You crazy man.

As I was walking my dog, I kept thinking how some fans were confused about the ending (which had an entire dialouge/exposition scene to specifically spell it out) but could swallow Time Travel, the flashforward reveal, the time dilation stuff, and a bunch of other stuff introduced in the series.

I mean, for christsakes, in the Jack/Christian conversation, Jack more or less acts as the audience.

Is Buffy, Angel, and Dollhouse good at all? I think Firefly, Serenity, and Dr. Horrible are all amazing AAA material.

Buffy is good, Angel is Great, and I've only seen the first season of DH, which was...good.

Makes you wonder what they understood about all that stuff.
It's not a coincidence most of the "unanswered" questions I see thrown around are stuff from S1 and S2 that was a bit more grounded in reality.

I dont like anything Ive ever seen from Whedon. Even his guest appearance on Veronica Mars irked me. GTFOutta my show, Whedon!

Angel, friend. Angel. By far the peak of his output.

I decided to go on a shipper forum and theres pretty big uproar that "Skate is not Fate" and how the writers are amateurs and how they are disgusted and cheated :lol

The writers just cannot win

Dollhouse was okay. It suffered a lot from having a lead that is not a very good actress. If you can make it through the first few episodes, the storyline gets good midway through the first season. I never got past Buffy when they went off to college and maybe watched a season of Angel.

I thought Kate & Jack always seemed like the destined couple. People just like the bad boy. I only shipped Desmond/Penny (don't even know their fan nickname) so I'm all good with that.
And I guess you could say I kind of shipped Hurley/Libby but that was more just to do with wanting to know why Libby was in the psych ward with Hurley.

Damon must be so happy to be writing Star Trek 2 right about now. I wonder if any meta will slip into the screenplay about misunderstood intentions :lol

Buffy went through ups and downs during its run, ranging from absolutely terrible to pure brilliance.

Angel started off kinda badly but just kept getting better and better as the show went on. The fact that it got cancelled in its best season is tragic. Whedon's best show imo.

Dollhouse was bad, became slightly better than bad and just stayed there. Not worth watching imo.

wow... I still think what the majority in this thread do (they survived the crash, sideways was purgatory), but at least that cracks the door open for an interpretation of them being dead all along

No, it doesn't.

Its starting to hit me now just how amazingly awesome the X-timeline stuff was. Locke X was still in his wheelchair and Cooper was a vegetable. Locke X didnt want to get out of the chair as punishment for what he did to Cooper by crashing the plane. It occurs to me that this was a construct of John Prime's mind to cope with what he really did to Cooper Prime by having Sawyer kill him while John made a power play with the others. A lot like how Jack constructed a son. Damn, rewatching this season is going to give a whole new perspective on the X timeline stuff.

No. No it is not.

The writers brought Christian out and have him spell it out for the viewers. Something they really don't like doing.
Everything was REAL. Everything that ever happened to Jack and everyone he's ever met was real.

Flashbacks were the past ( Real)
Flashforwards the future ( Real)
Flashsideways, the purgatory.

The island was real.

I know you agree with this. But the general not-so-invested viewers can be so irritating at times!:lol

I'll call it now, Mad Men wins.
Lost doesn't need to win shit like the emmy's. Much like Inglourious Basterds didn't need to win an Oscar for best writing. Ain't no damn statue gonna add anything to its greatness.

Terry O'Quinn, Michael Emmerson, and Matthew Fox better win Emmy's- or some shit will go down

Generally, I don't really like the French language (pardonnez moi... umm... gaffeurs de france et canadiens et francophones en general), but Evangeline Lilly speaking it in that interview Mmarsu posted is SO incredibly hot. I think I love french right now. :D

Both O'Quinn and Emerson can't win :lol . It's either one or the other. Don't forget, Carbonell with submit Ab Aeterno too. So, all three of them could get nominated. If just two, it's gonna be O'Quinn and Carbonell.

Fox would be really lucky to get nominated, but he won't win over Cranston. Or Hall, or Laurie.

I hope he gets a nod.

My predictions:
- Bender wins for direction
- O'Quinn wins for supporting actor
- The show loses Best Drama to Mad Men
- The show doesnt receive a Best Actor nom

And I still think Terry submits LA X. Since Locke X, MIB and OG Locke are all technically referred to as Locke, its his best episode. He has that amazing scene with Jack in the airport which shows a soft touch and sage wisdom, and then in the same ep, he is menacing as fuck with his MIB "I want to go home" scene.

No, even though Lost leaves a lot of stuff up to interpretation, with this they didn't.
Christian's speech clearly rules out the possibility of them being all dead, he clearly says some people died before Jack and some much later. And it would make literally zero sense if perfect strangers needed to find each other to "move on", unless we want to consider this hypothetical island afterlife as the most important part of their lives (wait, what?).

Well, Dave in real world = Ghost. Dave on Island = Smokey.

Thats kinda how I see it.
Did Smokey ever scan Hurley?

I think Dave being a ghost makes sense considering Hurley's ability. They aren't known to be working in the Losties best interests a lot of times.

I'd like see pictures of each of the main cast members, off set, one from season 1 and another from season 6 just to see how much their appearances changed. All the sun exposure hit some of them very hard. It's hard to find a non-airbrushed picture of Evangeline Lilly from the season 6 time frame. Josh Holloway also got hit pretty hard.

I agree with Bender winning for directing the finale. I think it was phenomenal.

Actually, I think the last episode was phenomenal in all counts... I'm probably reiterating opinions others have stated before in this incredibly long thread, of which I read but a fraction, but seems to me like everyone who disliked or even hated the finale should probably be directing their anger at previous episodes like, for example, Across the Sea.
That specific episode did a bit of showing hows while not telling whys (and even adding some). By then many people knew, or at least believed that that was all we'd get and the possibility of big revelations regarding the island in the last episode was remote. For those who still strongly desired a full-on explanation, it's easy to see how the last episode disappointed. Still, if there's an episode where they could/should really have explained things it'd be Across the Sea.

It is clear now that the finale was only about the final victory of good vs evil, and the end of the journey for the characters, and for me it was a fantastic effort. I feel that if Across the Sea actually tried explaining things logically (which the writers probably had no hope to do, to be fair), possibly being stretched into two episodes, and if it had succeeded in satisfying the fans, right now the finale would be loved absolutely by almost everyone and generally acclaimed for the achievement it actually is.

Buffy has kinda aged IMO. I used to be obsessed with it when i was younger, but nowadays i don't care for it as much anymore. Still season 3 is pure awesomeness and they're some good stand-alones spread across seasons 2 4 & 5. Season 6 & 7 were shitty.

Angel is still great, starts off weak but keeps getting better and better eventually peaking with season 4, while having a solid final season.

Dollhouse - I still need to see season 2. Which i'm hearing is really good. Didn't care much for season 1, but it had it's moments.

The four that were hit the hardest were:
- Josh Holloway - gained weight
- Henry Ian Cusick - gained weight
- Emilie De Ravin - gained weight
- Evangeline - too much sun which aged her more than 6 years should have

Most of the others look pretty much the same plus 6 years of aging.

Interesting thinking about sayids time-line x. Could he have created that reality because of self-guilt over nadia's death and the people he killed? he was the only one i felt was in-consistent with the others, but thinking more about it, it might not be. Still hated how he ended up with shannon in the time-line x.>_<

You could interpret that Sayid was never meant to be with Nadia. He even gave her to her brother in LA X.

I thought Evangeline and Emilie both looked way better in season 6 than in season 1. I like women with just a bit more meat on their bones. A lot of people were mindblown when they saw Kate standing in the beach in her bikini in the pilot, but all I saw was a skeleton with small tits.

Evangeline still looks great, but I was taken back several times in The End by how chubby Emilie's face has gotten. Watch the scene at the concert if you really want an example.

Yeah. I happen to like it personally, but that's a preference. Her boobs looked incredible during the Ajira takeoff. :lol

I thought Emilie had a really pretty face and smile in S1-S4 but its kind of gone now. Her hotness peaked in S3. So did Evangeline's.
