the big problem for me is that they make sorcery removals even weaker than they already are. That, and the fact that all best vehicles are 2 mana beatdown fliers and to a lesser extend a 3 mana hard-to-remove flier with lifelink and a 5 mana flying inferno titan. And caravan, which is fine

It's better that wizards pushed vechiles really hard rather than half ass a new mechanic. A lot of your issues steam from the cards being pushed rather than the mechanic itself.

Okay, so what this mostly confirms for us is that they actually made a big org chart change, and now all the digital teams now roll under the WotC Digital Studio directly, instead of the previous status quo where MTGO rolled up to R&D. That would also line up with Worth getting fired -- his teams got moved under Steefel and their efforts to improve MTGO in the short term are rolled together as part of the same initiative that's going to build a replacement in the longer term. (As the Toy Fair news reconfirms again, it doesn't mean no replacement exists.)
For the record, this is almost certainly a good thing -- it's another sign of actual professional software management being applied instead of whatever halfassed nonsense they had before.
They're a force multiplier on summoning-sick creatures that isn't vulnerable to normal creature removal.
After the Kaladesh block threads, at this point I'm seriously considering a mandate that all future threads be hip-hop references, lol.
Sorcery speed removal should have these drawbacks but be more efficient that instant speed removal. Cards like innocent blood or dec in stone show that removal can be more efficient at sorcery speed but have these issues. Similar to the other post, it sounds like you have a bigger issue with power level rather than the actual mechanic. Basically gaf is whining about the cards being op.

Vehicles only have 1 showcase and while their approach to constructed is supposedly changing they have shown no inclination that it applies to limited in any form.
All the vehicles are big beaters, Daredevil Dragster is about the only vehicle that's interesting from a design perspective. Wizards has not proven they are able to make something compelling with the mechanic so far.
well, vehicles are the biggest threat at the moment, vehicles are completely immune to sorceries that don't target artifacts specifically, therefore the only sorcery speed removal that even sees marginal play is fugimate which only gets rid of the pilots. I think barely anyone plays declaration in stone anymore
Went 3-1-1 at FNM with the Zombie list I posted before. I drew against GW and lost against 4 Color Copy Cat. My wins were against Mardu, BR Aggro, and UB Control. Wish I had played against BG once to practice the matchup. Mardu was surprisingly good for me, my removal spells are just extremely efficient and won only seeing 1 Amalgam in all the games combined. Made me wonder if I should try making a BR Control deck, which probably just scoops against Combo.

I'm looking for a a way to make Jace into Slim Shady.
I would argue that Caravan, Skysovereign, Consul Flagship, Peacewalker Colossus, Consulate dreadnought, and Heart of Kiran are interesting designs as well. Heart of Kiran should have had a higher crew cost so you are forced into using the ability more, Dreadnought is a fun build around me card, Skysovereign is sorcery speed removal that becomes a great grindy creature, Peacewalker Colossus is another fun build around me card for, etc.
The issue with Vehicles steams from Gideon, ally. Pooping out 2/2s which can crew most of the vehicles is the biggest issue imho. If standard didn't have gideon around then vehicle decks would feel the effects of wraths rather than rebuilding because gideon is so overpowered.
The difference is that people on this forum are saying that the mechanic as a whole is bad. I see NO complaining about how stupid it is that green gets so much card advantage attached to all of it's creatures. Nor do I see complaining about how powerful constrictor/ballista are. Vehicles aren't even the best cards in standard; Gideon is. Gideon's dominance just makes the reflector mage ban look embarrassing. This is my question to gaf. How powerful are vechiles without Gideon? With the exception of smuggler's copter, only aethersphere harvester sees play in non gideon decks.
You're better off with other characters for this, but:
Jace = Swim Shady (blue = water, ha. ha. no) / Sim Shady (illusions! also bad) / Skim Shady (mind reading. bad)
Liliana/Sorin = Grim Shady / Hymn Shady (obvious I think)
Gideon = Gym Shady (duh, meatslab)
Chandra = Tim Shady (because she pings...?)
Nissa = Trim Shady (because plants...)
Marchesa = Prim Shady (she dresses proper?)

If they just have a little extra sure and they would be boring beaters too but the interesting ones to more than just do that little extra. If Prime Titans just fetched basics it'd be a boring big beater for example.
You're right with Heart of Kiran and the alternative crew and I already acknowledged Peacewalker Colossus. They are more than just big beaters, Heart not even that much requiring a crew 3.
They COULD... but I feel like they've tied it to Kaladesh now and that sucks.

WotC at E3? That's interesting to say the least. I can see a "MTG with Hearthstone skin" attracting some attention. Right now, MTGO is too complex and Duels is too simple. There needs to be a middle ground product.
