Oh, so you're all the way caught up :lol
wasn't that episode just fucking perfect?
Solo said:I will tell him that I should be thanking him every morning when I wake up, along with Jesus, for giving me another day.
yup, most compelling main character dynamic for me since Jack-Locke. It really is something special, and key to the show's appeal.Solo said:Oh yes - I watched S1, S2, and S3, plus all 7 eps of S4, in like 12 days :lol
4.07 was one of the best individual episodes of the entire series. Ive always found the Don-Peggy relationship to be the lynchpin of the whole show, and they knocked that one out of the park.
EDIT: eat it, mccoy!

In the middle of season 1 right now myself.Blader5489 said:The Shield better be on that list too!
Or more than Jacob just saying that.Drealmcc0y said:Erigu needs to be spoon fed twice it seems.
Solo said:I've seen S1 of it. But Ive never seen anything beyond that point, so I never mention it.
Blader5489 said:I actually didn't really like S1 myself. But S2, right from the start, is when it gets good. And then the last couple seasons are just some of the best tv you'll ever see.
Catalix said:I'll do the unthinkable and agree with a Erigu point. Jacob's master plan to prove his brother wrong is all kinds of retarded. The way he went about things was truly senseless. So much avoidable tragedy, all hinging on a massive ego trip. Incompetent douche :lol
It's not simply a case of being flawed. That part of the story requires a man - who has lived almost 2000 years - to handle the show's biggest "idiot ball" (to quote someone from earlier). As far as we know, his moratorium on human interaction was self-imposed. I'm sorry, but I just don't get what this dude absolutely, positively haaaad to prove, in order to benefit mankind. So yeah, Jacob's nonsensical logic does put a damper on my suspension of disbelief.Drealmcc0y said:So because Jacob is flawed makes it a retarded story point?
Drealmcc0y said:Kate and Juliet are related as sisters.
I shit you not, look at what I just found out.

The same guy, both are Kate and Juliets father.
The pic on the top is from The Incident. It's Juliet's dad.
The pic on the bottom is Wayne and I think it's from What Kate Did.
The theory basically states:
* Wayne fathers Rachel and Juliet with Mrs. Carlson.
* Wayne cheats on her with Diane and Diane gives birth to Kate.
* Wayne and Mrs. Carlson divorce after she finds out about Kate in The Incident.
* Wayne, heartbroken over losing his daughters, begins drinking and comes to resent Kate for (in his mind) destroying his family.
* Kate kills Wayne just before the events of Not In Portland's flashbacks, Juliet finds out her father is dead and is upset over it, explaining her strangely weepy behavior in that episode.

Jacob was portrayed as a good guy. The writers are to blame for his "flaws".Drealmcc0y said:So because Jacob is flawed makes it a retarded story point?
Against a freaking smoke monster?Blader5489 said:Jacob helps those who help themselves.
Considering the guy apparently tends to slaughter them as soon as they arrive, that sounds fairly optimistic...If Jacob can prove to him that human beings are not what their foster-mother claimed to be--and that they are actually decent people capable of self-improvement--then MIB would be less likely to toss them around like ragdolls.
And once he saw that his brilliant plan was making absolutely no headway, he stayed the course, stubbornly repeating the same pattern over and over for centuries. Human collateral damage be damned.Blader5489 said:To get his brother to stay put.
MIB leaving the island will result in a lot of innocent people dying. MIB's actions on the island can (and did) result in a lot of people dying. This doesn't affect him at all because he has no regard for the lives of others. If Jacob can prove to him that human beings are not what their foster-mother claimed to be--and that they are actually decent people capable of self-improvement--then MIB would be less likely to toss them around like ragdolls.
It's like that episode of Futurama with the Popplers, now that I think of it. :lol

Jacob is insane, blader. You know this to be true ;(

Yea, that's the Canadian store. Hopefully they put it up on the US store soon! I'm doing some boring homework and this would totally make my night.criesofthepast said:http://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/lost-the-final-season-original/id389618580
