Squirrel Babby will have his revenge in season 7, where the zombie army led by Charles Wigglestore and his zombie wife Zoe will rise and attack the Ajira Six. Only the holy powers of Lapisus, reborn from the waters, will be able to stop them.

It's probably been mentioned, but it's possible that Sawyer and Kate are a couple once off the Island. They're pretty close and lost the ones they love. I can't imagine them out of each other's life since they were best friends.

They're soulmates were married to each other and Sawyer/Kate were closer than Jack/Juliet...

loved the finale. I thought it was perfect.

I have one question though:
I always assumed that detonating the hydrogen bomb created the alternate universe (which was plausible in a pseudoscientific kind of way). Is that wrong? Because if it isn't that would mean they created purgatory... how does that work?

Some people think the bomb created it. I disagree completely with that interpretation. As for how they created the sideways, they didn't so much create the concept of this waiting room for the afterlife, as much as their lives and personalities shaped what it would be and what they needed to move on from the baggage of their lives. They shaped the experience they would go through, not the existence itself.

I agree that Jughead did great the flashsideways. And while the X-timeline served as a purgatory of sorts it's not a true purgatory. Due to the rules of "what happened happened" it would have been impossible to create an alternate reality. But what jughead did do was create an "After reality". A place that their consciousnesses could exist and eventually reunite after they had died in the original one.

Yea I want to rewatch. I didn't do the rewatch last time before season 6 but I want to in August when the Bluray comes out.
 
So combined with news from a set dresser friend of mine, who said they are doing Machete reshoot in Austin, and finding out Jeff Fahey is in a supporting role, I am 99% sure I saw Lapidus drunk on sixth street this weekend :lol

I assumed that the flashsideways was meant to always have existed, but the TV show only decided to start showing it to us that after the bomb went off.

It hasn't been explained, however, why Desmond started flashing to the sideways instead of normally flashing to different points in his actual life. Oh yeah, he's 'special'.

He had a near-death experience. He caught a glimpse of the afterlife.

He wasn't flashing back-and-forth like in "The Constant." It was a one-time deal that awoke Sideways Desmond's memories, and made Island Desmond aware of the sideways world.
