In regards to real Locke's resurrection, Carlton Cuse answered that very question to E! --

I'm still hoping Locke-Locke will come alive on the island and Un-Locke, if you will, is a goner. Any insight?

Carlton Cuse: "We've said dead is dead and we're not really going to go back on the rules, [but] I will say that there are surprises in store at the end of the series." That's what the Lost mastermind told us when I asked that exact question.

That "surprise" better not be a goddamn reset!

so we have three separate LOST threads, depending on one's tolerance for spoilers? i'm not even sure i understand this one. so this thread is for speculation and discussion based on what we've seen thus far? and the episode threads are strictly for discussion of the episode itself? man, even the place where LOST discussion takes place is confusing.

Yes, there were damn near riots over the last few weeks whether the podcasts, official previews, or press releases could be discussed in the official threads, even with proper spoiler tags and labels.

It is a bit ridiculous, but it seems like the majority of the most frequent members of LOST-GAF prefer the level of information in this thread. A quick comparison of the "who posted" lists for this and the Dr. Linus thread share 10 of the top 12 posters, or something like that.

This one seems to be where future episode titles/characters plus behind the scenes interviews (that are a bit spoilery) are allowed.

NOT the super spoilers of DarkUFO and the such.

I think there's more people than we think lurking LOST threads(we're being watched). They see a tagged, post, click it, learn MIB will have his own episode and flip the fuck out. And that's what compels them to post. You're right, most people bitching about "spoilers" had little presence in LOST threads if any at all.

Ehh well. If any show deserves three different threads it's LOST.

Oh come the fuck on. Don't give Locke a happy ending

If the surprise is the reset, it won't be much of one considering pretty much every Lost site and thread on the net has discussed it (and pretty much everyone hates the idea of it).

The Surprise is not going to be the Reset (which is going to happen). But the RESET of the RESET!

MindBlowned!

And on the sixth day the LORD David Bowie created man and woman in His image. And he saw that it was good. On the seventh day the LORD created videogames so that He might take the bloody day off for once.
I don't give a fuck what Darlton insinuated, I'm bracing for anything.

But a reset is a member of the class "anything" and that seriously is completely un-fucking-satisfying. I want to laugh at myself when the series is over because the ending was awesome and not a reset.

That's what I'm saying. Might as well make your peace now. The betrayal-ton might sting less later.

I'm not sure it'll be a reset. Almost decided it could be something totally new to any entertainment medium. The SEGWAY of Television Trope's!

It's strange, I can fully understand what's going on now, with the information it's presented. The whole "White vs. Black/Jacob's Squad vs. MIB's Smoking Club" premise.

But how this is going to end...or even be "fought out" between the 2 sides...no clue.

Though, I always wonder what the series started with "The Eye" and carried that imagery throughout the series. I know one of the prevalent rumours from early on, was that the show would end, with Jack back in the Jungle, waking up. Just not sure how you would get to that point, without it being a reset.

It could work if Jack was THE Candidate for Jacob. He opens his eyes to assume his new position.

Ab Aeterno looks great. Richard telling campfire stories about his time on the island? Awesome. Did I see a graveyard under a giant tree? Wonder what that was.

they said before that the end won't be anything we've seen on the show before (so now "Jack" pilot eye opening there) but they also said that before this season.

They've stumped convention more times than they haven't. and they're very self-aware people. They gotta know what a reset would do to the show. I can grudgingly accept characters having a choice to merge into this x-timeline, but a full blown "everyone gets sucked into x timeline" regardless deal is a no go for me.

god damn, i can not wait for next week.

Why You'll Love the Episodes Up Ahead:
After hearing about what's to come, I cannot tell you how excited I am about the final episodes. Things are getting emotional. In a good way. You might cry watching episode 11. (Unless you're dead inside.) And everything we've seen so far is starting to feel like a warmup. Get ready!

What the Island Is: For a couple weeks now, I've been teasing that a four-letter word will be used to describe the island. It has an O, and no A's or E's. Your final clue is this: You'll learn that word next week! Episode number nine is Richard Alpert's (Nestor Carbonell) backstory and it is not to be missed.

There are some more spoilers there, but I figured this is enough.

Soooo, was Hurley born on the island?

I'm thinking that all babies born on the island have some sort of power.

Miles has his gift, Ethan had some bad ass strength (unless this was just...they didn't know what they were doing yet with the Others...big possibility), Aaron seems to be special maybe. And I get the feeling that Smokey was born on the island and maybe he's a shape shifter? I don't know...

I just want to know why Hurley can see dead people.

well not really...yet
A minor sneak peak clip from Next weeks episode (nothing spoilery)

Link

I love how chill Jack is. Two seasons ago he would have blown up the entire beach by the end of the clip :lol

Fear of a GAF Planet
I have no idea what this thread is about, but the title said I had to post in here or get banned.

And when is that Samurai guy coming back. I like the idea of things making even less sense than they already do.

There's another sneak peak here. Nothing we don't know really but it still gets me hyped.

The lighting and makeup differences in the newly inserted footage is pretty jarring. :lol

Interesting.
Unless Richard is standing right outside the room or something, the flashbacks for this episode might not belong exclusively to him.

And it's nice to hear that classic WHOOSH sound again :D

I know what this word is. It was posted in one of the regular episode threads.
And it has me very excited for the episode.

As usual, watch out for the Guest List of the next episode. Should be interesting...
I think I'll try and avoid it for this episode. With it being an Alpert episode, it shouldn't just be people randomly popping up in sideways world.

Edit: Damn, too late lol. Saw one of the promotional photos which spoiled a returning character. I'm very happy about it though. YES!

Question: I keep hearing about this groundbreaking 15th episode of Lost that features none of the series regulars. Can you spill any dirt on why that might be? —Brittany
Ausiello: It’s not completely accurate to say there are no series regulars in it. It would be more accurate to say it’s really light on series regulars. As far as why, let’s just say it’s a big mythology episode and leave it at that.

hmm

I did a google search for the episode title, looking for any interviews or what not and a picture from the episode popped revealing a certain someone. Don't really feel all that spoiled since I expected it, but yea watch out.

Guess I should have said "try not to see ANYTHING about the upcoming episode." Yes, we already know it's about Richard. But yeah, who you guys saw, is who I was implying about.

So, question.....

I'm holding out for real Locke to come back and slap around the Smoke Monster like he was Claire.

My wife says I should prob. not get to excited about that, she says dead is dead.

Anyone have any spoilers on this? Locke is my favorite character and if the real Locke story ends with him being killed by Ben, it would be a bit disapointing.

Dead is not dead in the case of Locke. Though so he was, for 3 days and 3 nights.
Locke will return.

I really should stay out of this thread, not because of the spoilers, but because it's raising my hype-levels to unbearable :lol
