST.. Full circle.
I'm goina have to see if I can find that somewhere, I've got a shitty 200ml bottle of Tripled distilled Smirnoff...:( but I haven't smoked in like 8 days, because I've been sick... so it's alll goood! :D :D :D Tonight is a night to remember...

People would find the Island anyway. Jacob presumably didn't invite the US Army or Dharma, or Yemi for that matter. The chance that somebody accidentally happened upon the Island resulting in Smokey getting his loophole was there, Jacob had to be proactive.

People would still have found the island, even if Jacob never brought them there.

example: the men on the island when the two were kids in AtS.

Plot hole closed, thanks. I buy it.
