I've been pretty lucky so far - noone's quit out on me online yet if I'm about to win.
And does anyone know how the heck the leaderboard system works for this in terms of win/loss record? Does it also take into account who you're playing against, the decks involved, win differential, etc?

Ive had to quit ranked matches because of a glitch that doesnt let you play lands, I hope the patch addresses this.

On the other hand i easyly dominate with the GRB deck. Unlocked all the cards including the last dragon an amazing 8/8 trampler flyer with haste. Nomnomnom

That GRB deck is a real bitch if it gets a ton of those "spawn a few 1/1s" out early, along with that 4/4 creature that generates even more 1/1s if it dies.Grecco said:

All I know is I'm pretty sure my ranked record is slightly over .500, yet I'm slowly going up on the leaderboard numbers, so whatever rating system they're using isn't using win % as the only factor.AstroLad said:

Yep, offline, online ranked or private. Anytime you win you get a card for the deck you won with, up to 17 for each of the 8 decks (136 total cards to unlock). Online you don't see the congrats screen, but if you pay attention you'll see you have an extra card when you go back to the lobby.

You also don't see it for the co-op campaign. Alas, you can't be logged in twice so you can't double up on your unlockings.

This game is great, but god damn is it frustrating. I'm only on the second fight and it's FRUSTRATING.
I've dueled this bitch like 6 times now... to get close only for her to pull something out of her ass.

I guess I jinxed myself, as I ran into a bunch of early quitters last night. :lol
There really should be a "concede match" option for when people realize there's no way they can come back, at least that way we can still get our card unlocks. But I realize that would just make it easier for dumb cheaters to try and pad their win totals.

I just did Mind Rot and the CPU only discarded 1 card. He still has 2 in his hand. wtf.

ugh, online play has got me down. I've played about a total of 15 matches and I'd say 13 of them were against the Black / Green elf deck. I'm guessing these are people who are just choosing that deck because supposedly its the best but everyone time I'm about to win they rage quit. *sigh*
That's funny b/c I see it pretty rarely. Which is mildly annoying because a lot of the time the other person will be a color I want to be when really I just want to crush elves with an unpopular/underrated deck. Maybe it's caught on more now though as people are unlocking cards.Coldsnap said:

So I spent almost two hours of my life playing the elf deck versus the computer. I ended up playing all but 2 cards in my deck. Final life totals Me: 129 CPU: -13798
The game was lagging so badly, I was afraid it was gonna crash at any minute. In fact there were a few times it locked up but started back up after a few seconds. If the performance issues and me being afraid of it crashing didn't happen, I'd had the computer down to -25K easily.

In high school (Invasion era) I was pretty active in the Type II tournament scene in my area. I even wrote a few articles on deckbuilding. I havent played for years. This game has been a fun, but frustrating walk down memory lane.
I wish I had more control over my deck's cards, because as it stands its a little tiresome trying to get a cohesive deck that uses strong cards AND has a decent mana curve.
Pretty good stuff. Too bad this reminds me that I am not that good at actually playing:lol
So far my favorite deck is the white one. Mostly cuz I like Weenie decks and it can kind of function as one.
In general, with mtg at least, time spent not losing is time better spent winning. That said, in multiplayer, life gain is sort of more important and Platinum Angel could be good there. Platinum Angel is okay in a deck that is built to use it properly, but I doubt this game has one. Not sure...

That card is silly. The other guy can't lose either. Its a 4/4 artifact creature, so its pretty easy to dispose of late in the game (the only time it would matter).Saerk said:

This game is still bugging out when it comes to discarding. I played Ravenous Rats and they didn't discard anything but Megrim still triggered. It makes no sense.
Also my most valuable card is Old Man Of The Sea, which looks to be about 40 bucks.
