That sweater on Peggy's dorky coworker with the Carson bit might be the ugliest thing worn on the show in history.

Poor quality gifs, but there was lots of good stuff from Peggy last night:

Everyone's new look is downright terrible. I had to pause and laugh for 5 minutes when I saw Ken, Harry and Pete standing next to each other. Everyone is so damn ugly except Bob.

I know right? Ginsberg looks awful now. And let's not even start with that monstrosity growing on Stan's face.

Anybody has a picture of Linda Cardenelli in yesterday's episode? I didn't recognize her at all during the show last night and now I'm curious.

She said, "Our kid is a freshman in college" and I was confused because I knew how young she was. But I guess it's possible she had the child really young or she's not his 1st wife.

Oh god GINSBERG! I was shaking my head when I saw him. Also, Peggy is just... oh Peggy. I like how her Laura Bush styles were probably super modern and trendy, but good lord, did she look dumpy. I miss Peggy's little girl dress from the earlier seasons. The blue one with the white collar.

Well she's 37 so it's not that young. A bit borderline but I think the character is supposed to be older anyway.

Sad what Peggy is becoming, but it's obvious that's where she would go, she never really fit in with the leftists.

The mutton chops and comb over's people had were awful, damn.

I hope there isn't any cheerful rehabilitation for Don, meaning I don't want him to find a real wife who he remains married to, settles down or finds true happiness. I feel like that would be a boring waste of such a great character and arc.

Agreed. I actually though Peggy looked not half bad in the earlier seasons. Now...not so much.

Do they censor this on AMC? On iTunes 3 instances of "fuck" were censored. I don't remember this from last season.

Did they censor Roger's bare ass at the end of S5 last year? I didn't remember that being blurred out last year, but the rebroadcast they played yesterday morning was censored.

Yeah, I did not recognize her either until she was in the bed with whats his name.

AMC only allows 1 audible, clearly pronounced fuck per season of a show on its network (I think I learnt this from Breaking Bad).

The rest have to be censored, only uncensored on the homevideo releases (wait for the Bluray/DVDs).

EDIT:- When it comes to allowed profanity and sexual content the hierarchy is as follows:-

Premium Cable (HBO,Showtime,Cinemax,Starz) - 100% Uncensored on 1st time broadcasts and subsequent ones. No limitations for AO content at all, plays by their own rules. Sky is the limit.

Basic Cable (FX, AMC) - Limited profanity (f words in particular) and sexposition. A step down compared to Premium Cable

Public Access - Usual FCC rules applied to broadcasts. Strict regulation of 'offensive' material. Recent 'trends' however indicate an increasing tolerance towards extreme depictions of violence on primetime, especially if it's prefaced with a viewer's discretion. Hannibal is a very recent example.

Say what now? That's one of the most dumbest things I've heard about TV networks. What's the fucking point in that?

Fantabulous premiere. Loved the entire thing. A bit disappointed that Joan and Pete only played minimal roles, but you can't expect them to shove every character into every episode now can we? This isn't Game of Thrones!

Regarding profanity on AMC, here's Vince Gilligan a few years ago:
Q: Breaking Bad obviously surpasses AMC's limits for profanity -- you mute the F-words when they appear. What was behind the decision to put the language in the show and then mute it when it airs?

A: This is still an ongoing argument. They really don't want me doing words that they have to mute. I don't want to go backward. To me, the horse is kind of out of the barn now, and we've got characters on our show that are never going to say "freakin'." They're never going to tone down their language. I feel like the audience gets it, the audience does the math. I know some people were expressing their disappointment in the words being dropped out, but to me the alternative is less palatable, which is to change the way people talk. I'd rather have them talk the way they would talk. Even having said that, even last season we'd have the occasional F-word, but we'd only have two per hour that we'd have to bleep. So it's not like we had a string of them. There are very byzantine rules that seem to change week to week. They don't seem hard and fast; they seem kind of arbitrary.

I prefer bleeping, because then you know you're missing something. I think we made a mistake first season to dip stuff, but that was AMC's call. I think the audience gets it, and it feels more authentic that way. You're not having the actual word, but everyone knows what the word is, and then you have value added when you get to the point of a DVD set, because then you can sell the DVD uncut or unbleeped. That's my argument. There's no perfect scenario there, because we're never going to be allowed to be HBO and have the F-word uncut, but the least egregious way to go about it, the smallest sin, would be to have them talk the way they really would talk and then just bleep the objectionable words. I'm hoping to win that battle, but we'll see. [laughs]

We actually have the same policy on GAF, I hope you enjoyed that post.

Craziness. Thanks for clarifying.

Watched first 2 seasons on Blu-ray. Must be remembering those!

It was an obvious pun on a serious note. I sure don't hope that is a bannable offence? In community threads there's no problem in saying that at least.
It was just a joke about being able to swear once. No, GAF doesn't ban people for saying fuck, or cunt in fact, go wild.
