It would be hilarious if X started issuing DMCA requests to take down the screenshots many of these subreddits plan to allow instead of links. These subreddits can't survive without content and most of it comes from social media. With many of them now spreading out to banning facebook and instagram they're going to starve themselves right out of relevance.
Just like with every other performative protest reddit is going to support it until it starts costing them money.
