Wow, a house made of bricks in the US? :D
For real tho, why Americans don't use bricks? I know the wood-wall-thing you use provides good insulation and probably has a good cost, but you can literally trip and make a huge hole in the wall.

Is wood it better for earthquakes? I'm asking because we don't have quakes here.

We use bricks just not as often as wood frame homes. And it’s almost impossible to trip and make a huge hole in the wall accidentally.
