LttP: Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated

So, heard some very positive impressions about this, funnily enough from the thread about that hammy looking new Scooby Doo show. I've loved different versions of the show in the past, the original series, 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, Zombie Island, and the live action flicks (Hey, I liked them!).

So I'm very surprised that this is... great, actually. An over-arching plot, actual attempts at character development, and it's... funny! No, it genuinely is. Not try-hard Family Guy esque comedy like the short clip of "Be Cool" either, like actually comedically sound.

It's on US Netflix if anybody has it, and I highly recommend for any fans of SD in the past.

One thing I don't like: they turned Velma into a control freak :\

It was so good. That reminds me, I need to watch the last few episodes. I have no idea how we get this and then we get whatever the fuck CN is doing with the series next. They'll never let Scooby stay consistent.

If you were ever a Hanna-Barbara fan you owe it to yourself to watch the series. Through and through it is a love letter to the duo's cartoons.

i never saw the last batch of Season 1 episodes, but i loved what i watched.

does anyone know if S1 & S2 wrap up the "overarching" story well?

According to people in the other thread, yes. It was always planned to be 2 series reportedly, so no "Spectacular Spiderman" situation of unresolved plotlines.

That said, if people could spoiler tag I'd be very grateful, only about halfway through S1!

Definately a great series. I loved the older shows but this defiantely had a better story progression. The older ones seemed just like weekly mystery episodes where this series had an actual story arch mixed in.

Harlan Ellison episode was amazing

"Oh, is it like that?"

Mystery Inc, Ghoul School, Zombie Island & Witch's Ghost are my favourite scooby related things
