Well, who else could it be? Boss?! (Laughs)
True

However Namesless says his list shows
The Last Recruit as a Jack episode, and the Candidate as not

Which makes no sense, but still, Id hate for that to turn out correct :lol

will totally Facebook friend you! *giggle* *LOL*
It'll be revealed in the end that Jack was conned by Jacob into thinking he was The Candidate, and then Locke resurrects at the end of the episode to bone Claire AND Jack's mom.

I'm assuming Keamy will show up BEFORE the Sayid incident, showing how Jin got into the freezer.

And I hope The Final Recruit is a KATE episode.

OH BOY!

The Last Recruit will be Locke centric, I bet. THE BOSS will never believe Jack has subverted him.

Darlton don't even bother distinguishing between Locke and MIB on the podcast. Locke ain't ever coming back, man.
I would actually think that's exactly the evidence necessary to ascertain that Locke IS coming back in the form of ousting MiB from his wretched doppelganger.

If Locke ever sets foot on the island knowing that Ben killed him and everything that happened before his death, show jumps the shark. It'd be ridiculous. Don't know why anyone wants it.

I lay my shark jumping barriers down at space/aliens/unrealistic future/deus ex machina. Everything before that, is just progress.

I've got a pretty high threshold. All I require is that people don't come back to life. I consider it a simple request! The Sayid stuff was borderline enough as it is, but I didn't have a 9 months to think about how perfect his death was before he came back...

I don't know if this is even a spoiler.

Is widmore the people Jacob was talking about coming to the island?

Before the start of the season DarkUFO asked his sources (those who had either read the full scripts, seen the video dailies and/or final post production) to rate the episodes currently written (the first 9) out of 10. The results were pretty damn accurate against the viewer poll:

Seems like you should get your expectations in check for tomorrow.

He has just posted the results from his sources for episodes 10-16. Click here to view them.

Pretty disappointed by Desmond's episode rating :(

with regards to the finales rating -
seems like its not really blowing anyone away...
It's really the set-up for the finale, and it isn't written by Darlton like the 2 hour finale is (Episodes 17-18). Also, this might not be as accurate as the first batch as they only had 5 sources instead of the 9 they had originally.

I totally would have expected the scores for Everbody Loves Huge and The Packaged to be switched with those of Happily Ever After and The Last Recruit. Odd.

yeah, I edited my post when I realized that it wasn't actually the finale :)

Also I'm totally not surprised by
Hugo's ep having a high score. His shift in timeline X is by far the most intriguing character development they've presented so far.

Seems like a pretty strong season overall, assuming the finale hits the right notes.

Yeah, there are a few people in the comments section moaning about the fact that there are a couple of meh episodes. What season doesn't have a couple of meh episodes? The fact that it will continue to be dominated by 8/10 and 9/10 episodes shows it's overall strength. Most seasons have, aside from the finale, a couple of WOW episodes. Season 6 seems to have at least double that.

They've added a couple more sources and updated source 5 who, for some strange reason, was rating them out of 9. The averages are higher now.

DarkUFO said in the comments: The later the episode, the less likely it is that people have seen it and are probably purely basing on the scripts/storyboards. Episodes will get much higher rated as we go on when all the editing and musical scores are added so take some of these with a pinch of salt for now.

Also, I'd imagine that you couldn't gather a great opinion of an episode based entirely on dailies, since the show relies pretty heavily on editing. If Happily Ever After is at all like The Constant (oh god please) in terms of editing, I'd say it would be pretty difficult to judge the episode based on raw footage/teleplay/story boards.

Yeah, Sundown was received fantastically but, whilst they gave it a pretty high rating, it was their second lowest rated episode out of the ones we have seen after What Kate Does. Can't really imagine the final scene of Sundown having any impact on paper.

Even if tonight's episode proves to be underwhelming, the next episode is going to fuck the planet in ways we cannot even imagine, so it'll be alright.

I would take those for a grain of salt regardless. Who knows what they're basing they're opinions on--as far as judging an episode by the amount of answers or by the story it's telling. Aside from there being no way to tell what they actually saw.read.

Don't take these too seriously either way, gentlemen.

Yeah, this is true. Though, interesting is the fact of how the first 6 episodes scored similar ratings from the online population, with the ratings of MYSTERY GUESTS 1-7.

kind of surprised at the ratings. i'd have thought that the last group of episodes would all score pretty high.

Agreed. Seems like that LOW scored episode has some "all over the place" ratings. 2 REALLY low scores, some medium, and then good ole Source #6 who likes everything. I'm probably just like #6 myself. Maybe I am #6...

Not too excited for the hurley episode. :/
I don't want another van episode to waste my time, especially so close to the finale.

Hurley has proven to be REALLY important (he's the only motherfucker that can talk to Jacob) to how the series is going to pan out, so I don't think we're going to get another light-hearted Hurley mis-adventure episode at this point anymore.

And on the sixth day the LORD David Bowie created man and woman in His image. And he saw that it was good. On the seventh day the LORD created videogames so that He might take the bloody day off for once.

I would have said the same thing, but with pretty much top scores from all of the sources it must be something special. As has been said, we shouldn't base our hype or apprehension on these scores because we don't know how much of the episode they've seen and we'll all have different opinions, but with all scores above 9 (aside from miserable source 5 who didn't rate anything 9 or above) I can't see it not delivering.

Hurley's episode will be nice.

He has one of the last things I want explained...

WHY CAN HE TALK TO THE DEAD?

That, the origins of the island, and the Jacob info we want, are the only things I really want to know.

The ratings for episode
14
are really interesting.

I'm curious if they are because the episode is weak writing wise (like what kate does) or if it is due to an event that takes place that the "sources" didn't like....

That's supposed to be the one with the big reveal, os I dunno what they're on about.

I'm gonna try not to pay attention to those ratings. who the hell knows what they're based on, i.e., what the rater wanted or hated.

Don't you dare interrupt the Jack avatar party. Finally, we have a place to feel at peace here in the spoiler thread. They hate our boy over there in the episode thread. :(

In regards to real Locke's resurrection, Carlton Cuse answered that very question to E! --

I'm still hoping Locke-Locke will come alive on the island and Un-Locke, if you will, is a goner. Any insight?

Carlton Cuse: "We've said dead is dead and we're not really going to go back on the rules, [but] I will say that there are surprises in store at the end of the series." That's what the Lost mastermind told us when I asked that exact question.
