I really, really love this game:
Where the hell is this 'log book'?
Is this game based on the film?
Gotta say love the little extra bits of stuff u get at the end too.
Nice pic, I took a similar one earlier. Finally finished the story too. I haven't cleared out all the areas and doubt I will now. I have enjoyed my 30 hours with the game but couldn't give it more than a 7.5 due to the repetitive nature of the open world tasks. Would definitely be on board for an improved sequel though.
Fury road soundtrack is awesome with this game ! Well.... obviously
Nice. This game needs all the positive exposure it can get.So here is about a 15 minute video I did on Mad Max and how much I enjoy it, even with its potential downfalls for some players.

Just started a half hour ago. Does max feel laggy in his movements to anyone else? Feels very heavy, almost Witcher like. The fight controls feel good though, in that batman way.
The buggy feels heavy as hell too. It doesn't turn immediately then kinda rips in that direction all at once. This is disappointing.
I could spend countless hours on the photomode alone. Goddamn.
It grows on you, took me a few hours now Max feels great. Plus, once you start upgrading the Opus it handles much better
Got Jeets down to 0% last night. I had a blast doing it too. Now on to Gut Gash's territory.
I've also almost leveled Max out on Griffa tokens.
He's going to be unstoppable soon.
Only 2 mine field per area, and in that only 3 per spot. The dog works well for me. Once you get it down, you can clear them out fast. They will blow up the enemy vehicles if you lure them in the field.I'm working on Jeets territory right now. All I have to say is fuck mine fields.
13 hours in, Still need to finish some work in Jeets territory but went to Gutgash stronghold tonight via story mission which was cool, Game has been a blast to play especially now that I'm getting pretty decent with the on foot combat, and the semi awkward control (Max's half hop instead of a jump still has me scratching my head tho lol).
Does the hop have ANY fucking use? Seems like any time you have to go go higher ground there's a cliff to climb. You can't even use it to jump across gaps cause it's unresponsive and shortYes, I wish they would somehow patch in a much better jump.

This game really feels like the text book definition of 'cult classic' to me.
That is to say, if you can make your peace with its glaring problems, you'll probably love it and defend it vehemently. If those problems are significant for you, you probably wont make it out of hour three.
Alternate or default, I just cannot come to grips with the control scheme in this game. When you borrow so heavily from other games, but make significant changes to the controls everyone is used to, it's like fighting muscle memory to play it. I'm like 15 hours in and I'm STILL accidentally shooting my gun in combat.
I 100% agree with the people ITT saying a lot of the open world tasks feel like busy work. Not only is the game Ubisoft-esque, but at times it actually feels early Assassin's Creed-esque (that's bad). When you walk up to a stranger parked just outside a base, to get the SAME bit of intel every time (there's always a side entrance to the base, lads) it seriously feels like the AC1 template of eavesdropping before an assassination. The scarecrows and snipers are fun for a while, but eventually you're just taking them down to tick them off your checklist. The convoys don't go anywhere. They just go in a circle waiting to be killed. That's not a convoy. The bases have decently elaborate design and room for exploration but generally speaking, they are so samey.
... but with all that said, I'm in the pro-Mad Max camp. The combat is still satisfying. The world is still fantastic for any fans of the fiction. Photo mode is a joy. The car combat is aces. The story is nothing but the dialog is solid if you are all about the Mad Max style. Chumbucket will probably be overlooked in some 'New Character of the Year' awards this year, which is a travesty.

Mine didn't trigger until i selected the correct parts in the 1st and 3rd circles there. I'd already unlocked a better part than the mission required and it didn't trigger until I downgraded the part to the one that was marked with the quest/green circle. Try that and back out of the pause screen and it might trigger.I think my game is bugged? Can't seem to progress from here:
That piece that is locked out says I need to complete that story mission, but my story mission currently is to build this car. I also have all blue side missions complete. I hope I'm just dumb and this isn't a bug.

I tried that, but I changed everything back without backing out of the pause screen before I switched everything back. I'll give that a shot tomorrow, thanks.Mine didn't trigger until i selected the correct parts in the 1st and 3rd circles there. I see people saying they are getting it cheap on PC... WHERE? lol
I would imagine an open world game takes a lot of money and resources to develop, and a low 70s score probably does not justify a sequel.
So I'm still in Jeet's territory but I have a question -- when I harpoon a tire, I always hear Chumbucket say something like 'Stomp it and rip that tire right off!'...
But I don't know exactly what I'm supposed to do. It sounds like it means hit nitro and pull it off at speed, which makes sense, but I've tested this on a still car and it doesn't seem to work. I have seen cars driving on their rims, so I know i've destroyed tires... just want to know if there is something beyond what I'm doing to make it work right.

I'm hooked too. I went from Fantasy Life, of all things, to this. That carrot on a stick gameplay hooks me hopelessly, no matter how trivial the reward isI'm absolutely and helplessly hooked to this game.
Yesterday I put aside wasteland missions and story missions, cleaned up Jeet's zone, and then went to Gutgash's and reduced threat to 1 there for the car upgrades.
Went to pink eye's after and started working that threat meter down, so now I have a better V8 engine.
My car is now looking really aggressive, so awesome, have Max fully upgraded too. I can't put this game down and I've been playing for 25 hours total since last thursday. What is MGSV?
