How is it that standard decks wind up having a significantly higher non-land:land ratio than draft decks? I typically run 16-17 lands in a 40-card draft deck, and even then I can run into mana problems. Sometimes it feels as though I can't make a competitive dual-colour deck without pricey fetchlands.
I've abandoned the idea of buying more Tezzerets. I'm using the $35 to buy a bunch of other useful singles that will make an impact in my casual standard decks - staples like Birds of Paradise, which I've never owned. Now I'm debating whether or not I should open the other of the two Worldwake fat packs I picked up Thursday. Another Jace, or even a foil Jace would be sweet, but there's no guarantee I'll get one...
