guys, gais, GUAIS
I have heard about this. I knew about this.
It's just that for some reason, I thought that this had turned into a spin-off series of some sort. :lol

So I came home from work today to find that my dad finished season 3. He didn't seem to have enjoyed the rest of it much. He was also confused about the finale, he didn't understand the flashforward. I tried to explain to him that that was the future and he was like "then why was he talking about his dad". After a few minutes, I finally convinced him and he wasn't sure if he should continue watching or not. He was like "But do they answer stuff? Do they answer what the smoke monster is? Do they say what happened to Michael and Walt?" I told him yes and he was like "Okay, do you want to watch now?"

So we saw the first two episodes of season 4 and he didn't really say much. No clue if he's going to watch some episodes while I'm at work tomorrow or not, but he hasn't completely given up yet.

GO NUTS!

Edit: Im apprehensive about watching it :lol

Skipped through it (at work, so no sound anyways), and it looks like garbage, to be honest. 2 scenes, thats all. The warehouse as seen in the 1 minute thing, and another scene. Only 3 characters in it (4 if you count Candle).

Basically what happens is...

Some answers given. One last "Whaaa?" Lost moment. And one last Lost cliffhanger.

I'll miss Lost. :(

It answers:

Food drops
Polar Bears
Piere Changs Aliases
Hydra Station
Hurley Bird
Pregnancy Issues
Room 23

Theres some stuff about Walt but im not sure what it answers :lol

I was hoping they'd tackle the Cabin and MIB/Christian, both of which don't jive.

That's because they're both rather large plotholes. Them (and Mrs. Plothole) are too far fucked to be patched up in a 12 minute epilogue.

This is the only thing that REALLY bothers me.

I have no proof but im certain there were 2 Christians, Ghost Christian and MiB Christian, but i guess Darlton decided not to go that route

True...so this must mean there is another epilogue coming around Christmas time!

This is absolute proof that all these answers should not have been put in the finale, it would ruined it, it was much better for a funny epilogue.

I mean this was great but incredibly cheesy

Yeeeeah, about that...

Food drops:
Automated? Who paid the bills?
And if the DHARMA Initiative hasn't existed for almost twenty years, who recruited Kelvin?
Also, if all those two guys have been doing is dropping food on the island... well, surely (GET OUT OF THE HOUSE, SURELY BIRD!), that can't be a full-time job? Or just how often was food dropped there?

Polar bears:
So they were meant to turn the Frozen Donkey Wheel. Well, that's really, really silly.
And how did they get to that cave? Why did Ben have to blow a wall up? Are we to believe they build that laboratory over the bear passage, for some reason?

Pierre Chang's Aliases:
'Make no sense, as those videos were all meant for DHARMA personel, just like the one in that "epilogue".

Hydra Station:
... Not sure what the "answer" was, there?

Hurley Bird:
... was just some kind of gratuitous mutant bird. And it wasn't saying "Hurley" at all. Cop out.
(not that I think there would be many non-silly options to solve that one, but that's something the "writers" should have thought about before putting the bird in the series, really)

Pregnancy Issues:
Caused by the electromagnetism in the Orchid Station? How was Ethan born, then? The Orchid Station already existed back then (and Chang having both arms in that video tells me it was filmed before the 1977 events of the last season 5 episodes anyway). 'Didn't seem like DHARMA was concerned about pregnancy issues, really.
Besides, Chang talks about "early gestation", and that didn't turn out to be a problem for Sun, did it? Juliet assured her she needed to leave the island before the birth, and that was it.

Room 23:
So all those messages were meaningless, written by clueless hippies.
And did they learn anything from that? Not that we've seen.
All right, then! That wasn't a waste of time at all.
(and what about that "he's our you" guy, by the way? redundant much?)

The polar bear thing we already knew about, this was just confirmation. As for the pregnancy issue,
the incident turned a small local problem in to an big island-wide problem
.

This is an 11 minute DVD extra, what were you people expecting? For what it was, it was good. This is their response to the "teh answerz" fanbase. It's meant to clear up a few things people have always asked questions about that they obviously couldn't get to in the finale. It's just a fun extra thing to compliment the rest of the show.

I was just surprised by how obvious a lot of the questions they answered were. Like up to the walt bits, I was like, yea, this seemed fairly obvious.

Then the walt stuff went down and now Ii have SO MANY MORE UESTIONS THAT WILL NEVER BE ANSWERED. :((

I never really gave a fuck about them answering Walt shit, anyway, and I think it's more fun to be left wondering about something than to have answers to everything, so I'm okay with it.

Handwaving descriptions of somebody being "SPECIAL" are a bit more meaningful after MiB being told that he is "SPECIAL", but I really wish there was more direct description. Walt is being groomed to be the next person in charge of the island, just like Mother was grooming MiB.

That was pretty much what I expected before this came out, but everything before this gave the impression that he wasn't right for the job, so the Others let him go. So, what, Jacob didn't want him, but Ben and Hurley still think he'd be good?

I just find that especially sad though. In the show, he was going on to lead a normal life without this fucked up shit. And now he's crazy? And now Ben/Hurley are bringing people to the island? They suckering this poor kid into taking over for them? What's going on here? I GOTTA KNOW. :(
