You could via Xcloud, but having tried Halo 5 that way once a while back I wouldn't recommend it

Theyre the same game so yes (as in they share every update. Otherwise crossplay would be broken from update variety)

Possible subtle advert but if they're still trying to improve things I can't fault that. I hope that one day the game has all of the content a Halo game should have and works well.
