The only problem I have with that interview is that Daniel Dae Kim isn't going to say that the ending was shit. I can't completely trust it, but it still stokes my Lost boner.

I'd like to hear Michael Emerson's thoughts on the finale, since every interview he's given this year he's expressed reservations about how resolute and satisfying this season would be.

There are some (tiny) promo picks for episode 11 here

can't see many details but it looks like they are testing the effects of electromagnetism on Desmond

They've got bigger pictures up now

2 are interesting. The random guy on his knees looks like he's in pain. Followed by another picture of DoucheChill Lady and Fatty McRifle in the same room, with said random guy, on the floor, looking like he sat in the Sauna room a Wee bit too long. TEST PILOT!

There's a new poll, on which 3 of these things are going to happen, but I wont list what they are here. I could find the major spoiler topic, but I don't care to.

Holy fuck. Next week is a Bender and Lindelcuse episode

Their last ep was Lighthouse, which while good, didnt blow anyone away. Not saying that a similar thing will hold true this week, but just that not everything Lindelcuse/Bender touch turns to gold.

Exactly. Look at the season 5 finale.

Indeed. Looking back, the last OMGFUCKAWESEOME Carlton/Damon/Bender effort was probably Jeremy Bentham, or The Shape of Things to Come before that.

Are you being serious? The Season 5 finale was an incredible episode. The directing, and writing were excellent.

One of my least favorite episodes of the entire series, for a variety of reasons. None of which we need to get back into :lol

"Lighthouse" and "The Incident" were both awesome so I'm in.

But I swear if they brought Desmond back for just one episode, whether it's to send him off or to kill him, screw it.

Why the hell is ABC listing Desmond as a guest star in HIS OWN EPISODE?

I'm with Solo on this one. Season 5 finale was easily the worst of the finales. And boy was it waaaaaayyyy over-hyped by the cast and crew. The Jacob stuff was awesome, but everything with the bomb had no business being in a season finale. I was ready to fall asleep during all the 1977 stuff that episode.

Awesome episode, no doubt. Just not SPLIT MY HEAD OPEN awesome like The Constant or Shape of Things To Come or TTLG.
Well, differing degrees of awesome still means awesome, broseph.:lol

God damn DESMOND (Boss) episode, written by the Bosses, directed by a Boss.

GET HYPED

"Live Together, Die Alone" is far and away the worst finale. Desmond bits were great, everything else wasn't.

Gotta disagree man. The stuff with Michael completing his betrayal of the survivors, Locke's loss of faith, and as you said, Desmond's flashbacks and his saving the day at the hatch all come together to make a damn good finale imo. The cliffhanger was kind of lame, I'll give you that, but the one in the Incident was way worse.

f u mang, that white screen was awesome. Better than any cringe-worthy "Miss Widmore, we found it" shit.

Locke's loss of faith throughout S2 was one of the more annoying stories this show has ever done (same could be said for most of the stories in S2), and Michael's betrayal...well, the less about S2 Michael, the better.

Don't forget about S2s Darth Charlie :lol

All the love triangle scenes in that finale were awful.:lol it easily makes it the worst finale of the series.

Differences of opinion I guess. I literally rolled my eyes at the white screen and sighed.

Locke's loss of faith was great dynamic I thought. Especially when you watch Man of Science, Man of Faith and Orientation. Locke's faith is tested in a big way and while that's a common plot line in tons of different fiction, it's gripping nonetheless.

The stuff about Michael I love is just how much it makes you hate him. I didn't hate the writers for taking the character in that direction like I did when Faraday went all commando in the Others' camp, I hated the character himself. It drew me in and I actually felt for the characters he had betrayed. Quality television as far as I'm concerned.

The Incident's 1977 storyline bored me to tears. It seemed so drawn out and telegraphed. The only thing that blew me away was the reveal that Locke was MIB. The stuff with Jacob's flashbacks and his death were great, but you can't base an entire season finale on that alone. I was underwhelmed.

WTF? :lol

In the climax episode of the first season, the Losties.....open the hatch. Yay!....... Look, I love S1 (in fact, Ive recently once again decided that S1 is the best and slide it just ahead of S4 once more), but it has a terrible ending, Oceanic 815 montage aside. Exodus feels like the episode before a finale, not the finale itself.

I like the cut of your jib, Panda.

And on the sixth day the LORD David Bowie created man and woman in His image. And he saw that it was good. On the seventh day the LORD created videogames so that He might take the bloody day off for once.

Indeed. My expectations are firmly in check. I tend not to take the 'Lindelcuse' writing credit for granted anymore. There's no guarantees of grandeur.

b-b-but Darlton/Bender/Desmond!!1! CAN'T LOSE

... whatever. Every episode gets a fair shake. If it's good, it's good. Lately, knowing the writers' credits for each episode ahead of time has given me little indication of its overall quality. I've been surprised many times over. The entire writing staff has proven immensely capable, so they're mostly on equal footing in my book. I just let the episode speak for itself.

Bingo! Knowing an upcoming episode was a Sun/Jin ep directed by Paul Edwards would never get my dick hard, but lo and behold, I watched the episode, and I was aroused.

If knowing that Dr. Linus was directed by MARIO VAN FUCKING PEEBLES didn't get your dick hard, then I don't know what to say :(

Not to open a can of worms, but most of the 1977 stuff in general bored me to tears. Maybe why Season 5 is my least favorite. Look forward to rewatching though.

The final scene of the season 1 finale is an iconic moment in LOST. It's very simple but the imagery is definitive.

The final scene of the season 3 finale contains what is probably the greatest twist in television history. There's really no comparison. The other seasons don't even rank.
