Looks like Dragon Age: The Veilguard just received its final major update

I don't have any history at all with dragon age but decided to give this a go tonight since it's on gamepass and I just also started avowed. And to me it looks like dragon age veilguard is the better game.
If you had history with Dragon Age you would understand why this is such a bad sequel. Dragon Age fans dislike this game more than anyone else.

It did suck. It had fun gameplay but everything else about it was ass.

The loot was non-existent, endgame had you repeating the same 3 dungeons/raids, the loading screens were terrible, the story was bland with a shit badguy and the hub area was lifeless and boring.. just to name a few things.

Bad game.

Have to disagree with this take. Anthem did not have a proper endgame, loot was uninteresting, the fashion game was decent at best, and the communications with the devs for a live service game was very poor. Movement was amazing though.
Seems that both of y'all agree that it was in fact the movement that was well above average.

That alone was enough for me to enjoy the playthrough of the main campaign. But yeah, everything else was not great.

IDK if anyone else was happy when AC finally reached their heritage settings, but Japanese bros got fucked over on that. Hopefully no one in Japan plays UbiSlop games.

Those steps toward the table right when the video starts... Why are they bending their names like that? Does EA understand basic human locomotion? I'm literally playing a $8 one-man-dev game right now with 10x better walking animations.
They don't even understand basic human biology and you are asking about locomotion?

Cmon buddy.

Being that this is EA and they stated no plans for DLC from the get-go, tells you that they knew this game was gonna tank

Wild how prioritizing identity politics while simultaneously dumbing down everything that makes Dragon Age, Dragon Age..didn't work out for them

Yes, I'll never understand why they choose DA/a known IP for this move to strip it of any RPG elements that the IP had and was known for. If you want to make an action game with some light RPG core mechanics, go for a certain tone and visual style, be my guest, but take an IP that's fitting or make something new then.

It really shows that EA is a pimp and view its IPs as whores and just use them as they see fit without caring about the core identity and abusing a name that has lost any meaning, both BioWare and Dragon Age. They are nothing but soulless husks thrown into oblivion and will vanish in utter insignificance.

Well they did it because they figured they could push a shovelware trash game but as long as you attach a well known IP to it, it'll sell well
